They are so disorganized it's unbelievable. They kick you out of your house between semesters to "clean" and act like you're supposed to have somewhere else to live for the random week and a half between semesters. During this time they make you put everything you own in the closet and state that they will not touch anything that is in there. When I came back everything I had left in the closet was moved. Even my guitar that was INSIDE my guitar case was taken out and place back inside of my case the wrong way. They add a bunch of random charges to the end of your bill at each semester. Not only did they give me and ALL of my roommates less than half of our security deposits back, but they sent them to a random address in random states so that they would not get to us. There are a lot of good people that work for HRI. People whom I personally know and love. But the company itself is corrupt.

We were definitely well within the Covid guidelines of a return policy, but they wouldn't give one so we agreed to just using the credit at a later. After that they more than able to cancel it and tried to reschedule us for the spring . Their availability went away every time. Every few months we would attempt to make a booking, but they were always full. (interesting right ?) Next thing you know two years plus go by. Now she says she's unable to give us any compensation or credit because we're past the two years. It's not our fault they did not have availability. Don't book your stay here. The owners have every intention to get money out of you and lack any type of customer service. Worst customer service and just the worst selfish people. It seemed to be a perfect destination for our honeymoon- beach front, quiet, no crowds. However, upon our arrival, we were greeted with three children screaming next door and loud music playing. The beach front rental we booked does have a privacy screen on the patio but it's pretty much a shard patio. No matter- we will just lounge on the beach and enjoy our homemade beverages. Unfortunately, the hurricane like wind prevented that. It was so windy that we didn't even use the lounge chairs or picnic table outside. The waves on the beach were too intense due to the weather, so we attempted to find calmer beaches...no luck on the north side. Rip currents were everywhere. Okay, how about a nice dinner? Nope- your only option is roadside shrimp or a taqueria, which was fine, but not what we had anticipated. McDonald's had coffee since our place wasn't furnished with any. There are grocery stores nearby, so that's where we got some food. Everything shuts down around 9. The management was responsive to the complaints we had of the children, but you're pretty much at the mercy of whomever is staying next to you since it's an intimate setting and thin walls. Oh, and I hope you like roosters being raised in a dilapidated house next door. After another day of failing to find a beach we could swim in, we came home to find a giant sewer cockroach in the bathroom. That was the final straw. We headed to Waikiki and enjoyed sunshine, calm warm waters, and a wonderful dinner out. Yes, it was crowded, but the water made everything better. The windward side is very authentic...very windy and rainy when the other side is not, and sparse as far as eateries go. It just wasn't the honeymoon we imagined. We asked for at least a night refund (we left two nights early) but didn't get a response to that at all.

Renter Beware: Avoid This Property Management Company…read more I rented through this agency for over 4 years, always paid on time, and left the apartment in better condition than when I moved in. Despite this, they withheld most my security deposit and tried to charge me for furniture that was never even provided in the unit. This wasn't an isolated incident of poor service -- I had requested replacement curtains after mine fell apart, and it took the agency over a year to follow through. Communication was consistently unresponsive and unprofessional throughout my tenancy. What makes this worse is that I now own a rental property myself. Having seen how this company treats tenants, I would never use them -- not as a renter, and not as an owner looking for a property management company. They seem far more interested in squeezing every dollar from deposits than treating good tenants fairly. If you're considering renting from this agency, think twice. And if you're a property owner considering hiring them to manage your property, look elsewhere.

With another tenant who also used the garbage cans, where we even helped our senior lower unit tenant dump her garbage the day we moved out, And when we moved in the cans were full and we had to request it to be removed. We have emails showing the cans were full and removed with rental company. Returning property as it was found, no damage done to the property. Normal wear and tear on the invoice and some are not even real. Duck tape so rodents don't go in the house.. wear and tear! And all health issues gone since moving out Security deposit can not be deducted for no damage and just wear and tear, as seen on invoice to the property. The towel bar was like 40 years old! Sean and Cathy can kick rocks with slippers on. Extremely unprofessional and unethical.

But after taking with Sean and Raullen, I was able to take the first steps and felt like I was finally heading in the right direction. Their team was in contact with me basically everyday from the initial calls to viewing, step by step they explained everything, and anytime I had questions or needed recommendations they were always there to answer. They work with the purpose of supporting you, and communicate so well between each other and the other key people it takes to close on home, that within a month or 2 I was signing and handed my keys!! It's been about a year since then, and I'm so thankful to them for being there and basically holding my hand through the whole process. I'll be sure to contact them again when the time comes! It is a 500 square-foot one bedroom apartment. Not a room in our home.
