I used to love ordering from this store until I had to return something because it was damaged when it arrived. They initially refused to give a refund, offering a half-credit, and claiming they had sent photos of the item to PayPal in response to a dispute I didn't even initiate. I tried to contact them by phone, chat and email but I got no response, and this was long before the store closed for the day. Today I finally got a reply and was granted a refund, but the agent "Lexi" was extremely rude about it, saying "only so this matter can come to an end." Two hours later she made another rude response to a complaint I had made about the bad customer service at this store. Apparently she is the store's customer service department. She only came across as a bully, and if you have bought something there and are considering returning it for any reason you're better off just keeping it. Thanks to their horrible customer service, I won't be shopping at this store ever again. read more

Many cute dresses that fit well, made in a range of fabrics but I prefer cotton with a tiny bit of stretch. The girls that work there are all really kind and helpful. Right now whole store is 30% off and no tax :) They have a few items in the back that aren't their brand (Rails, Faherty, etc) but the dresses are all their brand and style (loud bold prints) lot of options... my whole family bought a dress and we wore them out to dinner read more

Winter trip means winter footwear, but fleece lined mukluk boots aren't really good for long distances. Especially on a forty-eight degree day. Which brings us to Mahi Gold Outfitters. The MRS decided a supplement footwear would be a good idea. I thought, "Oh my, not an Outlet Strip?" This would shoot the whole day down. This Red Barron wasn't going to let this happen. As we walked the charming Town of Chatham, I schemed, no matter what the price, she's getting a pair of "sneaks"! We entered the commercial area of Town & no more than 5-6 shops in was Mahi Gold! "How about this place?" I said. Her brows lifted with glee and immediately headed to the door. She said, "Aren't you coming in?" "No, I trust your decision and I'd like to take in the sights from this bench." SCORE. It looked like a really nice clothing shop and after 15 or so minutes I heard exactly that. She found a white pair of Deck Sneakers (Spring Fashion) on sale! Price was like I said of NO concern. We had our walking shoes and it only took one stop!!! Mahi Gold I am forever indebted. I got masks from them, a package of 5, and I called to ask if I could exchange 2 of them because the fabric was so thick I couldn't breathe. The woman was completely not caring of my dissatisfaction with the product despite me disclosing that I have asthma. She had absolutely no care in the world to find a solution of any kind to make me a satisfied customer. Glad I only invested in masks with them. If it had been real clothes, then my credit card would be denying them the sale. Buyer Beware, if they can't help me with a $30 purchase, they won't be caring any more with a larger purchase, and their stuff ain't cheap. With zero empathy this business won't survive, they must've missed the class in Customer Service 101. read more

I bought my first Mahi Gold dress while I was on vacation in RI last year. My reaction to the experience- both shopping and the dress, was very favorable. No regrets, I actually went online to purchase more closer to my home in Portland ME, but found none so I was content to order via the web. Last month I purchased $1000.00 of dresses and 1 top in one order. Paid on the spot, no waiting until order sent. Still no problem. A couple weeks later I received notice that 1 of the dresses I ordered was sold out. Disappointed but credit was given on my credit card so I was still not feeling negative. The following week I received notice that my backordered dress were sent via UPS. I received noticed that it had been delivered by UPS. I did not receive the dress and within 24 hours I called Mahi Gold to discuss. To cut to the chase, I spoke to Mahi Gold's customer service (Kate) a minimum of 6 times via the phone and once to a store manager (Jennifer). Each time I was promised call backs from the owners, perhaps credit towards another item, who knows??? What has occurred is that Mahi Gold has never been in touch despite the countless promises. I am disgusted with their lack of business ethics, their poor excuses, their lack of customer service and to me their dishonesty in being professionals. Despite their beautiful clothing, I would strongly urge anyone to be careful in dealing with what I now deem Mahi Gold as a dishonorable business. read more
