If you ask around the valley, you'll likely find that many physicians select Mayo for their care, and I think that speaks highly of both the medical knowledge and the professionalism of this group. Dr. Patchett is one of those old-school PCPs who spend time with their patients; I've never felt rushed during my visits with him. He also has an additional appointment with the Department of Integrative Medicine and focuses a lot on nutrition and exercise, which is great for preventing disease before it begins. If you have any sort of musculoskeletal pain as well, he practices osteopathic medicine and does manipulations, which my layperson husband described to me as "massage stretching." If you're looking for a new primary care physician and want to focus on wellness, definitely try to get in with Dr. Patchett!

Our last few appointments with the new staff was full of interruptions and more talking than listening, telling me the same thing you could find online or in a book. My nurse, Pam, was legit. So sweet, so friendly, and made sure I was comfortable. Dr. Gibson was just lovely. She spent 20 minutes in my room, actively listening and getting to know me. She assured me that she's set up her office to accommodate same-day appointments in urgent cases - love! They also do lab work in house.
