Bad experience. Constant follow-ups (emails/calls) were needed to avoid a no-show. Thank god, it started only 40 minutes late. Different from what the website says, the staff did not interact with the kids or demonstrate how to play with the bubbles at all, just stood by watching. That was a second time I hired this company so I can compare to the event in 2017, when they came to us. I had many people in my house for a party, so I wanted someone to entertain kids. I needed someone active and playful. The lady that arrived had some health problems so I had to ask my guests to carry her buckets. She did not know where and how to park. She decided not do the show part and just poured the liquid in the big basins in the backyard for kids to play. There was a slight wind so we had problems with blowing bubbles. Some kids were too little to do babbles themselves but they would watch the show. I could have done it myself. All you need just to purchase a liquid and put it in basins for the kids to play. read more

I booked bubblemania for my daughter's 8th birthday party this last weekend. The bubble show was a huge hit with all the kids and parents. Chelsea, our bubblologist was absolutely amazing! She had great energy and managed to keep 20 kids entertained for a 45 minute indoor show and a half hour free play outside. We chose the party program and that was perfect for our home. Minimal mess. I wasn't sure what to expect, but knew I must have a bubble show for my daughter's 2nd birthday party. We did the indoor only show since the venue we held the party at didn't have an outdoor space. Communication them Bubblemania was fast and easy, we mainly communicated through email and all questions were promptly answered. Near the day of the event, the bubble lady called me over the phone to coordinate the arrival logistics. Prior to the event, the venue owner wondered how the bubble solutions would be disposed since there would be a small kiddy pool of it, but gladly to know that Bubblemania dispose the solution back in their containers. So from set up to clean up, the bubble lady took care of everything which is awesome for a mom who had to run around attending to guests, set up the party, and tend to the birthday cake! The group of kids we had were all around 2-3 years old with the exception I had my 7 year old niece there. Being the oldest one there, I can see the bubble lady tried to tend to her a little bit more, asking bubble questions that she could answer just so she's not only focusing on the younger ones. One thing that I wish could change is their hard rule of no popping bubble. I did have a group of toddlers, asking toddlers not to pop bubbles is like asking me not to eat that tasty slice of cake. I was hoping for more of an interactive show, but to my surprise, the toddlers did show a lot of self control and stayed in their seats to enjoy the performance. I was more entertained at watching the kids and their reactions than the show itself. It seems like they all enjoyed it. The highlight of course is being in the big bubble (I wish I could have been in one myself!). I was looking for a bubble show for a preschool and found this company on yelp with great review. I called Aiden. He gave me a quote and I agreed on that and booked a time with them. Three days before the show another person sent me the invoice with a different quote. I was surprised but since they explained that they added "mileage fee" to that, I understood and agreed to pay extra. On the show day, all the parents arrived on time, only not the show person. 25 minutes later a lady showed up claiming that she went to the wrong address--which was understandable because she said she lived far. But the most disappointing part was that she behaved like it was the first time that she ever performed a bubble show. It took her at least 20 minutes to get the liquid into a big basin. After that she kept saying:"I am trying to show you a trick but it doesn't work, anyway let's try another". During the 40 minutes show, she kept trying but only did four types of bubbles successfully: making big bubbles out of a big wand, marking big bubble last out of a hula hoop, making bubbles out of a triangle-shaped wand, making bubbles out of a square-shapers wand. Since she couldn't make her tricks work, she had to call for kids to line up to make bubbles one by one. Well it's great to be engaging, but the whole bubble show looked like a toddler bubble lesson, which anyone could do with a big wand and a hula hoop. In addition, she was not very kids-friendly when there were kids around for too excited... We also booked a 20-minutes outdoor activity for the kids. Well, the only thing she provided for the kids was a big bucket of soup water and a few small bubble wands. And since she arrived late, she was in a rush to leave to somewhere else. While the kids were waiting next to the bucket, she was already collecting her stuff and got ready to go. Our preschool have invited quite a few show companies to do performance every year. And the parents all had great feedbacks and asked for business cards of them. This year all the feedback I heard was "it was ok". I have seen real bubble shows but let me tell you, this is not a real one. read more

