With the bowl being full of chicken along with the other components like fish cake, seaweed, bamboo shoots, green onion & a soft boiled egg (that's also flavored)... it's not even an overload. It's flavor on top of flavor on top of flavor. I couldn't even finish it & took it to-go. My waitress was super nice & the wait on my food didn't take long (they had a mini lunch rush when I got here). Outside of ramen, there's so much to choose from. It was crunchy on top, juicy in the middle, and perfectly cooked. The fried rice (instead of plain rice) was really tasty too. The veggies were nice. All together I loved this dish. My nephew enjoyed the lomi salad and took half of it home. We split the tempura bananas and enjoyed it. If you like funnel cake, you will like the tempura bananas. I can't wait to go back! I need to stay close by so that I can imbibe with a few of the cocktails. The views from the patio are spectacular especially with the fire pits going.

Every restaurant and place of business can do that with ease. That shouldn't call for us to be disrespected. It makes zero sense. Zero. We were respectful, pretty, and paid! We weren't "loud, ghetto, or any (special choice of words)". So with that being said, if you're brown, we're not welcomed there!!! This holds serious weight. This did happen. This will be dealt with in the proper way and through the proper channels. I do not tolerate disrespect of any form.

There was a time when Dan and I loved that but now our sushi preference is nigiri and our roll preference is whatever is the closest thing you can get to nigiri. We also don't like signature cocktails. We prefer both our drinks and our sushi to be as close to pure as we can get: martinis and nigiri . We frequently attend Happy Hour at a different In the Raw. We find the service and ambiance better where we usually go. The sake at Brookside was not good. It had kind of a soapy taste. We got domestic beers for our second drinks. We forgot to ask for glasses. Service was slow so we just drank them from the bottle, which we hate to do. The main plus for the Brookside restaurant is the location. During warm weather, the outdoor seating is fun. We had a fun evening with our granddaughter and her wonderful boyfriend. My advice to diners is to ask for the Happy Hour menu anytime you go to any restaurant between 2 PM and 7 PM. This isn't the only restaurant that has a Happy Hour but doesn't promote it. The service is friendly - you order at the front counter and get a buzzer that buzzes when your food is ready at the pickup counter. The boba drinks are good. They have a decent selection of milk teas and fruit drinks as well as toppings. The boba pearls are done right, freshly made so they are soft and chewy like they're supposed to be. Once I ordered popping boba on accident (honey boba on the menu) thinking it was regular boba sweetened with honey and did not like it. They graciously switched it out with regular boba for me which I truly appreciated. My one recommendation would be to adjust the sweetness level if you prefer lighter drinks. The last time I visited I forgot to ask and it was a bit on the sweet side for me. I've also ordered poke and teriyaki bowls from them before and it was ok. The food was fine, it just didn't stand out to me. I usually come here for the drinks but would give the food another try given the good service and atmosphere. They have ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers like chicken karaage and kimchi fries. Overall I'd recommend Gung Ho as a solid hangout spot that's centrally located with good drinks and plenty of food options.
