I literally just left and I am writing this in tears in my eyes. I had to grow out my eyebrows for over a month because the last lady did them so thin and horrible. I've been coming here for a year and my regular lady is no longer here. I came back again today and this new lady did my eyebrows and oh man I hate myself for coming back. Thanks to Groupon, I was able to try Selah Threading & Salon. In the past, I've gotten my eyebrows threaded and tinted at Ruby's Center at Global Mall. I prefer threading to waxing. From what I've learn, threading originated from India although some may dispute it. All I know is EVERY threader (is that a word) I've seen is Indian or Desi origin. Honestly, threading is not that expensive. If you go to the American malls, you get ripped off cause average threading is $6 versus mall is $10. Just look for local Desi beauty shops for deals. Check Groupon, it's even cheaper, like $4. Selah Threading & Salon is located in the Goodwill, Dollar Tree, and Hardees plaza off Lawrenceville Hwy (US 29) between Harbins Road and Inland Way. If you are facing Goodwill, it will be a few doors down on the left. The plaza, itself, doesn't have much going on. There is plenty of parking and it is not crowded. They have waxing services too for other parts of the hairy body. They are super sweet and take their time in perfecting the look for you. They are very courteous and make sure you are happy before you leave. I'm not sure how busy they get but I arrived right when they open. I love this place! Definitely the cheapest place to get your eyebrows threaded that I've seen. If you get the Groupon app, they have amazing deals that are even cheaper than they already offer! The ladies that work there know what they're doing, and they normally always ask if you want extra things done, which I don't, but I appreciate the hustle. Bought the underarm wax on groupon. As soon as I walked in, the maybe owner, came up really close to me and asked if I wanted a brazillan wax. She also said that the Groupon was not for Thurs-Friday-Saturday, but it was okay since I bought I could still come. She then asked if I was a repeat customer, because the groupon was not for return visitors, even though the groupon tells you you can buy the groupon again. I told her I did not want the brazillan wax. I asked about the facial special (15 for a mask and massage) and she told me the one for 45 was much better. While she was doing the facial she was trying to sell me on buying more wax deals, and getting the package of facials. She asked me, during the facial, if I would be paying with cash or card. She leaned over me and whispered that she would not charge me for the back massage that she gave me. Good! I didn't ask for it. After the facial at the payment stand, she kept trying to upsell me. I refused the 3-facial deal (it was horrible, freezing cold water, super rushed, upsold the whole time, and she kept telling to relax even thought it was her making me so nervous). I went expecting to spend 5 dollars for a tip, and left spending 100. If you are good at managing high pressure sales, you will be fine. Oh-- she also asked as I was walking out the door if I wanted my eyebrows cleaned-- for only 7! So rude and extremely obviously greedy. Terrible. read more

I went there to get a Brazilian wax and got a exfoliant after. She didn't have on gloves most of the time and was waking in and out dealing with other clients during my "$35 exfoliant treatment" over priced, not hygienic and honestly was not worth it. From the photos, this place don't look very promising. I decided to go anyway since it was close to home, and eyebrows grow back fast enough. When I walked in though, the place was very clean, and there was no wait. I got my eyebrows threaded, and my mom did a full face with a face mask. My mom, a very picky Vietnamese woman, said that this place was the best since they go over the same spot twice. My eyebrows turned out very nicely as well! This has been the worst wax experience and I will never return to this place. This is a prime example of you get what you pay for. I will take responsibility for trying to get a cheap wax. I made a Groupon purchase for a $15 wax and called 7/20 at 4 pm for an appointment. The lady on the phone told me to come at 11:30 am. On 7/21. I go in today of course she's saying she's triple booked and can't take me I'm like but... on the phone y'all said 11:30. Anyways I'm not one to argue I looked for another place on my phone then she said if you give me $20 now you can cancel the Groupon and I'll take you right now... I just accepted the deal because I have a trip planned tomorrow. When I went in that room she was sweeping over my feet. Ok still no issue. I was laying so uncomfortably the entire time. She was rushing so the hot wax was all over me,burning me. she was waxing so fast and making me pull my own skin so she could reach certain areas, really didn't do a FULL BRAZILIAN WAX. More like 80% (i know because I get waxes all the time)I was in shock and thought about just stopping half way multiple times but I just let her finish. My eyes were watering because I was in disbelief that people could treat people like this. I will never return to this place, this is my first review ever made because I was in shock at the service. I was very excited when I saw that a threading salon was coming to the area! It's en route to and from work for me so it was a very convenient location in the Goodwill shopping center off Lawrenceville Highway. First time customers get a special deal, I think it was $12 for 3 brow threading sessions and even less for 3 upper lip sessions. The owner did exactly as I wanted, not a hair more. I was growing my brows out from a botched job at another place and she explained to me how to allow my hairs to grow out to achieve the look I wanted and what NOT to do. Their regular prices were not that bad either, I think it's $5-6 for brows. I purchased another 3-visit card for $15.00 which equates to $5/brow threading which is 1/2 the price of Arches and many other salons. You get excellent customer service and attention for less than $10 (with tip)! They do waxing and a number of other salon services but I've only done the threading and waxing. They're new so it's not that busy. I'm usually in and out in less than 15 minutes. If you're in the area, give them a try! read more

I love Sellah but I am quite upset with service several times, it's not the best service anymore I had the best service when I went there very first time. Staffs are not that great. I went to Sellah salon today i told one of the staff that I'm doing facial, underarm and eyebrow she did not do my eyebrows because she said that she's taking exams. After the mask she supposed to wipe off my mask instead she told me to go to restroom and wipe off the mask, restroom was not clean, all the mirror were not clean. Buyer Beware! Refund your Groupon and Living Social deals ASAP! I thought seeing the original price was an indication of the quality of service. A normal Brazilian wax is $35 and the original price of an Eyebrow threading before the deal was $14. $14 for threading is a bit high but I thought that could simply mean the quality of service. Living Social deal Brazilian wax $17 Eyebrows $5 First reaction was store was dirty, no one was inside except the attendant at 3pm. Decided to add a lip service since the flyer next to the register said it was $2. Sitting in the chair I immediately noticed that there were numerous old threads from previous clients. No one else was in the store so these threads should have been thrown away after each client. Eyebrow threading was a good job and she listened to how I wanted my eyebrows. Filled in my eyebrows with a powder and upon application I realized that the brush was dirty from prior use. I ignored it because I was washing my face right afterwards. When it came to my lip she missed several patches. I am olive skin toned with dark thin hairs so these are easily noticeable. Around the second time around my lip was cut multiple times. I went to into the room for the Brazilian wax and I immediately walked out. On the table was a new sheet like at every establishment but there was a pink faded towel with dark dry hard spots of old wax. I did not know if this was a freshly laundered table that had stains set in or a towel that is used multiple . When I went to pay the lip threading was not $2 like the flyer said and not the $3 like the board behind the counter said either but the woman was going to charge me $4. I don't mind paying that price if I was already known about it but with multiple pricing I felt confused. I ended up paying $3. I will never go back and I am refunding my Brazilian. read more
