I ordered a Christmas flower arrangement for my sister this past December 2020. Luckily she sent me a photo of the arrangement, since it WAS NOT what I ordered. The arrangement I sent had roses and carnations in a Christmas box base and what she got was all carnations in a clear vase. I would give them one star, but they did give me a refund. Writing this as a receiver of flowers. First of all I have to say this is probably one of the nicest arrangements I've ever gotten as a gift. It's so nice to have such a wonderful arrangement in the dead of winter. I also really liked the professionalism of the delivery. Mike had tried to deliver my flowers when I wasn't home. As soon as I saw the missed call, I called him back and explained that I wouldn't be home until after 5pm. Mike said that wasn't a problem and kindly delivered my flowers when I got home from work. I really appreciate this as often times when I am lucky enough to get a flower delivery the florist either waits until the next day and won't come out past 5, or dumps them at my door. I'm thoroughly impressed with Mahopac Flower Shop and will be returning to them as a customer! read more

Today I had a bouquet delivered to my 6 year old niece, and they were beautiful! The flower shop never disappoints, and they have super easy online and delivery ordering...it takes two seconds to get the perfect arrangement. Back from my own wedding, the owner is so nice and friendly and it's like he's a mind reader lol. Attached is a picture of the "florist choice", I believe it was a deluxe. i have been to the Mahopac Flower Shop two times now, i don't buy flowers often. the most recent visit i was buying an arrangement for my mother. the flowers were a bit disappointing, but what was much more disappointing was the inappropriate and foul language being used toward the two women working in the shop, from the owner. his words are beyond unprofessional and downright unacceptable. he refers to his employees with derogatory terms. it only took me two visits at The Mahopac Flower Shop to quickly decide to never go back, so save yourself the trouble of going at all. read more

This has to be the most unprofessional interaction I ever experienced. Called in an order for a standard simple arrangment shown on the left side of pic attached . Man on phone said ok we will have it ready for you to pickup , i said ok great do u want my cc now and he was like no you can just pay in person. Ok Fine. Pickup day : I go there and a lady he works asks my name and order and was like ok here it is.. and it was nothing like it. It was in a small fishbowl vase with ugly twigs and green things and purple flowers ugly sunflowers that took up the rest. I was like i ordered autumn awakenings. And she was like well somtimes it differs than the pic. . I was like but these are completely diff flowers and color scheme and size. She was like well let me see the pic do you have it so i pulled it up and she was like yeh i dont see the website, they do and pick what we have.. i was like so you have no lilies or roses or any of these red orange ones lke the pic?? & shes like im sure i can put something together for you hang on. So waiting and watching she puts together this mediocre arrangement . Like peach faded roses some closed lilies and some berry looking things and leaves galore but barely florals and just all wrong. See pic comparison on right. So disappointed but i was still there patiently waiting and then the guy i spoke to on phone walks in. So he says to her, "well its not gonna be 38 like the website bc you had to add more .. its gnna be 50".. . WELL i was like excuse me im not paying 50 for this. I am actually really disappointed i didnt get what i asked for at all and this is a gift. And he says back , i told you on phone flowers are not always in stock and may differ. I was like you didnt bc i would have asked more questions then... Well he then blurts out.. "FINE just give it to her for 38.. people are crazy today" He then comes to ring me up and is like ok its 41.18 (taxes) so i say ok and hand him my credit card .. he says with a huff. Ughh of course you would have a credit card!!! Are you kidding me you rude maniac!! You are going to insult a new customer on top of lying to them, disappointing them, and trying to overprice them. He then proceeds to fling my cc back at me and the pen and receipt. Flings it. He was so UNPROFESSIONAL AND RIDICULOUS. NEVER WILL I STEP FOOT IN THERE AND WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO NEVER GO THERE. Cant believe charging another $20 was more important to him than gaining good reputation and satofiscation of new customer. Pathetic establishment and should not even have a website since they dont know how to be that kind of business to use it correctly. read more
