I haven't tried a lot of sushi places in Tulsa yet, but I would say Maguro is the top place in my book so far. The fish is fresh and tasty and thank goodness the tuna didn't look neon pink! They don't overstuff the rice like most places, which gives you the appearance that you're getting your moneys worth, but that messes up the fish to rice ratio and thus less quality taste. I was also happy to see that their rolls didn't have a ton of cream cheese on it like some other restaurants around here. In addition, the mimosa soup wasn't watered down and had substantial umami flavor. Overall, quite happy with the experience and the service was friendly and prompt.

This experience was amazing. Stopped by with a friend and we split the pork gyoza, tuna avocado salad and Tsunami roll... all were terrific. We LOVED the Tsunami roll. Shelby was such a great waitress as well!

Decided to try a different sushi place instead of hitting up the usual spots. We were pleasantly surprised by how great this spot was. The sashimi & nigiri here is to die for, the eel & mackerel specifically are so delicious & quite possibly the best I've had in Tulsa. We started with the salmon bite appetizer and it was a weird fusion dish but it worked and tasted so well, I wish I had a few more bites of it! Place is a bit nicer than your average sushi spot but I really appreciated that ambience & the staff was really polite. Give this place a try!

Craving sushi we decided to have lunch there. Charming Japanese themed decor, maybe a little dark. Had to use my phones flashlight to read the menu. They do have a lunch menu with some specials as low as $13. We both chose L1, a combo of 5 pieces of nigiri sushi and a generous California roll plus salad and miso soup. All very tasty. Angela was prompt and attentive and provided excellent service.

Stopped in for dinner and ended up ordering way more sushi than I planned. Everything was so fresh I just kept going. The yellowtail nigiri was a standout melts in your mouth. I also liked their shrimp tempura roll, super crispy and flavorful. Service was quick and our server checked in often. The vibe was relaxed and not too loud. Prices were fair for the quality.

WOW! The food is great! Authentic and skilled sushi chefs. We stopped in because we were in the Kings Landing shopping area and the other restaurants in the center had long waits, but they seated us right away. Our server,Shelby, was fantastic! Knowledgeable and helpful. Food was so good it's now our 1-2 times a week sushi place. It's our 9 year twins favorite too. If you are a sushi fan you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I visited for lunch. It was our first time at this establishment and we were pleasantly surprised! Excellent sushi with a great variety of specialty rolls! We will be making a return visit!

We slipped in for a little Sunday afternoon lunch!

They are consistently terrific! This is our favorite sushi restaurant!! The service is 9 out of 10 times fantastic, today Kelsey was our waitress and she let s in on a Japanese tradition...:it's considered bad luck to pour your own drink! She diligently poured Rick's saki again and again! We appreciate the beautiful restaurant and while we are not fans of tv's in restaurants they at least have theirs on mute and play upbeat music overhead making for a more romantic experience! Check out the picture I took of the hostess stand all decorated for Valentine's Day! To the business owners....we don't know how you consistently deliver but we are so grateful that you do! Keep it up!!

I've only been here for the lunch special but every time i do it's fantastic. It's a great deal and the cuts of fish are fantastic. They will sub any fish if you have a preference and service is great. Highly recommend.

Lunch special with an extra nigiri.

This is my go to lunch place for sushi. I've been coming here for years. The sushi quality is always top notch, the picture tells the story.

Those crab rangoons were just foul, why are you using fish???? The beef fried rice I cannot fathom why there is no garlic or onions, overall not a complete flop of a dish. It was our first trip…read morein since Masago SUSHI moved in to the old Sushi Hana location on Riverside dr. near the Creek Turnpike. It looked much the same as before, clean and inviting with enough class to make it feel nice but also chill enough for a wide variety of patrons to feel comfortable. We started with appetizers or calamari and tuna carpaccio. The calamari were wonderfully cooked and not super chewy. The breading was a little different than what you'd find at other places and was crispy and enjoyable. The sweet chili sauce was splendid and added an extra lightly sweet note. The tuna capaccio. This completely wowed us. Thin slices of tuna with some sprouts and and a wasabi drizzle. The presentation was wonderful, it tasted amazing and was fun to eat!! Our sushi rolls, two basic and two chef specials. We got the spicy tiny and Boston rolls along with a 1776 which included thinly sliced filet mignon on the outside. All of our rolls were well crafted and the fish felt and tasted as fresh as possible for being in a land locked state. We really enjoyed the 1776 but it wasn't something we'd get again. Where the steak was fine and it tasted good, it's not something that we want to circle back to. On a side note, the wasabi served with our sushi tasted like one would expect but didn't bring the heat as I'd hoped. I enjoy that burn in my nostrils! It didn't take away from the overall experience as it's simply my preference. To wrap up, our server did and excellent job. She was friendly and personable and made sure we always had full glasses. Kudos to good service. If you've dined here before, what was your favorite item to order?

There are claw machines at the front and back and sketchbooks with colored pencils on every table so you can draw while waiting for your food. The service is friendly - you order at the front counter and get a buzzer that buzzes when your food is ready at the pickup counter. The boba drinks are good. They have a decent selection of milk teas and fruit drinks as well as toppings. The boba pearls are done right, freshly made so they are soft and chewy like they're supposed to be. Once I ordered popping boba on accident (honey boba on the menu) thinking it was regular boba sweetened with honey and did not like it. They graciously switched it out with regular boba for me which I truly appreciated. My one recommendation would be to adjust the sweetness level if you prefer lighter drinks. The last time I visited I forgot to ask and it was a bit on the sweet side for me. I've also ordered poke and teriyaki bowls from them before and it was ok. The food was fine, it just didn't stand out to me. I usually come here for the drinks but would give the food another try given the good service and atmosphere. They have ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers like chicken karaage and kimchi fries. Overall I'd recommend Gung Ho as a solid hangout spot that's centrally located with good drinks and plenty of food options.

I ordered crab rangoon with peach sauce & shrimp tempura as appetizers for my son & I to share. The coating on the shrimp tempura was excellent & very crunchy. The restaurant has a Pokemon/Anime vibe & attracts young people in groups so it got a little noisy but not bad. I would definitely go back.

Solid birthday dinner experience here. I was annoyed they made it clear dress was business casual…read moreand sent us an email to remind us about the dress code, yet when we arrived dressed appropriately, a guy at the bar was in a hat. The bar is the first thing you see when you walk in, and it's right next to the dining area, so you can't have casual or dressy at one without the other. The birthday part was fun because they served ice cream with a sparkler lit in it, which is way more fun than a regular free dessert or someone singing to our table. Nice touch! Truffle fries appetizer is the best. I order this wherever possible around Tulsa, and this was one of the better ones! Filet mignon was done well. If you like garlic, add the double garlic toum, which is basically puréed garlic to add on the steak. Mac and cheese was just ok. Whipped potato gratin was different and tasty. I wish they had crispy brussel sprouts for a side like other steakhouses. Iceberg wedge salad was good, but they only had one cheese substitute if you don't like blue cheese. I asked for ranch instead and it was good. We tried to change our reservation on a Wednesday night to push it back by 30 minutes due to work urgencies, and they showed no availability online, yet we didn't see more than two other parties there the entire time. They need to work out their online system better as this isn't an issue with other restaurants. Definitely worth a try, and I would go back.
