We didnt even get to stay here because the owners are back and fourth on policy's Booked in for Dec 2020 during covid. My family contracted Covid days away from trip. We were definitely well within the Covid guidelines of a return policy, but they wouldn't give one so we agreed to just using the credit at a later. After that they more than able to cancel it and tried to reschedule us for the spring . Their availability went away every time. Every few months we would attempt to make a booking, but they were always full. (interesting right ?) Next thing you know two years plus go by. Now she says she's unable to give us any compensation or credit because we're past the two years. It's not our fault they did not have availability. Don't book your stay here. The owners have every intention to get money out of you and lack any type of customer service. Worst customer service and just the worst selfish people. The owners are very kind and attentive. They let us borrow some of their boogie boards and beach chairs when we spent a day at Hukilau beach. It was amazing waking up to the sun rise every day. The beach was great for our kids (not too rough, not too deep). We love the north shore area of Oahu and will always stay here when we visit.

Despite Mother Nature's blessings, our family had an uneventful, yet relaxing time telling stories, playing cards, backgammon, and eating like there's no tomorrow; serious grazing. There's something to be said for having nothing to do. The rain slowed things down and forced us to just be, instead of doing so much. Exactly what a vacation should be. Now only if we could get the kids on board with that. This is the second time our family has rented this property. The main house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one tub and one shower. The living room area is nice sized, however the kitchen is a bit small but totally workable. The dinning room table doubles as a poker table. Full size washer and dryer available and with its own access via the outside deck. Totally separate is a two-story dwelling that houses two apartments that each sleeps four with its own bathroom/shower facilities and kitchenettes. The beach is typically beautiful with Goat Island in the distance. Lovely swimming holes immediatley out front, however this all looked stormy and fierce during our most recent stay. Nice place to surf and paddle board when the conditions are right. The deck and landscaping are charming additions making you feel at home, allowing you to sink in like you own the place. Classic bait-and-switch SCAM. They canceled our original VRBO Oahu rentals twice, offering a different property each time via email for houses that were listed on VRBO. They sent an email with a link to book through Rental Advisor instead of VRBO, which would have been protected by VRBO's Book with Confidence Guarantee. Because this whole process seemed fishy and Rental Advisor was not forthcoming about renter protections I decided to go deep enough into the booking process to see their Renter Agreement, in which I found the property address. I searched the property on Google Maps and found the house in a rundown neighborhood nowhere near ocean beaches (like the rental "bait"). Needless to say I canceled the original rentals (twice, because they actually listed TWO great-looking rentals on Oahu as "bait.") I feel for the folks who actually ended up in some of their properties and had ruined vacations. I'm a pretty savvy traveler and even I almost fell for their scams. STAY AWAY! The photos: The one in the daylight was the "bait," the one taken at night is the "switch" (pretty nice, huh?) and the street is where the house is located.

I loved the vibe of Northshore as the scenery was lush and lots of beautiful spots for snorkeling. The hotel does a great job of making the guests feel at home. Had to change rooms because I was put in a room right next to the pool and next to theebttance way to the pool area. First night did not get any sleep due to drunk people partying in the pool area and slamming doors but we were moved to a quiet area of the hotel away. The rest of our stay was more peaceful. Kudos to Zach for his kindness and professianalism. He made our stay enjoyable. Not sure why they charge a parking fee as they have a very wide open parking lot and it is not limited. The area is in akind of rural area of Oahu as North shore is more peaceful and has a laid-back feel compared to Waikiki. The pool is nice. It is also located next to a plaza with many food options.
