However, will go to the smaller stores 1st because of the people. In smaller they will talk and joke and take time to answer your questions and are just more personable. Route 66 has no personality at all. I actually feel embarrassed when I have to ask a question. Route 66 is a nice store with everything you should need for anything outdoors but wear a jacket. It's cold in there.

They had several fun character-themed rods for kids ages 4 and up. We also scored an amazing deal on Gary Yamamoto Senkos--buy three, get three free! It's definitely worth checking for their sales and promotions. We couldn't find the specific spinnerbait we were looking for, but the overall selection was still good. The store was clean, well-organized, and easy to browse. I also appreciated that there was a bench where I could sit and relax while my husband happily spent time shopping. You can almost always find something you just got to have and surplus prices are quite reasonable. Firearms, archery equipment, ammo, even mens and womens clothing can be found. Selections in all these areas are decent. They even have a rather large footwear store attached with an overwhelming number of boot and outdoor wear choices. Last month I visited and was incredibly impressed that they actually had items in stock that no one else in the area can get. I went to 7 sporting good stores that weekend trying to find black powder for muzzleloaders. No one had any. I almost didn't even bother to ask when I got to Bobs but decided to try. Not only did they have it, they had all kinds and a fair amount of each. I'm not sure how they get it when no one else can, but they seem like the go to place for the unusual and hard to find. Three stars due mainly to the some of the employees rudeness. I did meet one woman who was helpful in the clothing department. She was willing to look for specific sizes. It was when husband requested assistance about reloading supplies and certain caliber bullets that we were met with bored sales people. I understand they are asked the same questions by different people everyday. I understand that they have no control over supply and manufacturing problems, but It doesn't take much to answer in a pleasant tone. Frankly, we weren't the only customers treated in such a manner. On the way out to the parking lot, there were other customers were talking about how rude certain employees had been to them. It is doubtful that husband and I will return.
