We ordered the salmon with asparagus and the seafood pasta and both were really good. The salmon and asparagus were perfectly cooked 5/5 and the seafood pasta was also very good 4/5 (just a tad dry but still very good). They have a nice selection of beer and wine and while we were there they had a margarita special and I must admit their margaritas were on point! 10/10 Margaritas! All I wanted was a bacon cheeseburger with fries. First I received a plain hamburger, then a plain cheeseburger. When I sent the plain cheeseburger back, my waitress Jessica gave me the nastiest look and even nastier attitude. When she went to the table next to me, I could hear her talk about how I was keeping her from checking on them. We love this place on Sundays! Took my two older kids on a Friday for the lunch buffet. The salad bar was great as always. The fried fish seemed old and dried out. The staff started getting rude at 2:20. Apparently they were about to close down the lunch buffet. (Had no clue). She asked after one plate if we were going back to the buffet and we said yes. She then said rudely "well now would be a good time because we're about to shut it down." Never was told there was a time limit when we ordered. Also the soft drinks were flat and gross. $61 after a tip for 3 ppl at lunch is ridiculous for mediocre food and a rude staff. read more

We loved this restaurant! Our family visited on a Saturday afternoon and was immediately seated. The food - well seasoned. Server was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The menu has something for everyone and dining room is very spacious with good parking. The salad bar is a nice bonus, with a diverse variety of toppings and salad dressings. First time here. Great option to take fam to on way to our Red Bluff hike 10 min away. Sunday morning Buffet had tons of dessert and salad options. Everyone was coming from church. Buffet menu rotates every day so it's not always same thing. . Good vegetarian hot bar options. $16 a decent price for adults considering options. Found this local gem by accident. Decided to hit the buffet and was not disappointed. Great selection of fried and roasted meats. Fried chicken was well breaded and perfectly seasoned. So was the fried catfish. Went well with the slaw and potato salad. Then I went back for the roast chicken and veggies. Reminded me of good home cooking. Ended with bread pudding smothered in banana pudding. Was so good. The place is all new and clean. Has a bar if you want a stiffer drink. Staff was pleasant and prompt on the drinks and refills as well as the table cleaning. Something you appreciate when the food is great and you keep going back for more. read more

Me and my family went to have dinner for our Mimi's birthday, the food was alright not the best we've had, the service was okay after we got sat we had to wait about 10minutes for someone to bring us menus, in my opinion it should be common sense to bring at least one menu to the table. Anyway when we were almost done eating my father in law brought the cake for us to sing happy birthday to our Mimi, the server walked up to the table and told us "I'm gonna have to bring that cake with me to the back because we don't allow outside cakes in here" Excuse me??? Seriously good food every time I visit, from the lunch buffets to the steaks and burgers. But the standout for me is their fabulous salad bar! It has all the old classic offerings that you don't see that often anymore plus newer, trendier offerings as well. Magnolia Grille was relatively the only restaurant in the area open on a Monday afternoon and I'm so glad that I went! I called in my order for their blackened redfish. Pick up was easy and efficient. The crawfish sauce on top of the fish truly made the meal even more enjoyable. I'm going to start by saying, this has always been my favorite restaurant to eat at while visiting the Columbia area, which is why my most recent experience was so disappointing. We went on a Saturday two weeks ago. We arrived at opening time and already had our order ready, so I managed to be the first and only person at the salad bar. As I went to dip out the eggs I saw a big hair! Needless to say I was grossed out, but it happens. I discreetly told our waitress and she sent someone out from the kitchen. All he said was "where is it", then proceeded to dip the hair out and leave the eggs. I had to tell him this was not acceptable. Ugh! As if this wasn't bad enough (no apology), I had requested a take out order to be ready at the end of my meal, only to be told towards the end of my meal that they had gotten busier and were short staffed, so I would have to wait longer. I agreed, but after twenty minutes or so (it was a club sandwich), I told her to cancel, I could not wait any longer, to which she told me she could not. I requested the manager. This was absolutely the rudest service employee I have ever met. After only acknowledging the hair incident because I brought it up, she proceeded to tell me (with attitude) that they don't typically cancel when they are busy and "short staffed", but she would "let me" this once. I told her if my food was ready I would be more than glad to pay for it, but she wouldn't have to worry about "letting me" again. This was my last visit. Please do better! It is not acceptable to speak to customers like the are children. This could have been handled so much better. read more

Food was bomb! I had settled on the magnolia chicken sandwich with French fries. I was afraid I was about to be disappointed by ordering a seemingly basic meal, but it has melted cheese, grilled peppers and onion on ciabatta bread. The chicken was cooked perfectly! And the fries were delicious. I can trust a restaurant with yummy fries! I was originally going to order the beef ribs. I was so excited because I NEVER see a restaurant carry BEEf ribs, but they actually don't care them anymore. I was so sad!!! Then I tried to switch the sides on two meals but I wasn't allowed. I wish they'd change that. But I was happy with the sandwich. My mom enjoyed her fish. It came with wild rice and toast and an additional side (she chose sweet potato fries).
