Scheduled another appointment with Style House after some friendly exchanges with the owners/managers. This time they sent three cleaners to my house and they really did a fantastic job. They showed up early (45 minutes early!) and went above and beyond in terms of cleaning... even clearing out this small balcony that becomes covered in leaves... definitely did NOT expect them to do that. Know that you'll have to pay in advance and have cash for tips. Excellent cleaning. I'll definitely use again. read more

Per reading other reviews, I think I had one of the bad luck days as well since my experience was similar as the other bad reviews on here. I hope they will adjust some of their process as the customer service is outstanding so if the actual service was up to par these guys would be number 1 on yelp. First, they are great at communicating. Easy to get a hold of someone, easy to schedule, and I felt very confident in the service throughout the process until obviously the end result. I was first told a different price when quoted than what was on my invoice and told that I would get two experienced cleaners to get the job done in a timely and thorough manner. Wendy did explain to me the change in service amount and all that was included in what I was getting and I was happy and expectant to have a great job done. Only one gentleman arrived on scheduled time and I was also informed he was new to the team. SUPER nice nothing wrong him at all. I called to ask about the second cleaner and was told he would do the same job in the same amount of time. Now our house is perfectly clean and updated. We are just moving in and wanted a bit of a deep clean as the counters were dusty, ledges, mirrors, hardware, just little details. But on entering, you would never think it needed a cleaning unless you ran your finger across for dust. When we got back-the only thing that had been done was the floors. Quite literally the floors are the only we paid $130 for, which the floors were already clean and we could have easily mopped ourselves. A deep clean of bathrooms was supposed to be included and LITERALLY nothing was touched. Counters had not been wiped. Sink was already spotless so not even anything to do. Showers not touched, glass and mirrors not touched. Everything straight forward not even looked at. Kitchen not touched. No wiping down of anything. I am 8 months pregnant so the whole point of this was so I would not have to bend down to do these kind of things myself. We had the easiest house, no ceiling fans, no hard to clean areas, the house was already clean, it just needed a deep sanitize and at least a wipe down. We are disappointed and will not be using the services again. Nothing wrong with paying the price, it's that we did not get what was supposed to be included or even close. I could have done the mopping of my floors on my own. My house looks and is exactly the same as when we left. My only recommendation to the company, as they did offer to fix the situation and have the gentleman come back-it is pretty awkward to have the same one person come back and/or to trust he would even do it correctly when he already had spent two hours simply doing the floors when we needed that two hours doing the other items that were supposed to be included in the service. Again he was very nice but my home looked the same and I don't want to watch and tell someone how to do their job if he were to come back and just made me feel uneasy. I told him the same information when we left for the cleaning so it seems odd that they wouldn't have someone more "experienced" come fix this and send me back the new person that did not do it correctly the first time. read more

Chose to book based on Yelp, but will not be using them again. Positive: Prompt communication from main office (Alejandro). Sincere desire to make things right. Negative: Cleaner was not given my phone number and made no effort to call me on the apartment keypad. She kept pulling at the door until my property manager let her in. When he did, she could not even identify me by name and simply gave my unit number. This is the kind of lack of professionalism that is annoying but not serious enough for a bad review in and of itself. I was out looking for the cleaner and left my door unlocked. She got to my apartment before me and let herself in. Not cool. This could have been avoided if she were given my phone number. The "cleaning" of the floor was a joke. I checked the work by wetting a paper towel and testing the floor. It came back dark gray. I complained and asked to have someone come back. The same woman came back and I witnessed her technique - using a spray bottle while standing (wouldn't even bend down to really get the floor wet), barely spraying at all, and then using s dry mop. Well of course the floor won't get clean. Most ridiculous of all is that the cleaner blamed the "stain" (coloring) of my floor. Alejandro quickly adopted this excuse. I cleaned the floor myself until my paper towels came back NOT gray. After twice "cleaning" my floors, it was not cleaned. I pay for this service so I expect the job to be done. First I'd like to start with the positive - Everyone was very communicative, professional and nice to work with. We had two stylists come to the house, they were friendly and checked in with me a number of times to see if I was satisfied. We hired Style House Cleaning very last minute, so while we would normally pay $160 with another cleaner, nobody was available so we paid the $260 and trusted the amazing reviews that our house would be sparkling after service. Sadly this was not the case. I really hate leaving bad reviews and the women that came to the house were very nice, but there were areas that it was clear they were in a hurry or not invested in cleaning very well. I asked them to reclean our master bathroom floor TWO times and it is still dirty. I watched her remop it the last time and there is still hair and dirt on the floor, the corners are filthy. The stove top has sticky gunk around the nobs, the interior windows we paid extra to have cleaned are streaky and we scratched some dirt off them this morning, there are still stains in one of the toilets.... over all just a really lack luster job. Oh and so random, they moved a bedside table to vacuum (awesome!! We like this!) but when they put it back it was facing backwards and the drawer was facing the wall haha Lastly, after reviewing the website to see the services that were supposed to be completed with a First time cleaning, none of our ceiling fans were dusted nor were the light switches cleaned. I'd have done a better job myself. I'm wishing I WOULD have cleaned the house myself instead of paying $260 + tip. We have guests coming today and will be recleaning parts of the house - it's disheartening when we were hoping to save time by paying a premium service to do this for us. read more

A truly awful experience... I've never submitted a review for anything, but this experience must be shared. ***NOT TRUSTWORTHY*** I had payed them (upfront) to come out this past Friday to do a deep cleaning for a home that has been vacated. The home has just been painted and the floors redone. The required (deep) cleaning was the kitchen, bathroom's and all the white interior doors. I met the supervisor Beatrice (9:30) at the home and she arrived with two other ladies. We did a walk through and I pointed out all of the cleaning I needed done. I gave her my number to txt when they were finished, but she never did. The service texted me they had left around 12:30. A bit of a red flag as that seemed very rushed for a deep cleaning at $415.00!!! Unfortunately, as suspected when I arrived back at the house I found they had missed a lot of the stuff I had pointed out and some area's didn't look clean at all. Then I noticed they had taken my cleaning products. I contacted the service and they said the crew would come back later that day, clean again and bring back my products. I got word that they came back around 5 and left at 6:30. The next morning I went to check on things, no one had been in the house since the cleaners came the second time. At first glance you would think all was clean as the house is empty, but on closer inspection I started to notice how many finger prints and grime were still on the cupboards in the kitchen. Then I noticed a bit of debris on the floor, so I started to sweep and while it wasn't too terrible, I did the same in the bathroom's and unfortunately there was more & hair, ugh. So I decided to do a mop test in the powder room and the pic speaks for itself. I was in shock!!! They came two times in one day and this was the result, wow. I did the other two bathroom's and the same dirty results. I was sending the service photo's as I was going room to room in real time and they accused me of taking the pic's before the house was cleaned! Needless to say I was furious. Then I realized they took the last three rolls of toilet paper in the house and left none in the 3 bathrooms! Alex at the service said they usually throw toilet paper and things away. huh?!!! Please! All the cleaner's had to do was to make the empty rooms in the home as clean and fresh as possible, they couldn't achieve that after 2 visits and 6 (stylist as Alex said) and $415.00 later! Cut to the next morning as I went by to water the plants, I noticed the white plastic trash bag that was hanging in the kitchen peeking out of the exterior trash can. I was still upset that Alex said they usually throw away the toilet paper (mind you it was still in the package) so I decided to look and see if what he said was true. Well I didn't find the toilet paper but boy did I get a HUGE shock!!! They took two small package's from the kitchen cabinet where I was keeping them safe for my friend's who just moved out of the house. My heart sank when I saw the packages and I truly had hoped they had just thrown them away. Sadly they had taken the contents and thrown away the packaging. I never told them they could throw things away or worse take them. Opening someone else's mail is a serious issue. I did report it to the service and Beatrice did bring me the package contents yesterday, but that still doesn't make it okay. Taking stuff without asking is stealing am I right? I'm so extremely disappointed by the whole experience, not just the bad cleaning job, but the utter lack of professionalism and trust. I inquired with them and had the cleaning crew at my house 4 days later. I have a large 4 bedroom house in Beverly Hills and my house was surprisingly spotless. I setup and paid for an appointment. The owner wrote several times to confirm that the square footage was correct. By the time I received the last text message saying that "2,450 sq ft is small for a 5 bedroom" I felt insulted. But I was willing to ignore that and proceed with the cleaning. Once the cleaners