This is my go-to brow place for the past 6 months! I went in after not going to get my brows threaded for probably 8 months or so, and they needed shaped badly. There was no wait, and only one worker in the salon. She took her time on cleaning my brows up and give me tips on what we should do to get them more filled out. They turned out great and I've gone back about once a month since. I've never had to wait so far. They also take credit cards and also have a loyalty program. Ever heard the saying:"Don't let anyone with bad eyebrows tell you anything about life"? This is very very true. Great eyebrows can change your face and basically your whole life. Are you ready for great eyebrows? Then this is the place. I had my eyebrows threaded here for the very 1st time 6 months ago. Now I'm a regular. Before threading, I'd been doing my eyebrows myself, and oh what a shoddy job I did. But these ladies are talented, quick, and generally friendly. I will say that the 2 older ladies seem to cause a little bit less pain while threading, but only slightly. Opt for the cooling gel. It helps with the redness and it just feels awesome. Also, if you have sensitive skin and tend to break out after hair removal, the alcohol that's in the cooling gel should help with that a bit too. If alcohol irritates your skin, skip the cooling gel. Instead you'll want to use a gentle cleanser followed by an ice cube or cold compress when you get home. Eyebrow threading is $7, and the other hair removal they offer is also inexpensive. They seem to be busiest when they first open. The longest I've had to wait has been about 15 minutes. So plan accordingly. read more

This is my third time posting & for some reason my post just disappear! So I'm doing it again so people don't waste their time & $ at this horrible place. This place is very rude they make you wait a very long time they push you services and push you to buy their product. On top they're very expensive they do not have their services priced written down anywhere. Worst part when they are charging you to ask you how much did you want to give. I went there in the afternoon and have to wait 45 minutes to get my eyebrows done. When I walked in, the lady did not greet me just give me a stare when I asked her is there someone else that can help me. she gave me a dirty look and said sit down. She took her time chatting having fun laughing with their regular client that was in to get millions of services done, when I was just there for eyebrows that could've taken her less than five minutes to do. I inquired about some hair things and they recommended $30 just to massage my hair with Indian oil which cost about $3-$4 for the whole bottle that you can buy at any Indian store. Plucked a few minor extra hairs after I got home, but I'm sure that could've been taken care of in-house if I hadn't been short on time. Overall, my brows are looking clean, even, well-shaped. I went in to have my eyebrows and upper lip threaded. I let the technician talk me into having my whole face done. Partially with wax and partially with threading. She put such hot wax on my face that I have burns all over my cheeks and chin. My face is so red, it is as if I had a chemical peel. I even told her it was too hot and all she did was put it on my face and then blow on my face. Absolutely ridiculous how unqualified this person was to use hot wax on a person's face. I don't think I'll be back. I took a chance on straying from the place I normally go since this place was close to where my BF was getting his haircut. I got threaded and it was quick and clean and looked good. However, this entire week my upper lip and eyebrows have BROKEN OUT SO BAD! I have great skin, breakouts are unusual for me and this is insane. I'm convinced the thread was unsanitary and full of germs that are now on my face. Ugh, gross. I came in to do my eyebrows, the lady wasn't too pleasant, did a half ass job, didn't brush my eyebrow hair from my face or put anything calming afterwards. The end result was not even brows. I always go here to get my eyebrows done because they are so close and affordable ($7 for eyebrow threading). There is one lady in there who makes the whole experience pain free and enjoyable. One lady, who seems to be there more regularly, hurts really badly but still does a nice job. And they always put aloe on after which is nice. read more

The people were really nice and I really wanted to like the place, but I am never going back(at least for waxing). I paid $55 for my a full-leg and underarm wax. The lady was nice, but her work was extremely sloppy and she got wax everywhere and left my legs super patchy. For a full leg they go less than have way up your thigh, which I thought defeated the purpose of a "full-leg" wax. She barely spent any time on my underarms. She put very little effort into my underarms and there was so much hair left under my left arm. She used an oil that looked and felt like cooking oil after she waxed me and she just kinda smeared it around on my legs. She definitely saw that she missed a lot, but she wouldn't go back at all. She used one side of two wax strips for each leg at most. I felt absolutely disgusting after that. I had wax and patches of hair all over my leg and underarms. And in the places that she did wax, I had stubble. As I ran my hands over my legs there was no smooth area. I feels like I shaved and that is definitely not how waxing should feel. Actually, my legs are much smoother when I shave(no exaggeration necessary). Waxing should pull hairs from their roots, but that did not happen. I took an hour long shower trying to rub the wax off and I am still sticky as I am writing the review right now. I feel embarrassed about my legs and underarms and I am not going to wear any pants that don't cover me up to my ankles or any short sleeves until I get my hands on a shaving razor. I regret going there. It was my first time there and maybe some of the other staff is better, but I am not going to spend another $55 to potentially be disappointed again. I wish I was exaggerating, but I really am upset. It would be so much more convenient if I was satisfied, but I am not. Maybe they are better at other stuff. I'm going to have to shave my entire legs properly. There is no area that they worked on that I'm satisfied with. I'm not super picky and I would be fine if there were a few hairs here and there that she missed, but this is too much. All in all I'm a tad bit upset. Definitely not worth the money. There are other places that would do a better job for less. I would keep looking. read more

Eyebrow threading was nothing to complain about and ended with a very pleasant forehead massage which convinced me to get a facial. Facial was so incredibly awful! She stated how dry my skin was and then proceeded to put a drying face masque on me. After that was removed she was done with me. No toner- though she had some on her counter. No moisturizer for my now superparched face Nothing!! It was shocking. Not even the massage was as good as what I got free post threading. Also, the "facial room" is not equipped with a magnifying lamp which I consider essential. This means there is no analysis of your skin. There is no soft lighting just your standard overhead ceiling light. The tech didn't speak to me not even when she put the masque on turned out the lights and left the room. I have gotten facials before and knew that they leave you during this portion but if you had never had this done before it would be even more uncomfortable than it was. The Queen Helene drug store brand products made me break out. FYI to the salon you are NOT suppose to double dip the wooden waxing sticks in a pot of wax much less leave it in as I saw in not one but two separate wax pots. read more

This place would not honor a coupon I had received at the Jewel the day before. They said that it was expired. Outside the border of the coupon, on the white part of the register tape was the date 6/11/12. This was the same date that was on the side of the rest of the coupons on the register receipt. I believe this is the date that the coupon started running at the store. Some of the other coupons had expiration dates, but this date was within the border of the coupon. Ive been getting my eyebrows done for years now (15+). Ive never had a horrible experience as I did at this place. I usually drive about half an hour to a place in lombard which i love but i thought why not try this place out because its closer to my house. That was a mistake. The lady (older, probably the owner) was so distracted she kept pausing to greet people who came in, answer the phone, etc. She was done in less than 3 minutes and when i told her they looked uneven she said no thats just the mirror. She ushered me out before I had a chance to say or look at myself anymore. When I got back to the car i looked in the mirror and my eyebrows didnt look touched. There were stray hairs everywhere, the shape was uneven and patchy. She didnt even trim them. She just wanted her money and to move on to the next person. Horrible customer service and horrible technique. For those who get their eyebrows done there I would seriously try another place and then you will have a comparison to realize how bad of a job they do. read more
