Today was my first time visiting the Mall of Georgia Dentistry office. And I'm almost a little hesitant about writing this review because I selfishly don't want more people to find my new forever dentist's office, haha, but they certainly deserve a positive review for the great experience they provided me today. Let me begin with the staff that worked with me today. Ashley (Dental Assistant), Dr. Whyte (Dentist), and Abby (Dental Hygienist) was the best dental team I've ever had the pleasure of being a patient of in my 30+ years of being alive on this planet. The only thing that can surpass their dental care is their wonderful, kind, and fun personalities. From the moment I got into their office, I felt that I was a priority for them. Ashley guided me to my chair, asked me about my dental history, laughed about different things, etc. Then Dr. Whyte came to review my teeth and raved about my fabulously maintained teeth and gums (I'll explain why this is important in a bit), and she provided knowledge about dental care that I wasn't aware of already. Then to complete the service, Abby cleaned my teeth ever so gently while providing great conversation. Both Dr. Whyte and Abby recommended that I don't change anything about my dental routine at home because my dental health was one the best they've seen. They scheduled my next appointment and gave me a goodies bag to take home. Now let me tell you about why this experience was something I had to write about. I just recently moved to the Mall of Georgia area. I was coming from another dentistry practice that I could've continued to use because they have another office nearby my new home. However, the experience I had there the last few times I visited was SO unpleasant that I had to find a new dentist. First, I mentioned that my teeth were confirmed to be healthy and I knew this was the case because I religiously take care of them. But at the previous dentist, they told me that my teeth were in such poor health that I needed to visit the dentist four times a year versus just the two. I knew something was off about this and later found out from other reviews left online that this practice told others the same thing to make more money. Second, the last time I visited this other dental office, the hygenist was SO bad at her job that my gums were bleeding and my entire mouth ached. She replaced a previous hygenist, who was the only positive thing about that practice. She left the organization probably because of their shady practices. Anyway, this isn't about the previous dental office, but I felt I had to mention them to portray the 180-degree difference in care that the Mall of Georgia Dentistry provided me today. So in conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Mall of Georgia Dentistry. I almost wish I needed to visit them four times a year versus just the two because I had such a good time.

They will be upfront and honest with you. But also making sure that you feel comfortable during the entire process. They will always offer you a water or coffee when you walk in. & offer you a donut when you walk out. Dr Vancil is the reason why I have no issue going to a dentist appointment anymore. I like it so much my first time I decide to make an appointment for my daughter. Today was her appointment. She saw doctor Toub. He was good too. He asked if I had any concerns or questions that needed to be addressed. The person that interacted with my daughter the most was Tunisia. She was great! She made my 4 year old daughter secure. She explain everything to her in a way she could understand. She was knowledgeable on the questions I asked her. Going forward I will always request her as the assistant. I would have multiple cavities or need this or that. One of the fillings was on top of the tooth and stuck out, creating a pocket for food to sit. Anyway, my husband finally said why don't you try somewhere else after they said I had another cavity. I didn't get it filled and found a new dentist. Well, I've seen the new dentist two times and have had absolutely no work needed. Take that as you will. I have two stars because the front desk was efficient.

My experience with Dr. Vinh and his staff was excellent…read more They worked me in as a new patient on the same day(!) to examine a tooth that was having severe pain from a filling two months prior. Dr. Vinh examined the tooth, took x-rays as well as actual images of the filling and found that the filling was on an area where the body was rejecting it due to it being outside of the biological width of the area. He explained what was happening by showing a quick video as well as diagrams. He reccomended an extraction, after discussing and explaining other non-invasive alternatives, and offered to perform it at that moment. I decided to proceed with the extraction. They provided instructions for care and Dr. Vinh personally called me in the afternoon to check on my recovery. Aetna Insurance (PPO) covered most of the procedure, and the out of pocket expense was literally 1/10th of what I would have been subjected to at my previous dentist. I am grateful to not be in pain, and would reccomend Sequoia Smiles and Dr. Vinh as a primary dentist.

