If you are looking for a regular dentist office for basic service, like a cleaning, this Dacula practice isn't it. The Good: The end result of the cleaning service is very good, but not the best. The Bad & The Ugly: After a cleaning service, a dentist typically comes in and evaluates or inspects the teeth. At least, this has always been my experience elsewhere. At this place, the dentist marches in with dollar signs in his eyes as though you walked in with 15 missing teeth, an overbite, and a misaligned jaw. It is clear that the objective is not to give you a clean bill of good oral health, rather, it is to tell you a host of services that you "need" that they are all to happy to go ahead and jot down in your file and get you set up with an appointment ASAP! I have a reasonable tolerance for nonsense, having dealt with the public in my career, so while the salesman, er, dentist was rattling off procedures, I just said "Hmm, hmmm." After he left the room, I was more than ready to go. But wait! The hygienist asked me to wait a moment while she left the room. That "moment" turned into what felt like 15 minutes of nothing, so my patience did expire, and I made it clear that I needed to go and asked WHAT IS THE WAIT FOR? That's when she owned up and said that they were pricing out all of the procedures and were creating a price list. Why the secrecy? Why couldn't the wait request have included an advisement that they were working on that? I'll tell you why, it's because they knew that there was NO way in you-know-where that I was going for that schtick! I had been here twice, and BOTH times, it was the same song and dance. Continue to wait? Nope! I left! Things may have been different if I have said, "hey Doc, I don't like xyz about my teeth, can you make a recommdation?" But, to just get a cleaning and having an it-ain't-broke-but-we-can-fix-it experience is beyond the pale for a medical facility! That's just like going to the service department at a car dealership. You go in for a simple oil change, but they come back to you with a price list for an urgent engine replacement and a new radiator. Smarmy, grimy, slimy to say the LEAST! If this practice is hard up for cash, how about getting out in these streets and offering services to those who actually need them? I see jacked-up mouths literally everywhere I go. Literally. Stop trying to make money by the hard upselling. They will see me again on the 12th of NEVER! I do NOT recommend for standard dental care services! read more

Please look out for bills after service. I recently had a dental cleaning. The cleaning was good, planning to go back, but I am disappointed that they assured me I would pay cash, my insurance does not cover. I paid everything before the service, only to receive a balance saying that my insurance did not cover it. what again, after I paid, I read reviews about bills, but I did not know it would happen to me. read more

Unethical Billing Practices - Beware Hidden Warranty billed as D6520 - Specialty Fee I really wanted to love this place. They use modern imaging, the staff was super friendly, the exam felt very thorough, and everything even started on time! At the end of my exam, I needed four crowns ($1,129 per crown before insurance). After my exam, I was moved to a different office, which felt like being at a car dealership. While reviewing the estimate they provided, I noticed a code labeled HOME. When I asked about it, they said it was for an electric toothbrush. Since I already have one, I asked them to remove it from the estimate. I continued to review the estimate for other unusual codes, and I saw D6520 - Specialty Fee. I specifically asked them if I needed this charge, and they said it was part of the crown charge and could not be removed. Once I got home, I looked up each code on my estimate. I found it interesting that they used a code called D6520 - Specialty Fee. When I looked up the code, it was listed as "D6520 Inlay - metallic - two surfaces - Limited to 1 every 60 months." This didn't sound like a crown, and I wasn't getting anything metallic in my mouth. I called the office back to ask them to explain why I was seeing this cost on my estimate. The new person I spoke with told me, "Oh, that's just the warranty for your crown. It's optional." They wanted to charge me $150 per crown for the warranty, totaling $600, and tried to hide it with a legitimate-looking dental code. They could have easily used a more transparent code like WRNTY or something similar to make it stand out, like HOME. They also charge $170 per crown for core buildup, which insurance won't cover and many other offices don't even charge. I have since received two additional exams from other providers, and each provider said one crown was needed for sure, one was a maybe, and two others were definitely not needed. So now I even feel let down by the exam. As much as I wanted to be here and make this my new home for all my work, I will be driving by this building every day, disheartened that this was my experience. read more

I was so impressed by this dentist. I hadn't seen a dentist in 2 years and I have massive anxiety with doctors. The last time I saw one I was told I had cavities and gum disease. My hygienist was Tiffany and was was great. She talked to me to help with the anxiety, explained everything, and was thorough. The cleaning was really gentle despite the amount of tartar. My gums are much less sore than previous cleanings. They were not nagging like some dentists and generally very nice. Turned out, I didn't need all the extra work, the others were trying to rip me off. My teeth look and feel better and it was a very positive experience read more

I never had a discussion with the dentist on what the x-rays showed needed to be done. Never saw the x-rays. I was really just going for a regular dental checkup. I had no problems with pain or anything I had trusted this place before, then the dentist I saw left and the whole company changed. The paperwork showing what teeth were having crowns, etc. that were printed when I paid with Care Credit were faded and I could not make out what was done. Sometimes the work ran late, so no one was left at the front desk. I had no consultation on the cost. Then they said the dentist decided I needed a bridge. Also, a root canal, multiple crowns. They did not take my insurance any longer, however the first routine checkup & x-rays were covered before my husband retired. After that, nothing was covered with insurance. I spent almost $10,000. It was a nightmare. The dental assistant was supposed to show me how to floss under the bridge. I did not understand at all and she just said I would get the hang of it. Then she also made the remark "don't eat candy". I take good care of my teeth and I shy away from anything with sugar in it. The only thing I could think of is that I have dry mouth from medications I take. One day, I was at the office having dental work most of the day, in so much pain, I just wanted to go home. Had several appointments to fix backlog of tooth issues. Everyone from front desk to Doc is friendly. They get to know you and the overall feeling is warm there, not easy to do at a dental office. Doc was aces on my son's first ever dental appointment. Doc is neither too hurried or too slow. Quality work. read more

The staff here is very nice and super friendly BUT this facility is composed of manipulative liars. I was sold a whitening product and used it being insured by the main doctor and the side nurse that it wouldn't mess the appearance of my teeth up. They lied. It did. My teeth are now splotchy and i went in and the side dentist lady AND Dr. Galloway said that I misunderstood them and basically i was lying because anything like this would in fact mess my teeth up. He said if i didn't want to have his splotchiness, then quit bleaching my teeth, said "ok", and walked out leaving me to sit there. The side nurse heard all of this, walked me to the front unbothered, and told me to have a good day. So in summary, this organization is full of manipulative, lying scammers just there to take your money and it's all ran by the biggest dick of a dentist in dacula who doesn't care about his customers. I don't recommend coming here unless you need a general cleaning or something, but then again, you can get that anywhere else with a staff who actually cares about their customers. read more
