Still excellent service, nice dining room. The food is as close to homemade as it can be and is absolutely scrumptious and delicious. Great place for lunch and dinner and there's plenty of parking available, as well as outdoor seating

Wow. My friend and I had the best experience here today. I feel like the staff treated us like family. They worked well together as a team to fill water glasses, bring out food, and clear the table. Our server, Raj, was outstanding. We appreciated the little stories he shared with us while he engaged in conversation. I wholeheartedly appreciate their vegan options that are clearly labeled. I was also pleasantly surprised that they offer lunch specials even on a Sunday. There were 2 vegan lunch special options, so I chose the first one: okra with yellow dal, basmati rice, and roti. My friend and I also split the appetizer, vegetable samosas, which are also vegan. Portion size and flavors were perfect. I forgot to take a pic before I ate the entrees, so my 2 pics are only part of the meal. The place was almost full on a Sunday early afternoon, so a lot of people must think this place is great! I also appreciated how friendly Nick, the manager, was during our visit. The only area I would improve is the decor... I didn't love it. Will definitely return for more delicious vegan food!

Came here with a South Indian friend and it was great! Unfortunately, he is a vegetarian so we only ate vegetarian dishes, but they were still really good. Very flavorful! The chili naan was good, the eggplant dish we had was also good. Next time, I will come back here and try out their dishes with meat. I am a carnivore. The service was good, the dining area really nice. Will come back again! BATHROOM REVIEW: Located past the kitchen, the bathroom was in tip-top shape. Inside there was a urinal and hand dryer, which all worked great. Toilet seemed to be clean, and if not, a handy toilet brush sits right next to it, if you want to take matter in your own hands. Sit or squat? Sit!

I wish I would have remembered to take a picture of the inside of the restaurant. The decor was elegant. The servers were awesome, very attentive. We were able to get a high chair for our little one. The food was excellent. My favorite was the tandoori chicken, it was very well seasoned. My second favorite was the butter chicken. We got there for the lunch, and were able to try a few lunch specials as a shareable for the table. The portions were awesome. I definitely recommended this place to a few of my friends so far. We will definitely be going back.

We were promptly seated at a spacious booth that was perfect for 2. They basically inherited all the furniture from the previous Marcello's restaurant. The restaurant itself was spacious with tasteful décor, although it was a bit dark. Service was very friendly and attentive throughout the evening. I ordered a Mango Lassi ($4), which was creamy and sweet with a strong mango flavor, absolutely delicious. My husband had a beer ($5). For food, we first shared an order of Garlic Naan ($5). The 5 pieces were warm and delightful. Although they were not as fluffy and were thinner than other naan we've had, they had crispy, crunchy bases and were packed with garlicky flavor in every bite, seriously addictive! Just for the Mango Lassi and Garlic Naan, I would absolutely come back. We also ordered Butter Chicken ($19) and Goat Curry ($22) to share. Since their entrées do not include rice, we also got an order of Basmati Rice ($4). The Butter Chicken was creamy and buttery, although the sauce was a bit on the sweet side. The chicken pieces were all meat and not dry. The Goat Curry was spicy but flavorful, with tender meat attached to the bones, except for one chewy piece. The portions were good, and we even had some Butter Chicken left to take home. All in all, we had a good experience and would love to come back to try more dishes. I am rounding the experience from 4.5 to 5 stars.

Both times, the staff was incredibly warm and kind, and both times my food was flavorful. I have had the bullet naan ($5) and the garlic naan. And both times I ordered a dish with paneer (I'm vegetarian, and love a good Indian dish with paneer). I will say, that the first time I was here, I ordered a glass of wine, and knew IMMEDIATELY as the wine was set down in front of me, that the wine was spoiled. The Pinto Grigio stank like an old Chardonnay and turned my stomach so badly after just one sip, I had to take my food to go and finished it the next day. I have also noticed that the water carafes and glasses were kind of dirty the two times that I was in here, and that's a huge turnoff for me when dining in a restaurant (hence the 4 stars, not 5). I highly recommend Tandoor for the food and service, just skip alcoholic beverages, and maybe don't drink the water...?