This is my first review ever for Yelp, Google, or anything else. To give you a small understanding…read more- I'm the guy who 99% of the time doesn't like complaining and refrains from making any sort of scene in public. I try to be an understanding person when a service/food experience is just horrible to try not to get anyone fired. Somehow when I leave I'm able to look at the positives and I walk away just not going back to that location again. I'm going to change that today as I am now fed up completely. I initially called this dentistry on the recommendation of a friend. I called for Dr. Noorani and apparently he was booked for almost two months. I have a root canal that needs to be done and so I was obviously in tons of pain. They tried to have me go with another dentist at the office. Due to my horrible experience with bad dentists I did not want to take a chance and I told them to just give me Noorani's next available appointment. I waited just to get a call the day before that my appointment is cancelled. The office KNEW i was in pain and that I waited for this dentist yet I get a call almost two months later with them trying to throw the same dentist that I initially declined. I was extremely upset as I was in tons of pain but I gave it another chance (people make mistakes right?). The front desk lady said she would book me for a consultation appointment (with a different dentist a week and a half later) to just view it so they can prescribe me medication for pain control/antibiotics and then the Monday afterwards would give me my appointment with Noorani in the morning. The first Monday comes around for my consultation and I was still out of town for work, I call to let them know and ask them if they can just do the consultation on the same day (Noorani appointment) and ill get through the pain till then. She then tells me I never booked your appointment for next Monday. When I asked why she said "I wasn't sure if you wanted it". So you booked me for the consultation on Monday but didn't book the main appointment that I have been waiting for over 2 months (close to three now) with the busiest dentist in the world?! She then tells me my first appointment wasn't a consultation and Dr. Noorani was going to start the procedure... I had never been more confused in my life. I was completely silent over the phone and then she gives the final blow by saying that Dr. Noorani has also said he will only do the root canal if I let him also do the crown!!!?? This was something we spoke about the first day I called and they specifically knew I was going to another dentist for my crown and he is a dentist that doesn't have an issue with it. BUT ALL OF A SUDDEN he wants to do my crown which is very expensive almost $1000 over my primary dentist. By far my worst experience ever from a medical professional. You would hope that people in this field care about your medical needs and at-least stay true to their word. Calling a patient 2 months later the day before an appointment to cancel and making sudden ultimatums is completely unethical and to be frank upsetting. Man, I feel a little better now. Dr. Choi is actually amazing, but the front office will make sure that I never get in to see him. MONTHS! I've spent SEVERAL MONTHS getting rescheduled for my cleaning. The last attempt was over two months ago via an automated system, and today was the soonest they could see me. Mere minutes before my appointment, and, yep, you guessed it, they call me to reschedule AGAIN! This time, it's over a note they need from my Dr. because of a medical event that I had six months ago. During the many months of rescheduling, they HAD THIS INFORMATION, but only decided to act on it ten minutes before my appointment, while I'm sitting in traffic, having taken yet another partial day off of work! They recommended I get my teeth cleaned four times a year, but they won't actually see me that often. I'm three cleanings past due. Again, my dentist is awesome. I really like him. I guess I'll never get to see him again, though? Does anyone have a suggestion for a good dentist that actually wants my business?

I went to this office at or about December 2024 with persistent pain in an upper left tooth and specifically raised concern that I believed it might be cracked. I was told it was only inflammation from clenching and pressure from a missing tooth. Based on that diagnosis, I was two expensive devices - a custom-made night guard and a flexible partial denture and told this would resolve the problem over time. For months I followed all instructions exactly as given. The pain never fully resolved. The partial was not made correct, there was a large gap between the device and roof of my mouth; it never fit properly and caused food impaction, speech problems, and embarrassment from shifting and drooling. I repeatedly reported these issues and was told it only needed to "break in." When I later requested X-rays to take to a specialist because the pain continued, I was informed my dental membership plan had been canceled without my knowledge or consent. I was then denied access to my imaging and refused pain treatment. At that same visit, to replace the defective partial, I was pressured to switch to a cheaper metal partial even though Dr. Jeoung talked me into buying the more expensive plastic partial because it was, "better". I ultimately went to another dentist who found a severe vertical crack through the root of the tooth. The tooth was not salvageable and had to be extracted. I was told it could have been saved if treated earlier. After this, the Dr. Jeoung acknowledged in writing that "things did not go as planned" and offered to reimburse me, but only if I signed a full legal release. As of this writing, I have not been able to use either expensive device.