arrived, they immediately started walking through the house and "determined" that it was more than 2,500 sq ft and had to call their supervisor. In this particular case, we just had the house remodeled, so I knew the square footage exactly. Why Style House felt the need to debate the square footage so many times, and why the cleaning crew felt the need to argue with us about the square footage is beyond me. This is completely unacceptable behavior. (In the end I did email them the official county records on the square footage). As I told the owner, if you are going to argue with a customer, you at least need to be right. Follow-Up: The owner keeps sending emails/texts saying that we made the cleaning team feel not welcome. This is partly true, after being interrogated by email and text message about the square footage size, we were insulted when the cleaning team wouldn't start working and instead needed to call their supervisor because the house was "too big." So yes, at that point, they were no longer welcome in the house, and we asked them to leave. read more

I am very satisfied with Style House Cleaning and will definitely use their service again. Their customer service was excellent, very helpful and the team quickly responded to all my questions. When the stylist arrived she immediately took off her shoes and started to work, which I very much appreciated since I had different experiences before where the cleaners did not take off their shoes. Also, since my stylist arrived 30min late, she cleaned my baseboards at no additional fee and without me asking for it, which I appreciated very much as well. The only thing she forgot was to change the bedding of my daughter's bed. She might have forgotten it or overseen the bedding since it is a bunkbed. Nevertheless, no big deal. Our place is about 1,500 sqft and it took her about 3hours to finish. She did not come with a vacuum cleaner, so if you have carpet but no vacuum cleaner, maybe voice that beforehand. I am sure they will bring one. Hopefully the "style cleaning" (for regular customers) will be just as good or even better than the "style plus cleaning" (first cleaning). Very disappointed with this service. Showed up 30 minutes before we asked them to so we had to rush to get ready. Left cleaning supplies scattered around our apartment. Found a kitchen sponge that we use for dishes next to my toilet. Left the sink partially on in my bathroom. Spent less than 1.5 hours on my 2bd 2ba apartment and left without saying a single word after we explicit asked to be notified. I complained through yelp and asked for a partial refund or another clean. Refused to re-clean unless I payed a slightly less than full price for additional service. Since moving to a three-bedroom apartment, keeping clean of my household has been more difficult. Because of this, my family and I obtained the services of Style House Cleaning. Initially, we had our doubts on if we would be able to trust a cleaning service company, whether it be with the quality of the cleaning or entrusting people around our valuables. And from our previous appointments with other companies our doubts were solidified. Prior to choosing Style House, I had contacted two other cleaning services and both times the job was unsatisfactory. In our three-bedroom apartment, the balcony gets especially dirty, and both of the previous companies were specified to take extra maintenance and care in ensuring the balcony was cleaned. Upon completion of the "cleaning," the balcony was still dirty. In addition, the cords connecting the wi-fi and power to the television and computers were mishandled on both instances, causing further unnecessary inconveniences. However, from the onset of hiring Style House Cleaning the professionalism and mannerism in which they provide their services has been nothing short of exemplary. Based off a trusted source, I was referred to Style House Cleaning. A polite young lady answered the phone and she was empathetic of my aforementioned issues, and ensured me that all of her stylists were screened for merit and tested for performance. On the day of the first cleaning appointment the stylists arrived on time (always a good sign) and they were polite and friendly. After the completed cleaning session none of the previously mentioned issues occurred. The balcony was cleaned as it should have been, and the areas surrounded with cords were also efficiently and carefully cleaned -- no wires of electrical outputs were mishandled. The bathrooms were cleaned, all desks were dusted and scrubbed, windows were spotless and the kitchen area was heavily scrubbed (there was grease residue which required a lot of effort in getting rid of). Based off this impressive performance, I decided to hire them again to make sure this wasn't just a one-time thing in hopes of leaving a good impression. Fortunately, every stylist session following the first one was maintained with the same amount of care, performance and punctuality. Finding a company to clean your household with care and efficiency can be a stressful process, especially given the nature of the setting -- your valuables and loved ones often being present. Extremely happy with service - was very apprehensive about trying a new service as I've had problems with MAID THIS! - HORRIBLE, and others- and my regular gal who has been with me for years was unable to arrive last week and I had my father coming to stay for the weekend.