Miko was AWESOME! Initially I was a little worried about the mess the "bubble show" was going to cause but actually it was not messy at all! They put a tarp down so everything was well managed and controlled! She kept the kids engaged the whole time and the parents could go in the back and enjoy talking to one another without worrying about the kids for a little while! Then the kids went outside and got a chance to make their own bubbles. The only thing is that some of the kids were too young for making their own bubbles but the ones that were old enough were so into it.. when it was time to say good bye we could not tear them away... so we had to distract them with cake and pinata! Worst party experience ever. We signed up for a bubble show and we got "bubble play." By bubble play it was a stoned teenager who showed up with two kid pools with bubbles and bubbles and some wands. I could have gone to the dollar store and done this for $50. He did not engage with the kids at all and was a horrible experience. Do not waste your money on this terrible service--- I will make sure to share our awful experience across the burlingame moms club. Beyond disappointed!!! *** update*** Very appreciative of the fact that Joseph, the owner contacted me about our negative experience, and was very empathetic and offered us 60% refund on our party. I have been to many other events of friends who have used bubblemania and it was a great experience. Bubbles were awesome! My kid saw this at a friend's party and I gave him his own show!! The bubble-ologist.. (Esperanza)? showed up and did a great job. She put all the kids in the bubble which was a great hit and Chuck (my son) got to go in with my wife! It was a great time had by all!! HORRIBLE!!! Save your money! I had to stalk the company yesterday because I never received the 48 hr confirmation for today's party. Received it yesterday evening. Casey was late to my daughter's party arriving ten minutes or more late. Then he still had to unload and set-up. There were no tricks or bubble show. Simply had three kiddie pools with bubble solution and wands for free play. Casey told me this is what is involved with the all outdoor and free play because of wind issues they don't do shows outdoors. 12:18pm set-up complete and kids start playing by 12:45pm they were done playing with the bubble wands and over it since they had to entertain themselves. That alone deserves a bump from 1 up to 5 stars! ---------------------- We hired Bubblemania for my son's 2nd birthday in the park a couple of months ago and although the kids had fun making bubbles with the wands and 3 kiddie pools, the young man that showed up was terrible, unpresentable, disengaged and literally just stood there the entire time not saying anything. The parents each including myself showed the kids how to use the wands instead of enjoying other aspects if the party. At one point since the birthday boy arrived to the party late due to a late nap, I introduced myself to the young man and let him know who the birthday boy was since he was trying to find a wand to play with. The young man looked at his watch and said we have 20 minutes left and did not assist my son so I ended up doing so. I missed most of the beginning of the party but my husband was highly disappointed with what we paid for this event that we could have put together ourselves. It seems based on reviews the bay area is hit or miss. Really hoping others have a better experience and/or they find better employees. We will likely not be using them again. read more

The bubblemania company people seems to be quite busy it takes some effort to arrange an event from them. couple of emails and phone calls are needed to arrange it as its hard to get hold of them. As far as the show is concerned,kids loved it and it was fun and exciting but the bubble lady we had is not that kid friendly. she showed serious frustration and got pissed off when kids were yelling and when they asked to repeat what she did.... i felt she isnt friendly to kids and dont have experience on how to handle them ...as such some parents got disappointed with her behavior read more

We were so looking forward to having Bubblemania at our son's birthday party. Unfortunately, Casey called me 20 minutes before the party start time to cancel because he was sick. We had no time to come up with an alternate game plan and this was the only activity we had planned for 30 kids at an indoor party on a rainy day. It was stressful and disappointing. I will say Joseph, the owner, was very apologetic and offered us a free show in the future, which I appreciated. We had the pleasure of having Bubble Mania visit my daughter's preschool yesterday. Our bubbleologist was engaging with the young children AND adults, infused science lessons and learning about shapes within the presentation and really just put on an enjoyable show. Wanted to hire something/someone different for my daughter's 1st bday than your typical face painter/storybook teller/fairy/jumphouse/balloon person kinda thing. Happened to stumble upon a blog, and they had a bubble person for their kids 1st bday party, and I thought to myself, "How cool is that!" Went in search for one here on Yelp, and came across Bubblemania. Was a bit skeptic at first because although this company had 5 stars, there wasn't many reviews, maybe 6 at the time. I said to myself,"What the hell, let's give this a try." So, I called the company, and within a 24 hour period, got a call back. They have people throughout the bay, and since I live in the East Bay, my bubbleologist, Michael, came from Oakland. He's freakin' awesome! He called a couple days before to confirm, was on time to the party, and had everyone's attention! We got the "Party Program" package where Michael set up several kiddie pools on our sidewalk, and the kids played with the bubbles before his part of the show. His part was very interactive, so he had the smaller kids sit right in front. At the end of the show, my daughter and I even got to be inside of a huge bubble! We got great pictures! People at the party were wondering what a bubbleologist was, and once the show got going, there were alot of "whoa's! oooooohhhhs!! ahhhs!!!"
