I have pool league there on Tuesdays, great place! Big space and staff is super friendly. Amber the bartender is super nice and funny and Alaina is a great manager, very accommodating. Unfortunately I was offered an unacceptable amount of money to leave at midnight tonight and it was implied that the owner, and the event manager, Ben, never heard of me and that I wasn't scheduled to host tonight (I only share events created by the bar which show the days and times I am scheduled to be there.) Absolutely disgraceful treatment to a contractor that has been nothing but professional, polite, and direct. As an educator and a small business owner I fault myself for overlooking red flags thrown up by current & former employers, former patrons, and regulars of my shows. The change this place has went through in such a short timespan is incredible. Aside from being a premier music venue, the wings are the best in the 60638 area code and the staff is as friendly as they are welcoming. Service was phenomenal, staff was very attentive in helping with problems with machines (air hockey). Went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great and drinks were great as well. I'll give it 2 stars because the bartender was nice about everything and cuter than a Care Bear, but the service here is slow as fuuuuuuuuu......u get it. Taco Tuesday, came in for bingo and it was deader than Chris Farley. So u would think tacos would be quick since it's the especial, right. Nope. 45 mins later and they still aren't here. So they finally come....see pic attached. Not only are they smaller than Bucky Larsons peeper, but they're cold as eskimo ass. This isnt even a troll, folks. This is real life. Giving it a 3 because past times I've been never had an issue. I come here regularly I like the spot but today got kinda bummed. I ordered a Guinness beer and unfortunately none in stock(no biggie) I didn't know what to order I was browsing the beers then the bartender suggests I try the 312 she said its similar to Guiness. I trusted my tender I mean I even asked its a dark and said yes. Guess what it was nothing similar to a Guiness beer which I was craving! I pours a little bit in glass and after seeing color I immediately asked her to plz switch it. She said its open no returns no exchanges. No problem I went ahead and ordered another. I've been coming here for a while now. There's this old lady, Debbie as a bartender, sucks. She gives you the wrong order. Puts things on your tab that you didn't order and gives food that you ordered to other people. The bartenders that worked there before were better. They sure need to get rid of this one. read more

Walked in on a Thursday going into Friday night, to be precise around, 12:30 AM or so. Crowd was small which I LOVED. Very nice new place, parking is SOUTH of the business itself. When going SOUTH on 65th, you might quickly think that there's NO WAY in hell a bar is nestled along this deserted strip that lacks any liveliness, all you're surrounded by are factories of sorts maybe? Seemed a little eerie at first, I know I was in for a little shocker. Please proceed SOUTH along 65th & Menard and do not be afraid as you WILL in fact find this pretty sweet new bar/lounge. Anyway! Do not eat here! Save yourself the time and money and do not even come here for anything. Service is terrible. Loud weird and rap music, no mixture at all in music. Bar tender talked very soft and could not hear here. She just stood. There most the time not offering help if I needed a drink. Waitress and cook totally messed up our orders and it took way too long. Bread must have just come out of the freezer. Food was not warm except fries. Fries was the only good thing. Do not eat the burgers or cheese sticks. This place is bad. Stay away. Bathrooms are not clean and gross. Order mild wings and they were not that great and very spicy. We were here about 3 hours. A lot of that time was spent trying to get food. Some of that time was spent playing pool and darts and waiting for the kitchen to open. The Kitchen did not open till after 7:30pm. Trying to pay and get out of here. Music is too loud and weird rap and crazy music. Not even sure what it would be called but it's bad. In the end the cheese sticks were taken off the bill for the inconvenience of them messing up that order. Still not coming back. I hope I don't get food poisoning tonight. I feel it might be a good possibility unfortunately. read more

This bar wasn't bad. More of a Sports bar type of vibe. I came in for the Wednesday special (.50¢ Miller draft and .50¢ wings). The wings were good but not all that warm (temperature wise). The fries were really good. The bar was jam packed and it was kind of lengthy to get a refill. But I get it, it's .50¢. The service was average. The beer was served out of a can, even though they said draft. The music was way too loud but overall it was an average experience. Oh and by the way, the bar is an industrial setting. I showed up before UFC and was later informed that they had rented the bar out to a private party, so I would have to leave before the UFC fight. Big enough space, although it was chilly. The limited interaction in the bar was very good. One of the specials they had one day was a bomb-ass bloody Mary that included a white castle slider. This is the best bar in the Chicago area, hands-down. The staff is super friendly and funny, they mix their drinks so well with JUST enough alcohol to get you tipsy (but not too tipsy haha). Not to mention the food is DELICIOUS AF, which is rare for a bar to have amazing drinks and food BUT MAGOO'S GETS THE JOB DONE. They have bingo nights which are always a good time, and plenty of slots for everyone (although i cant say i win much unfortunately). Only reason I enjoy Magoos is for the delicious wings. Had an incident with a back of house employee regarding the cup me and my significant other were poured our blue moon in. We don't enjoy the draft beers so we expect our drinks to be poured in a glass cup not the plastic ones that I believe aren't the same oz serving size. The employee had a very bad attitude (the one pictured in the below review with a pink sweater) when explaining why so we saw the owner and he gave us a explained reasonable answer. We left the bar after because I don't like to deal with people who can't communicate in a mannerly fashion especially when they are there to serve you and do their job. I do appreciate the owner talking to us about the problem. Will be back again but never to stay too long, just for my wings and a blue moon. read more

Came on a Wednesday night not realizing the special of the day was 50 cent wings so that was a nice surprise. Unfortunately they were so busy and short staffed, the kitchen was very behind and took a while to get our food. There was only one bartender and she was doing her best to keep up. If it wasn't for her we would have probably left sooner but we knew it wasn't her fault and she was doing her best. I can't remember her name but she says she works there every Wednesday's and Thursdays. She's awesome!!!! We came back on a Sunday for Bloody Marys and wasn't impressed at all. The Bloody Mary photos on Yelp wasn't what we were served and it taste like tomato juice. Very thin and barely any spice. There was literally 3 people at the bar and the bartender seemed like he didn't care to be there. We felt we could find a better spot with bartenders more personable so we left right away. read more

Walked in right after 10am and asked if they were open and the bartender said "No!" Look, I get it if you need a couple of extra minutes when setting up and we waited outside for about ten minutes. I have been seeing the signs on 65 street for a bit and I am walking distance from this place I arrived on a Friday evening with my BFF the parking is in the back there was a hand full of people over 60 , they had about 5 slots, bar looked small but I continued to go order by the bar even thou older crowd. Had my $20 on my hand waiting patiently for about 10 minutes and no one tried to help or asked if I needed a drink my whistle was dry. We casually walked out as this place maybe had a sign in front "whites only served" but did not see one we continued on hooped in the car and headed to 7-11 on Austin and 63 got a case a beer and went streaking to the quads after watchin ladies wrestle in K-y jelly. This place blows junks bigger than the ones I left in the alley after streaking!!! Don't waste your time or money. read more
