We had to go to bar to ask the bartender if they were serving food. He said, "Yessir." I asked, "Do we sit anywhere?". "Yes." We sit down but as I'm sitting, I didn't take my jacket off or my hat because I didn't feel as though anyone else was working there. Is the guy at the bar coming over? Are there any other servers working? We were already deciding if we should leave . It was just awkward. Just then the bartender comes to our side of the bar but doesn't actually come to the table. I go to the bar and he tells me that he's not even the regular bartender and he can't make complicated cocktails just beer and simple drinks. I ask for a menu and all they had was just late night pub finger food. Not what we were looking for. I gave the menu back to him and we left. Just a really awkward experience for a nearly completely empty bar/restaurant. Wish we'd have Yelped beforehand. Not good. Don't recommend. Doubt we'll try again.

It feels like a neighborhood place with regulars, and I get the sense soccer fans love it here. (Or as it's called football) The outdoor seating, though, is where it's at when the weather's nice. Plenty of tables, perfect for people watching or just enjoying the view down Park Ave or Oxford Street. They offer beer on tap, cocktails, and even branded t-shirts and sweatshirts. Food can be ordered from a spot down the street I think it's Vasko's, and the bartender was friendly and helpful. You can pay per drink or run a tab. It's a small place, but a great option to walk to, grab a drink, hang outside, and just chill. Street parking is available, but if you're nearby, walking over is probably the easier option. The security told me to have a great weekend at the end of the night. Those were the only people I talked to besides someone who bothered me, a customer who was just asking me why I was taking a picture of one of the signs. Then he said it was just a joke. At 4 AM I got a Facebook message from the owner who I've never talked to before, I don't know how he got my Facebook. He told me not to come back to O'Call's so I replied to him and asked him what the issue was because when I was there, I didn't have any issue. He never replied to me. So I called up and talked to someone who claimed to be a manager as well, the manager cursed me out and didn't give any reason. He said "you know exactly what I'm (censored) talking about. you don't talk. I talk be quiet. i'm not (censored) telling you (censored) . If you come in here again, you will have the biggest (censored) problem in your life." And hung up after that. I did not curse him at all. I was very polite. I just asked what this was about and he couldn't explain. I have never been banned from a bar in rochester anywhere ever before.

Last evening we stopped for dinner and a beer. We had an excellent British beer, Speckled Hen. We shared the Chicken Korma and Fish and chips (with the peas). The chips were very crisp and the fish was fresh. The curry was mildly spiced. We meet a couple from England. The man in the couple did an internship at the Old Toad years ago. They have an outdoor patio/deck area that is very well utilized during the summer times. From reading other reviews, it seems that there is a private back room as well. I've never seen it, but would be a great option as they have a large parking lot right in the area and the bive is very community-oriented.
