I was genuinely surprised by how high the costs have become, especially in relation to the overall experience. While some items still maintain their quality, others were quite disappointing. Unfortunately, the service also fell short. Despite standing at the counter ready to order, with three staff members present, I was not acknowledged for an extended period, which set a negative tone from the start. I ordered a few items, including my longtime favorite, the coxinha. However, it was unavailable with Catupiry cheese--surprising, given that this variation has traditionally been one of their most popular offerings. I also tried a calabresa sausage roll, which was flavorful and well-prepared. On the other hand, the mini carrot cake was undermined by an overly sweet and unappealing brigadeiro topping, and the sweet condensed milk bun was dry and lacked flavor. In total, the bill exceeded $29, which felt disproportionate considering the inconsistencies in quality and service. Not sure what happened but this used a great Brazilian bakery a few years back. Since I was visiting the area I decided to stop by this bakery and not go to my usual spot and what a disappointment. Everything we had was not fresh starting with the coffee it was taste was terrible tasted like water and it was not hot, the coxihina tasteless and too doughy, the misto quente the bread was burnt & the cheese was not melted, and the cake was not good. I will not be not be returning to this place and it's sad because it used to be good. read more

If you are a Brazilian soccer fan, this is your hangout. They've got an entire room with a snack bar dedicated to watching soccer matches, complete with all of the regalia of the representative clubs. You can get Brazilian pizzas and bar appetizers and all that good stuff. Sandwiches, etc, and of course multiple TVs so you can watch the games. The main part of the cafe is for serving regular customers, they have all sorts of Brazilian-style baked goods. Of course in addition to sweet bakery goods they have all the "Salgados" -- savory fried and baked items represented, such as the famous stuffed Coxinha (chicken croquettes), Pastel/Empanadas and Pao De Queijo (manioc cheese bread puffs) which are of the miniature type and must be hot in order to really appreciate them. They have to be reheated if you take them home, they don't taste very good cold. Coffee drinks here are of the regular Bustelo type, no iced lattes or anything fancy. You (or someone with you) absolutely must be able to speak Brazilian Portuguese to get good service here because nobody speaks decent English and even a command of Spanish won't really help you here. Authentic Brazilian bakery, great fresh breads, sandwiches, pastries, and fresh juices. They don't have steaks or anything heavy like that but they do have staple pastry musts like pan de bono, and several other latin favorites. I love their cheese bread breakfast sandwiches. I'm beginning to see that Brazilian padarias (bakeries) are more known for their "salgados" (salty/savory things) rather than for their sweets. And their salgados tend to be some variations of deep-friend croquettes. The coxinha (or deep-fried tear-drop shaped croquettes) with chicken with catupiry cream cheese ($1.80) was just okay as I felt they were under seasoned even though it was perfectly prepared. However, the risole de camarão (or deep-fried burrito-shaped croquettes) with shrimp ($1.70) was delectable and I would order this again. Great Brazilian food. The steak from the grill just melts in your mouth. The chef cuts the churrasco as you want it. The steak and yuca stew was perfect in spice and salt. It steak pieces just falls apart as you eat. The ambiance is not the best, they need to expand and make more room and better seats. The waiters were busy, but kind and worth a extra tip for all their hard work. The food description and pricing, its by weight, was not clearly labelled. Its probably not a issue for the regulars and brazilians, but for some one not familiar with place its was hard to get around. Bakery was ok, not the best. I was disappointed with their pao de queijo, this is the basics. I always tried the frozen kind and thought the fresh made one will taste better but they were salty and left a bitter after taste. If you ever want to get some authentic Brazilian breakfast come to this place because when you order from someone that has or understand little bit of English and mostly Portuguese you know is legit. I ordered breakfast for me and the lady that involved coffee juice smoothie empanadas sandwiches toast for $18 or less o and also a soda very small place Community Bakery that the local Brazilians go to to get there breakfast period is very small and has only a couple tables not more than I say 6 but it's a very chill environment where you can enjoy the breakfast and watch some Brazilian TV. Ordered a chocolate brigadeiro and a pudim de leite condensado both were very good! The brigadeiro was a good size with great taste not hard, perfect consistency. The pudim was thick, creamy and tasted delicious. Just the way a good Brazilian pudim should taste. Next time I am in town will try some of their other desserts. My reliable local pandaria. Everything is fresh daily and it's ran by a group of wonderful people. The aesthetics throw people off, but everything here is wonderful. It can be super busy on weekend mornings, especially Sundays. I love their coffee and everything in their hot case is excellent for a light snack!
