I give the butter chicken 2 thumbs up! I ordered a "surprise" meal through the Too Good To Go app, and was given a container stuffed with rice, raisin naan and butter chicken. Everything was delicious. I'll return to dine in the restaurant, which is small but nicely decorated.

I bought a Groupon that allows me to spend $15 for $30 worth for food at this restaurant. We stopped by on a Tuesday night and ordered their chicken korma and a lamb curry dish. The portion was small but the flavor was good. We also tried their biryani (fried rice) which was very salty. Overall, with the groupon, not a bad deal.

Loved everything I had! The naan selection was really nice to see. India Gate soda was very good. Lentil soup was a perfect level of creamy and spicy. Definitely coming back when I'm in town. Ordered a couple desserts to go just because!

Found this restaurant on the "TooGoodToGo" app. There wasn't any specific area designated for the people waiting to sit, so I walked around the plaza. I found others waiting for their pick-up utilizing the nearby tables set up for customers. They have outdoor seating, gender neutral bathrooms, & a bar with liquor and masala chai to go. I was happy with the food (I got (paneer veggie dish). Overall, this is a Beautiful place covered in plants and leaves which gives a calming effect. The music was loud so it may not be the best for a first date or business meeting, if you get easily distracted.

This food was absolutely amazing! My friend and I tried this place for the first time and were highly impressed by the flavors and the portion sizes! We excitedly took our leftovers home and enjoyed them the next day! Very friendly service and a nice calm atmosphere for dining!

My family and I found Tandoor Curry Hotspot to be a good restaurant to check out whenever you are in the mood for tasty Indian food. The restaurant was inviting with its aesthetics and decor. It was well lit and clean. The restaurant's menu has a good variety, and the dishes are reasonably priced in today's times. Located in a shopping center in Riverwoods, this restaurant is a good addition to the restaurants in the area (between Wheeling, Buffalo Grove, Lincolnshire). We went here for dinner and were not disappointed. We were promptly seated and served based on when we ordered. The restaurant was busy with takeout orders. We were in the mood for North Indian cuisine, so we ordered Naan, Onion Kulcha, Tandoori Roti, Palak Paneer, Kadai Paneer, and Meerut-style Goat curry dishes, for our entrées. I ordered chicken wings for my appetizer and requested them to be prepared in Indian style (which is not how they are normally cooked). By Indian style, I meant with curry spices or sauce. Our server, who also seemed to be the manager of the restaurant, said no problem to my request. The food came out promptly. It smelled and looked good. My wings were prepared in tandoori style, and they were delicious. The wings were accompanied by a mint chutney, some grilled onions, and slices of lemon. The vegetarian dishes like Palak Paneer and Kadai Paneer were aromatic and flavorful. The spice level was to our liking as we had requested. My goat curry dish was requested to be extra spicy, and it was good as well. It was my favorite dish. The Naan, Kulcha, and Roti we ordered were on point, too. We also ordered Malai Kulfi, an Indian ice cream dessert, which was housemade. It was decent. Overall, we had a good experience and would go back for more. Check out Tandoor Curry Hotspot for delicious Indian food.

Still one of my top go to for India food in the suburbs! Service is good, food was delicious and the other Indian patrons tell me it's authentic.

I came on a Tuesday night for dinner. There was just one other table being served and a couple of take out orders when I got here. A couple more tables filled up while I was here. This business is in a strip mall and fairly small. It seats up to 30 people. I ordered the Kadai chicken, which is a little spicy with paneer kulcha naan (cottage cheese and cilantro). Food was exceptional, which explains why the service was a little slow. Everything must be cooked to order. I know they said they could make it as spicy as I liked it. I went with the standard, and it was great. Next time, I might have them spice it up a little more because I like it spicy. Great little place with excellent, tasty food.

Came here for dinner on Monday - they offer 10% off on Mondays. Staff are super friendly but the service was slightly slow. Love the little place and its decoration. I'm not super impressed by the food personally- we ordered eggplant curry and it had a strong burned flavor. Butter chicken was much better but on par with other Indian places. I would come back and try another time perhaps - and will update the review if my opinions change.

We came here for an early weekend dinner. The place was empty when we arrived and did not fill up that much during our time here. Only 1 or 2 other tables and a couple of take out orders. We ordered a variety of items to try. We got the spicy chicken wings for an appetizer- they were not overly spicy which was nice. It also came with a green sauce that was a great accompaniment for the wings. We also ordered a mango lassi which was well made. For our mains we got an assorted tandoori bread basket, the kashmiri lamb rogan josh and the paneer Tikka masala. The food overall was good, nothing overly spicy and the flavors were as expected. I felt like the pricing here too was pretty decent mostly everything was under $20 and the portion was more than enough for 2 people. Each of the entrees came with a bowl of rice. During the week they also have a lunch special that seems like a great option to try!

Cafe is located across from Woodman's in Colonial Court Mall near Advia Credit Union.

What an enjoyable experience! Beautiful decor and rhythm of music to enjoy with Marsala tea. Staff was helpful with our order and answered questions. Naan and tea not disappoint. Thank you for takeout!

I also tried the beef kifta kabob wrap with a side of falafel- delicious! They threw in an extra falafel as well, thanks! There is also plenty of seating inside if you want to dine in. My only negatives are they do not give free cups of water, you have to buy a bottle if you want a drink. And they only include one tiny cup of hot sauce with your order. Overall, it was a good experience, if you want Mediterranean and you're in Gurnee it's not a bad choice.

We dined in here a month or so ago and were the only customers at what you would think is peak dinnertime, 6pm or so. It was a ghost town. And not only that, but the restaurant was ghostly chilly too. Very cold inside, to the point that we switched tables to get to avoid the draft from the vent and commented to the employee about it. The tonkatsu entree is mediocre. The batter on the pork was crispy, but bland. It was $16.99, as was the small order of boneless wings, which come with a tiny side of coleslaw or pickled radish. A side of plain fries is $5.99. On our last pick up order from here too, the chicken strips were soggy and barely had any crunch to it. I fell in love with Bonchon wings (Chinatown location ) a couple of years ago when my daughter introduced me to them. Just a note, I tried looking at their food pictures on their website, but it kind of runs slow. Sometimes it would freeze. I think they need to fix it. I would return here to try other items. I would highly recommend ordering off their Malaysian menu instead of the miscellaneous. Don't order orange chicken or General Tao's chicken. Very cringe because you can get that literally anywhere. Get the Malaysian food because it's hard to find in Illinois. The owner is very sweet and the service is attentive. We ordered lor bak, nasi lemak, Hainanese chicken rice, hokkien mee, and kuih talam. Just a FYI, the portions are very generous. For 2 people, I would recommend ordering 2 dishes. Prices are reasonable for what you get. A pot of tea is $6. -lor bak 5 - I highly recommend this appetizer. It has crispy pork sausage with shrimp fritters, beancurd, and cucumber. It comes with two sauces. Everything was delicious. -nasi lemak 5 - I love the chicken rendang. The meat is very tender and it has a deep flavor. You can taste the spices that went into it. -Hainanese chicken rice 3.5 - I gave Penang Malaysian Cuisine a 4 because the rice was delicious. HD's version, the rice was not as moist and flavorful. The chicken was not bad, it's about the same as Penang's. It could be a bit more succulent without the sauces. -hokkien mee 4 - this won't be as tasty as in Malaysia. I liked the big pieces of shrimp, an adequate amount of sliced pork and hard boiled egg. The broth is still very good.
