This was a refreshing stop for an ice cream treat following our Mexican dinner down the street…read more We'd seen this ice cream in Lake Worth and wondered if they had any locations in Broward. When I'd looked it up on my yelp app I saw they had this location in Pompano Beach, so I'd bookmarked it. No hours were listed on the app, but since they were down the street from where we were eating dinner, we figured we would stop by and worst case see when they were open. We had to drive around the block, but found the location easily. A big truck blocked the view of their entrance and their neon "open" sign. I asked later how late they were open on Fridays and was told 11 pm. We spoke English, but a bit of Spanish will help you. They have all sorts of Mexican desserts -- not just ice creams. They have frozen Paletas -- with and without cream -- on sticks. And you can get cups of ices (no cream) or ice creams in several different sizes. They have a ton of flavors. Unfortunately they didn't have the parcha/maracuja (passion fruit) flavor my husband was craving. It was on the list, but they were out of it. A number of the flavors are tropical and/or Latin. We wound up with two small cups -- I got coconut ice cream; he got a mix of strawberry and pistachio. Both came in cups with two small vanilla wafers stuck into the ice cream. So cute and good. The coconut ice cream had lots of real pieces of shredded coconut in it. The base was rich and creamy. You can tell it's home style. I didn't get a chance to try anything else, but will definitely come back and do so in the future. Some of the other customers were getting treats that included added fruit, syrups, etc. There wasn't a menu that we saw, so I had no idea what they were ordering. Some research is definitely in order on my part. This place is easy to miss speeding south down Dixie Highway, but is worth looking for...
