I had high hopes for Ray but will not be using him again. I provided him with notes regarding my…read morecat's care and resources. I set out all my plants that needed water on the main kitchen counter, along with a bottle to water them. I have smart devices and a few strategically placed indoor cameras (about which I made him aware), and when I was notified that the water level on the fountain was low I messaged him and asked him to refill it. He refilled it, but put it back on the stand and didn't even check to see if it was working. It wasn't. I was in a different country with a significant time change, so when I next checked my device notifications and camera I discovered my cat had no source of water. I contacted him immediately to make him aware of the issue, but as his visits were typically later in the day I reached out to a neighbor and asked them to go over and provide a bowl of water for my cat in the meantime. Thankfully she did, and she indicated my cat was very thirsty. Despite providing directions about the fountains and some additional prompting, Ray was unable to figure out how to work the fountain. I asked him to ensure that he left out a bowl of water for the cat, which he did. I have no idea if he actually saw the cat, or if he had any level of interaction with her on his visits. I didn't specifically ask him for this info or pictures prior to using him, but as all other cat sitters I had previously used did so without prompting, I (mistakenly) expected this. He also failed to water my plants and two of them died. This was minimal compared to leaving my cat without water, and not knowing whether or not he even saw her (other than one time he mentioned she came out to see him on one of his visits).

Under his care, my cat died…read more I'll never go into details about how my cat passed because no one should/needs to have that knowledge. However, it was due to Ray not physically getting his eyeballs on the cats every single day. Cats aren't house plants. You have to make sure they're not up to something. You don't just feed and water and leave. Especially when the cat mom leaves SEVEN PAGES of instructions on how they needed to be separated while they ate so that one could take his pill and if he didn't then you could use the pill popper provided to put it down his throat. But that's not what happened. I guess my notes were taken as suggestions. On the last day when the vet thinks he passed, I received a text from him saying: "Dear (me), Another uneventful visit. Your children are going to be so happy that you're back home. Left your FOB on the kitchen counter. - Ray." Nowhere in that text does it say I couldn't find them so I just left. I don't really know what else I can do at this point other than warn other pet owners. Yes, I know he didn't mean to have this happen but it did. And I think when it comes to your pets life so you shouldn't take any risks. This shouldn't have to happen to any other pet owner out there. I'm notifying all the organizations that he lists on his website too. He did refund fully and returned my key. He was also an incredibly nice person. That aside, nothing will bring my cat back but I pray this doesn't happen with anyone else.

Taille is our second Siamese cat from Louis. He somehow accomplished what we never ,thought…read morepossible. We never imagined we could love another cat as deeply as we loved our first. We were wrong. Our hearts simply grew larger. At only six months old, Taille has already woven himself into the fabric of our family. He is brilliant, endlessly curious, playful, affectionate, and always eager to be wherever we are. He doesn't simply live in our home--he belongs in our lives. It's impossible now to imagine our life without him. Louis has an extraordinary gift. He doesn't just breed beautiful cats; he nurtures companions with remarkable intelligence, confidence, and loving temperaments. It is obvious that his kittens are raised with knowledge, dedication, and love. I think all of us hope that whatever we choose to do in life leaves the world a little brighter than we found it. I wonder if Louis truly knows how many lives he has touched, or how many homes he has filled with laughter, comfort, and unconditional love. I can't think of a more important legacy.

It was clear that he spent time with them and cared about placing them in suitable homes. He also stayed interested in how the cats were doing after adoption and appreciated updates. A major factor in my decision to work with Louis was his focus on breeding healthy cats. He makes an effort to maintain genetic diversity by importing breeding cats from different regions rather than relying on closely related lines. This was important to me because long-term health was a higher priority than achieving a particular show or competition look for me. After adopting my 2 retired queens from Louis. I have considered other options when I decided I wanted another kitten. I looked at shelters and private listings, but ultimately returned to Louis because I felt more comfortable with his breeding program and his emphasis on health. Finding a kitten with a strong genetic background and a stable start in life was important to me. The kitten I adopted has been healthy, confident, and has an excellent temperament. He's affectionate, energetic, and very attached to me. He also integrated well with my other cats, and they have become the bestest siblings. I also appreciated that Louis exposed his kittens to a variety of foods early in life. I feed my cats a raw diet, transitioning my older cat from dry food to raw was a much more difficult process. In contrast, my kitten adapted to a raw diet immediately after coming home and had no issues with the transition. I would recommend Louis to anyone looking for a breeder who places importance on the health and well-being of his cats.

And a rabbit can be a real challenge. She did a wonderful job with all three. The only problem you will have with Emily's work is too many great shots to choose from! As soon as we got there and got out of the car with out 6 year old, someone opened the front door…read moreand 2 110 pound rottweilers ran out to greet us with no owner in site. They immediately came up to us and although were good natured we were really surprised that an owner would allow two unsupervised dogs to greet people on their property without any heads up. What if my son freaked out and ran from them, what would they do? What if one of us did something they did not like and thought we were challenging them? The owner, Craig, showed up 2 minutes later to meet us and started talking about his dogs and his breeding habits. Everything sounded great and we were getting along but his two dogs started getting a little over excited with our 6 year old and wouldn't stop herding him which is fine and totally normal. But when he called them to stop doing what they were doing, the dogs didn't obey him. After several calls for them to stop and them not complying, he went up and hit them on the head hard and yelled at them. They immediately recoiled and went away. As you can imagine, I was in utter shock... We continued chatting and went on a walk around the grounds. His two original dogs were still with us and walked with us on the tour. When they started getting a little excited again around my son, he ordered them to stop but they didn't. So he yelled several times and when they wouldn't again, he slapped them on the head again hard. At this time, I looked at my wife and she looked at me and we knew that we would never buy a dog from this breeder. At this point, we decided to wrap up our tour short and started heading back to the car. He called his two dogs over to him at one point and they both refused and shied away, walking away with their heads down. He just yelled at them to go and continued as if everything was normal. We were utterly disgusted at the treatment that he demonstrated in 30 minutes. He yelled multiple times, slapped twice, and hit them each in the head once while we were there. No wonder they didn't want to obey him, they are terrified of him! He showed us what kind of breeder he is in those 30 minutes that we decided that we would never buy a puppy from him to continue bankrolling this kind of abuse. It was absolutely unacceptable and cannot believe he is allowed to breed dogs. He says all the right things and works on getting the correct genetic test done which he prides himself on but his treatment of his dogs is totally unacceptable.

I've been sending my boy Ziggy on park trip adventures with the Pirate Dogs for a few years now and…read morethere's no one I would trust more to show him a fun and safe time. He's a shy rescue but Madeline is incredibly patient and intuitive, and knows exactly how to bring out the best in every dog. Ziggy always comes home happy and tired. The highest compliment I can pay her is that, somewhere along the way, she became my dog's favorite human and he doesn't want to leave her car when she drops him off.
