They specialize in patients who have dental anxiety, and offer various sedation options for cleanings and dental work. I loved the fact that their priority is making their patients feel comfortable and relaxed, so that their dental experience is a good one! Dr. Paterson and her entire staff at the Buford office are so incredibly sweet and kind. They made me feel comfortable. I was able to use nitrous gas for my cleaning and dental work, and along with Dr Paterson and her staff, I had the best dental experience I've ever had! The constant staff turnover should have been my first clue. Appointments are routinely changed, communication is disorganized, and no one seems to know what anyone else is doing. One appointment that I believed was a routine cleaning somehow turned into a 2 1/2-hour ordeal with no advance explanation. On another occasion, I was prescribed medication that should have been started before my procedure, but the prescription wasn't called in until the last minute. The event that finally destroyed my confidence happened when I went in to have a chipped tooth repaired. Instead of fixing the damaged tooth, they worked on the one next to it and ended up cracking the base of the original chipped tooth. When the anesthetic wore off, the pain became so severe that I ended up in the emergency room. The result was thousands of dollars in additional treatment that never should have happened. The administrative side has been just as bad. They billed me directly for services but never submitted the claim to my insurance, leaving me to sort out a mess that should have been handled by their office. After waiting six weeks for permanent crowns, I took time off work for the installation appointment. While I was driving there, the office called to say they had an emergency patient and couldn't see me. They sent me to another office later that afternoon, requiring me to take even more time off work. When I arrived, the COO apologized and informed me there had been no emergency at all. The dentist at the original office had simply decided not to complete my appointment. Being told one thing by the scheduling staff and something entirely different by management was the final straw. I canceled every remaining appointment that day. The irony? Months later, the same office that mishandled my care, my insurance, and my time called to remind me about a cleaning appointment they apparently forgot I had already canceled. Everyone understands that emergencies happen. Mistakes can happen too. What is much harder to accept is repeated poor communication, questionable scheduling practices, billing errors, and a pattern of wasting patients' time while expecting them to simply accept it. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone looking for reliable, organized, or trustworthy dental care. A 1 star review is generous and I'm unable to submit the review without a star.

Dr. Choi is actually amazing, but the front office will make sure that I never get in to see him. MONTHS! I've spent SEVERAL MONTHS getting rescheduled for my cleaning. The last attempt was over two months ago via an automated system, and today was the soonest they could see me. Mere minutes before my appointment, and, yep, you guessed it, they call me to reschedule AGAIN! This time, it's over a note they need from my Dr. because of a medical event that I had six months ago. During the many months of rescheduling, they HAD THIS INFORMATION, but only decided to act on it ten minutes before my appointment, while I'm sitting in traffic, having taken yet another partial day off of work! They recommended I get my teeth cleaned four times a year, but they won't actually see me that often. I'm three cleanings past due. Again, my dentist is awesome. I really like him. I went to this office at or about December 2024 with persistent pain in an upper left tooth and specifically raised concern that I believed it might be cracked. I was told it was only inflammation from clenching and pressure from a missing tooth. Based on that diagnosis, I was two expensive devices - a custom-made night guard and a flexible partial denture and told this would resolve the problem over time. For months I followed all instructions exactly as given. The pain never fully resolved. The partial was not made correct, there was a large gap between the device and roof of my mouth; it never fit properly and caused food impaction, speech problems, and embarrassment from shifting and drooling. I repeatedly reported these issues and was told it only needed to "break in." When I later requested X-rays to take to a specialist because the pain continued, I was informed my dental membership plan had been canceled without my knowledge or consent. I was then denied access to my imaging and refused pain treatment. At that same visit, to replace the defective partial, I was pressured to switch to a cheaper metal partial even though Dr. Jeoung talked me into buying the more expensive plastic partial because it was, "better". I ultimately went to another dentist who found a severe vertical crack through the root of the tooth. The tooth was not salvageable and had to be extracted. I was told it could have been saved if treated earlier. After this, the Dr. Jeoung acknowledged in writing that "things did not go as planned" and offered to reimburse me, but only if I signed a full legal release. As of this writing, I have not been able to use either expensive device.

They will be upfront and honest with you. But also making sure that you feel comfortable during the entire process.