Since we hadn't been here, we decided to check it out. This restaurant is located off Dempster St. in a small plaza. They serve a variety of dosas and Indian street food dishes. They also offer Indian desserts, Indian beverages, Boba teas, and Yemeni Adani Tea. The pricing is reasonable. We ordered a Ghee Roasted Dosa, and extra spicy Mysore Masala Dosa, a Spring Dosa, Mumbai Pav Bhaji, and two Adani teas. The food was served promptly. The food is served in sturdy disposable food trays along with plastic ware and hot beverages are served in coffee shop like to-go, small size (paper) coffee cups. The tea was scalding hot as it was freshly prepared. I had to let it cool off. The plastic lid of the cup was tightly fitted and given how hot the cup was, it was hard to take the plastic lid off. The lid was hot along with the cup. They had the hot cup sleeves but they were too big for their small tea cups. The tea was nice. All the dosas were tasty. We liked them. They had decent flavor and texture. They were a bit thicker than the dosas from other south Indian restaurants we have eaten at. That wasn't a problem to us. The spice level for my dosa was good. The accompaniments with the dosas of sambar, coconut chutney, and tomato chutney, for dosa dipping purposes, were nice. We really liked the coconut chutney (w/ cashews) and tomato chutney (w/ peanuts). They were flavorful. The sambar had a nice flavor (from spices & veggies) but texture wise it could've been better. It needed to be a bit thicker. The Pav Bhaji (bread with mixed veggies in a gravy) had a decent taste but it needed to be thick with some body from the usual veggies in it. The Pav (Indian bread) for the Bhaji was really good. Our experience was nice. The service was decent. We were the first customers after they opened at 12:30 pm but a short time later, the restaurant got busy. If I am in the area again, I would go back. Overall, 3.5 stars.

The food was great. (Under the assumption that the food is still as great, I'm leaving them with two stars.) I was very excited that they have or are introducing some small plates. I made a reservation and drove about 1 hour and 40 minutes to get there. We arrived significantly early and checked in about 20 minutes before our reservation, which is on us, not their fault. First of all, their entrance: logistically speaking, for the design of the place needs A LOT of logistical work. Hasn't changed since I came 2 years ago. Still not visible to the folks inside. This evening especially when you are on your 2nd night of a 6 night special menu, someone's got to be paying attention to your guests coming in. We entered, checked around, and pulled the curtain (Literally if you don't pull the curtain, you can't quite see inside and there is nobody in that entrance space from the staff side). One of the owners, who was behind the bar, did notice us but I have to assume she was busy as she was alone behind the bar. A couple of other servers noticed us and we figured it might be a bit busy, so we would wait for a bit; I mean we were early after all. Within a few moments, more guests came in; 6 more in all who had their reservations before us. We all waited for several minutes till someone came. A gentleman who truly was very polite (I'm guessing he was the other owner and was truly working hard, had a smile on his face, courteous, was sweating profusely) checked all of us in and confirmed whether we would rather sit at the bar or have a table. I confirmed I'd rather sit at the table. All good, and I totally had no problem waiting since we were so early. Here's the thing: this was around 15 min prior to our scheduled time of 7 pm. He said it would take 15 to 20 before our table would be ready as there are still some guests finishing up. In the restaurant industry, even though there is a set time they take a reservation for, if there are guests already, I get it. It can go a little past that. Here's what I don't get, though: roughly 25 minutes after he said that, nobody came to check in on us. He did not come to check in on us at all. At that 25 min mark, one of the servers noticed us while coming to the entrance for something and said, "Have you been taken care of?" We said, "Kind of. We're still waiting for our table. We have a reservation for 7." She said, "Oh, okay, I will fix one table for you," and then she disappeared. Literally. The original owner, or at least I think he is, never showed up. Nobody checked in on us, and it was as if we did not exist. My wife and I decided, "You know what? We're walking out and never walking back in here." Now, to be clear, I want to be very clear: I absolutely know for certain this was not done intentionally on their part. What I am not buying, however, is that, in the two years I've been here, I'm sure I'm not the only person who has experienced this issue at the entrance. Furthermore, on a special evening like this, when you're launching your special menu on the second night, how can you lose sight of paying guests who have come to try out your food? This is the part of the service that is absolutely unforgivable, no matter how hard they were working. I feel terrible because this is a very strong statement. This is maybe the third restaurant among thousands I've visited over my life where I've made the statement that I will never set foot there again. Keep in mind that this restaurant closes at 8:30. We ended up walking out at 7:30. At that time, I saw that at least six tables were empty. Two of those tables had been empty since we came in. Again, that's just an observation. They could be reserved for another guest coming in shortly after. There were plenty of opportunities while we were there and after we walked out. From a service perspective, the sting could have been made less, but there was zero effort.
