I went here for a late lunch and it was completely empty. I imagine there's a lunch rush. Very clean, simple decor, and a bit plain. Pretty standard poke bowls and sushi burritos. I like the açaí bowl option but I haven't tried those yet. This would be a great option for quick bite leaving or going to the beach since it's so close.

I attended a group walk and they had us order our food earlier that day to sit and eat on the beach. Not only did they deliver it to us but they walked on the beach to do so with a smile. The volcano bowl and mahalo colada were refreshing and delicious. The perfect end to an amazing evening. I'm actually going back today to do the same exact thing minus the walking group.

Yes yes yes! I had plans to go elsewhere for lunch but they fell through. This Poke House was conveniently located right near my salon so it was a win-win. I order the Superfood Granola Bowl & the Huli-Huli Chicken Poke Bowl. Both were sooooo savory & flavorful. The Açaí bowl had a flavorful smoothie and was evenly topped with granola, coconut, and fresh blueberries. As for the Hulu-Huli chicken poke bowl ! I can't wait to eat that again. The chicken & rice were cooked perfectly, the pineapple was fresh, and the sauce really brought it all together. In the future, I would order without or without less green onions. But will definitely be ordering that again. Highly recommend both their Açaí & Poke bowls!

had an impulsive beach day and thought i would wind down with a meal here as i've been eyeing this place after seeing it the small amount of times i would pass through the area. the storefront is a cute little homey place in east bay area. however, it did take a while to place my order as the 3 people working behind the counter seemed to have been overwhelmed with the orders received prior to me arriving. so if you intend on bringing a party i would warn you of a slighter longer wait time. i ordered the Kalua Pork Bowl. This signature bowl had amazing flavors and components within the dish , but in my opinion heavily drenched in the sauce almost overpowering all the other ingredients, I also ordered the Dragon Fruit Juice which felt extremely watered down and tasted as if I was drinking water that was sitting in a room with dragonfruit. Very underwhelming as I was expecting a refreshing yet also slightly creamy drink (due to coconut milk)

Made my own bowl. Not a lot of protein but I did get the small. I was glad I could get a LOADED bowl and all the crunchy!! It was salty, but hey- when you get shoyu, what do you expect?? The musubi was good! Just the right amount of heat. It fell apart but use chopsticks to pick up the mess. Duh!! Very bright. Hipster place. SUPER FRIENDLY staff. And they're crazy busy with mobile orders. Pay with card. Get a drink. I'll be back!!

I pass Mahalo Poke House a lot and finally was able to pop in for lunch. No one else was there so I was attended to very quickly. I ordered the Volcano bowl with Mahalo Colada. I absolutely loved the bowl! Fresh ingredients and had the right amount of kick. The Mahalo Colada was refreshing and tasty. The establishment is very clean and crisply decorated. It gave off a calm vibe which I enjoyed. Look forward to returning.

Anytime I have the opportunity to get Poke, I do. So I've been to my fair share of Poke places, and this one's among the top! Mahalo is just what East Beach has been needing - a place to quickly grab a refreshing bite before, during, or after a beach day. The atmosphere is clean and inviting, the staff helpful, and the menu extensive. Not to mention reasonably priced. They have a variety of pre-set options or create your own. I created a wrap (aka sushi-burrito) and was pleasantly surprised by how fresh their fish was, along with the portion size. This will be my new local poke spot!

If you're in the area this is a must try spot! I drove past this place multiple times before stopping in and I'm so glad that I decided to give it a try as it's my go to spot for poke. The spicy ahi bowl is delicious but you can't go wrong with any of their options! The folks that work there are always so kind and the service is quick. Cannot recommend enough!

I ventured to pick up my lunch order when I was driving home from my Saturday morning trip to East Beach Farmers Market. It was from Mahalo Poke House. Ambience: The restaurant is super clean, bright and airy and very organized. It was very quiet. No customers were dining. I can't even remember if there is music playing on PA system. I was greeted. I was asked if there were any question to which I indicated it was my first time. I was pointed to a menu. Quite friendly service although I was expecting more helpful response like asking what do I like - if vegan then they have a selection; or if seafood then pick what selection. The decor was simple, with theme of Hawaii (ukuleles line one wall). Food: I ordered to go: spicy spam musubi, Nori wrap and a Yum Yum Shrimp bowl. The musubi was really good, great seasoning; however the spam seemed overly cooked where it was too dry. Nori Wrap wasn't anything special, the tuna seemed to be canned tuna and not cooked fresh tuna. The Yum Yum shrimp Bowl came in either small or large portion. I ordered small but it was nowhere near the size of bowls sold at other poke houses. Kind of overpriced. And the to go packaging was paper so the paper was soaked and fell apart , wish they were lined with plastic so the paper wouldn't stick to the food!

