It took me a long time to decide on a housekeeping company. I read hundreds of reviews. I decided to go old fashioned word of mouth and I chose Maid A Mess. Rhonda accommodated my schedule by arriving at 5:45 am on a Saturday to do the initial deep cleaning. She worked 45 minutes beyond the 4 hours and didn't charge me extra because she wanted to make sure everything was done to her liking. She didn't take any breaks a cleaned the entire time. She's a perfectionist and that's an awesome trait to have when it comes to cleaning. She did everything I read other customers from other companies complained about. She moved furniture to clean walls, floors and baseboard. She wiped down all the framed art and left the glass streak and dust free. She cleaned my dining room chandelier and the ceiling medallion above it. My hardwood floors look amazing. She used Murphy's oil soap and mopped them properly. There's no haze or film on my floors. I don't know what products she used in the bathroom but it smells so clean and fresh and days later it's still smells fresh. All the rooms of my house including the hallway are spider web free. She spent a lot of time on a step stool cleaning hard to reach areas. I'm actually breathing better because my entire home is dust free. I made the right choice and feel so much relief. I wish I had hired this company sooner. I didn't have to point out any specifics because covered everything on her own, but if I had to, her personality is so warm and professional, I'm sure she would've been more than happy to comply. I was highly dissapointed by the deep clean service i received. Rhonda and her team of 4 arrived at my home. It was a move in clean so it was an empty home. They spent about 5 hours in my home and it STILL wasnt clean. What was going on in there for 5 hours? My kitchen was barely even touched! There was dust in my kitchen, unvacuumed floors (when i vacuumed my living room there was 4 cups of dirt and hair!..the owner before me had live in dogs)...my floors are still dirty. I got on my hands and knees and cleaned the floors myself this weekend and the floors got clean with normal effort. My oven was also not touched and there was dog hair from the previous owners in there. It was pointed out prior to the start of their cleaning. I overheard her team busy complaining about cleaning and stating Rhonda could do it because she was getting paid more than them and I think it was this attitude that kept them from cleaning my home well. I am in no way "picky". I think my photos will show how bad it was. I really feel like i got jipped for $400!! And I still have to clean on my own! I should get some kind of refund. This marks a year since I found Ms. Rhonda on Yelp. Things were dire. I am losing my sight and my ability to walk and was completely incapable of keeping up with my house. I don't know how I got so unlucky despite all the good reviews but this was NOTHING like other cleaning services and VERY expensive for what you get ($65/hr)! The 2nd co-worker seemed to be new, didn't clean thoroughly and did things like put cutlery away one at a time (literally picking up one item from the dishwasher and putting it in the drawer- it took her close to 20 minutes until I finally said I would just finish it. On top of that I literally had to get up and show her where each thing went- making it pointless for her to be doing it because I was already up and there anyways, most people understand what you're saying when you give clear verbal directions but she refused to even attempt to see what I was talking about without me getting up. They also arrived 1/2 an hour late, and told that they were going to be late 10 minutes after they were supposed to arrive. I also gave them a list that they were to follow in the order it was to be followed. They didn't want this, they wanted me to verbally tell them each thing that needed doing, so I couldn't even leave without giving them directions. The directions I gave (especially for my laundry- no mixing towels with clothes, no mixing dish towels with anything, put all colors together and put all whites together) on top of this they put all my things in kitchen garbage bags- unnecessarily using the bags and once again doing something I hadn't directed. All of the issues that I kept finding continued well into the day and the next day - I would find things randomly underneath my bathroom sink, in my bedside drawer, found my purse in my laundry basket, things in my storage room- all which I never would have found unless I looked thoroughly. They also spent 2.5 hrs overtime, which they did not charge me for, but it was to make up for all the time wasted by the 2nd co-worker working inefficiently and not thoroughly as well as the 1st co-worker not following directions. I ended up having to miss my class and an important appointment because I didn't want to lose all the money I had spent to have them clean my place. They were aware of this at the time I booked them, at least 5 days prior. I don't know any cleaning company that would show up late when they are already pressed for time. Overall I was very disappointed. Perhaps the main owner got a new girl and both were frazzled/confused that day, I'm really not sure the reason, but all I know is it left a very sour taste in my mouth and I definitely won't have them back. Hopefully anyone that decides to make such a cost commitment doesn't happen to have the same experience. read more

The woman that runs this company is Ronda and I must said that after meeting her you'll feel like you known her for years. She came early but waited outside and let me know that she could start whenever I was ready. Im a full time college student and I have been moving in and out a lot, so my clothes and everything are mostly in suitcases or on the floor. I was looking for a maid service that would help me "unpack" and deep clean my room that was not organized in over 2 months . First Rhonda arrived on time and even a little bit earlier and just notified me that she was outside to let me take my time. Second, my room was totally messy that I could not see the floor. I expected complain just like what usual maid services do! And honestly my room was terrible.. YET, Rhonda never complained and even made me feel better about myself and she told me it was okay and she can handle it!!!! I moved in right after having a baby and cleaning was never at the top of my list as I tried to adapt to a new baby and an active toddler. Each room they cleaned was not only cleaned to perfection (every nook and cranny) but all nick nacks were either put away or neatly organized. There are some minor (very minor) areas that could have been better: a few sections of baseboards behind doors, top 1/2" of the backsplash on the bathroom sink and other such nooks that could have had more attention but regardless, my home looks beautiful and I'm very happy with the service.
