We hired her for 1hour to entertain kids with age range 3-5 years old. All the kids were literally so focused on her tricks and it was a hit. I did not hire this company but wanted others to be aware of their booking process that I did walk through. I filled out an interest inquiry form on their website. My son's bday party is ninja themed and I requested a ninja character. It had the date of my son's party, the time we would need the performers for, the location, the amount of kids, etcetera. It was very thorough. I got a reply (within 24 hrs) and a response stating: Thanks for your inquiry! I would love to send you a wonderfully costumed and talented Ninja entertainer for your son's 6th birthday! We have two female entertainers who have ninja costumes and can also do a magic show, face painting, balloon twisting, and tattoos. Do you have any specific activities you would like us to do? Our most popular package is the 90min TRIO PACKAGE and it includes a Magic Show (15-30 min depending on who is doing it) and then both face painting and balloon twisting. This package is $200 for 90min + $15 travel fee (which includes travel to and from San Ramon). It would be $165 (including travel) for a 60min package. We don't charge per activity, so you can choose which activities you want. Feel free to visit our website at www.magikidz.com for additional options. I felt like what she was offering initially was what was available. I needed a ninja for this party so an alternative was not going to work. I emailed her back and let her know that wouldn't be an option. She then replied: Sorry about that. I wait till I get a reply that is clearly leaning towards a booking before I check the calendar/availability of the artists. Best of luck! I emailed her and let her know I think making sure the performers are available FIRST would be of priority. I don't know if this business will change their booking process but just know it is really strange and backwards! I hired Magikidz because I had been so impressed with their Spiderman at a party my friend threw for her son. I booked the Wonderwoman character and it was SO SO GOOD!. Wonder woman was super upbeat, great and patient with the 20 kids we had. She did great face painting and was super fast so we could move the kids along. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE booking this business for my 6 year old nephews birthday party!! I RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO NOT USE THEM!!! Nobody showed up !! Nobody bothered to show up or even cancel!! I even called several times to this business 15 min after nobody was showing up even left a couple voicemails and did not hear from them !! I completely regret booking this business for my party. For our son's 3rd birthday in San Francisco we wanted go go with a "safari" theme. So we reached out to MagiKidz (we found them over a site called Gig Salad), and Sophia contacted me right back within a couple of hours with her availability, some questions about the event, and prices for face painting and balloon animals. I really appreciated how straightforward the interaction was. And when we had to change the time for the party by a couple of hours, she was extremely responsive and accommodating. On the day of the party, she arrived early and got set up with minimal help as we were running around tidying the house and putting out platters. She brought some music even which was really nice, as we almost had a sound system malfunction prior to the event. And she dressed up in a Safari theme, which was really cool too! During the party, she asked the kids what animals they wanted to be and was super quick with really amazing face painting designs. I loved mine and will post a picture if I can located it. Wonder-woman was Wonder-ful! Is there something that could have been improved upon? Well, I think it would have been nice to give the kids a book of ideas to choose from. However, I'm not the expert here, maybe it's not a good idea because it would take the kids too long to choose from the idea book. I also noticed each child had a unique idea except for 2 that were siblings. Then, Naomi made them different colors. Maybe it's best to let the kids use their imagination. Anything that you particularly appreciated? One of the parents in the party wanted to paint his face to look like his's daughter's favorite stuffed animal. He was told it was OK as long as all the kids were done. I noticed after the party, the parent did not have his face painted. He said Naomi told him that the baby would probably be afraid of him instead of finding it fun or cute. We didn't think of that and he was happy he didn't go through with it. Thank you! read more

I hired Magikidz to provide a face painter/balloon twister for a company party last weekend. They sent Miss Renae and she was AMAZING! She showed up early to be ready as soon as the kids arrived. Her fairy costume was super cute and she was super friendly with the kids and super fast to keep the line of kids moving. The face painting was spectacular and she also did a great job painting the hands of the younger kids who didn't want their face painted. We just had our entertainer RoRo for our son's birthday. He was not entertaining at all. He didn't tried to get the kids attentions. Spiderman was possibly the best entertainment we've ever had for our children!!! Spidey (aka Andrew) was amazing, hysterical and a perfect clone from Spiderman movies. We had Nikki come to do a magic show, face painting and balloons. I wanted her dressed like a clown. I have not seen a poorly painted clown. She was 1/2 hour late. Some kids didn't get their face painted like they wanted. The magic show was not very entertaining for kids nor adults like I was told over the phone. I don't know if it was the business or the entertainer that I got assigned to. But I will never use this business to entertain a birthday party ever again. read more