I was in the area and being from Hawaii, Mahalo Poke House caught my eye!! Its located off Shore Dr. in a shopping center not far from E. Little Creek. Theres plenty of parking and its close to the beach!! When i entered i was greeted by one of the owners. A real nice guy who i chatted with while he was making my food. The decor was cute and the restaurant was clean with a good vibe!! I told him I'd never been there so he helped me with my order. Its subway style where the toppings are on a line. They have salmon, tuna, shrimp, crab, onions, sauces, rice, and more. I ordered a custom bowl with all the good stuff. I also got fish eggs and crab salad which have an up charge. Everything came to about $17. I asked for my salmon and tuna on the side so i could cook it when i got home... (Me and raw fish got a love hate relationship so i must cook it..) Lol. He didn't have a problem with that so i appreciated that. The meat isn't seasoned, so when i cooked it i added some and it kicked it up a notch. Yum.. The krab salad wasn't my favorite but i enjoyed everything else. If it had a little seasoning i think I'd like the crab salad. I know most poke bowls aren't seasoned, thats what the sauces are for. So make sure you get your favorite sauces!! The bowl was pretty good. It was filling and i enjoyed the sauces. It reminded me of home.. I also got a merm-ade house made blue drink. It was light, sugar free, and refreshing.. I don't recommend getting alot of ice if you get this drink because the drink is very light already, to avoid it being watered down. It was a hot day so it hit the spot. I had a free coupon so I'm glad i got to try it!! They have like 4 or 5 other fun flavors to try. Most don't have sugar so if your diabetic you can enjoy them to!!!! If you like poke bowls and wanna eat kinda healthy, you should definitely try Mahalo Poke House... Good customer service and tasty food... I'll be back next time I'm in the area to try the musubi... Because, why not? Lol... 4.5 stars!!

Friendly, quick service and fresh tender fish. I built my own bowl with the guidance of the woman at the counter. I only tried the salmon but it was good quality, and the serving to price ratio was pretty standard. Overall it was a good experience.

I will start this off with one singular word: Rice. I don't know what they do to make their rice perfectly fluffy and soft and delicious, but it works! I ordered a large salmon bowl with a little bit of ahi. It worked because a large includes 3 scoops of protein so I just got double salmon and ahi tuna. It's very easy to customize your bowl, you can add extra items from their large selection of ingredients. For example, I added kani salad, pineapple, mango, corn, eel sauce, and spicy Mayo to what was already included. I finished that bowl so fast. I also ordered two spam musubi and it was amazing!!!! Wanna know why? Rice. It was still warm when I unwrapped the snack from its parchment paper. The combination of the salty, fried spam, seaweed, savory sauce, and THE rice danced on my tastebuds. Everything was washed down with the prime juice, which I liked because of the coconut milk. I also received a free drink after checking in so I used that offer to get myself a mer-made. Both drinks need a little bit more sweetness though. Overall, I enjoyed this place. I came in during the first hour of opening on a Sunday. No crazy crowd, just beautiful sunlight beaming into a serenely decorated place. I love the wall for photo opportunities. The ukuleles, macrame, and art contribute the the calm ambiance. The appearance gives you a small piece of Hawaii while the food gives you a taste. Great way to start the day. I can't wait to try more of their menu

The food was fresh with plenty of options for your poke. The spicy options we had (a wrap and a bowl) were both delicious.

We got the sweet chili Thai wings and the soy garlic wings. Both were delicious. He said they tasted the same, but I don't fully agree they're both on the sweeter side, but you can still tell the difference in flavor. Either way, both are really good and I'd get them again. He also got the taro boba. He liked it, but I personally am not a fan of their taro boba. It has this powdery taste to me that I don't get from other places, so I usually skip the drinks there. There was a bit of a mix-up with ordering. They have a value deal where you get 6 wings + a boba for about $9.95. I accidentally ordered just the wings for $8.95 thinking I'd be getting more wings for the price. That wasn't the case it was still just 6 wings. My man got the value deal and basically got the better deal with the drink included. I tried to see if I could just pay the dollar difference to add the boba after, but they said no since the order was already placed, so lesson learned: just get the combo. Even with that, the wings are still worth it. Also, the dumplings are really good the pork ones especially. I think I liked the beef ones a little more last time, but these were still solid. Overall, I'd definitely recommend sticking with the value combo and just going for the wings and dumplings. That's the best part of the menu for me.

Though a lot of people come in from the naval base and the surrounding area, it's not a super busy spot. This place is very hole-in-the-wall and straightforward. They serve both authentic Filipino food and Poke. People come in for both! This place offers a "turo-turo" experience, like what you would do at places like Panda Express, Moe's, Chipotle, where the entree items/Poke ingredients are already laid out for you and you just have to point ("turo" in Tagalog) at what you want on your plate. Even if you don't know the name of the dish, the staff is very helpful. The nice thing is you don't have to wait for your food to cook! I don't know if this place keeps the same menu everyday, but usually in places like these, the menu changes, so what was offered the day you visited might be different from the next! :) They also offer a unique variety of asian brand drinks on their fridge that you can just grab and pay for on the counter. Overall, our meal + drinks were a cheap price! Everyone in there was incredibly friendly. And the food was good! We had the adobo and the longganisa and it was delicious. But like most Filipino dishes, what is a hit for me might be a miss for some. Filipino food highly varies in flavor based on who cooks it since most households have their own flare and twist on cooking certain dishes. This is one of those things where you just have to go in and try it for yourself and see if you like how they make it! I personally enjoyed the meal and would love to come back to try their Poke! The space itself is very small. Not a lot of seating inside. So more of a to-go joint than a sit-down spot. It also shares the same strip with other businesses, so not a lot of parking either. But if you're looking for a quick lunch on the go, I highly recommend this spot.
