For context, this was a 4-hour deep clean for my one bedroom apartment that included baseboards, organizing, and even laundry. I have a shihpoo who demands a lot of attention, so keeping up with deep cleaning can sometimes get away from me. When I say they saved my life, I'm not exaggerating. Kizzy and Alice absolutely delivered. They cleaned my apartment top to bottom. Baseboards, surfaces, floors, everything. They even did my laundry which was such a huge help. I stepped out to run errands while they worked and came back about four hours later to an apartment that felt completely reset. The space looked amazing and felt so much lighter. Beyond the quality of the cleaning, they were also just lovely people. Polite, helpful, respectful of my space, and they even gave my dog some love while they were here. I truly did not want to leave a negative review, but I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the service provided. Before booking, my husband specifically asked if they offer deep cleaning, and we were told yes. This review is based on a deep cleaning service, not a regular or maintenance clean. Unfortunately, there was also barely any light tidying completed, which is something typically included even in a basic cleaning service. For example, couch pillows were left messy (picture attached), and although I specifically asked for the area under our boys' beds to be cleaned, there was still dirt and toys left underneath. After I pointed it out, he did go back and clean under the beds, which I appreciated. However, there were many other missed details throughout the home. Items on the kitchen sink were left lying down rather than being put back upright (photo attached). Some drawers were not dusted or cleaned (photo attached), and spider webs were still visible on certain walls. These are all things I would expect to be addressed in a basic clean. When I asked whether the shower glass had been wiped down, I was told it had been. However, there were still visible water stains that made it appear untouched (photo attached). I do appreciate that they offered to wipe it down again when I mentioned it. As for the deep cleaning itself, none of the sink faucets looked deep cleaned, or even cleaned at all. In one restroom, toothpaste residue was still on the sink. I was able to wipe it off easily with my finger, which made me feel the area may not have been cleaned in the first place (photos attached). I understand that I could have done a walkthrough and asked for corrections before they left, but I found so many missed details that I felt discouraged and simply thanked them and let them go. I wanted to support a local business, but unfortunately, the service did not meet the expectations of a deep cleaning, especially given the number of basic areas that were overlooked.

The cleaning crew arrived at 9:00 a.m., and by 1:00 p.m. they informed me that only about 50% of the home had been completed and that they needed an additional $600 to finish the job. What made the situation even more frustrating was that I was effectively left with no choice. At that point, half of the house had already been cleaned, leaving me to either pay the additional $600 or have the company walk away with the job unfinished. As the owner of a property management company, I found this business practice extremely concerning and unprofessional. If the scope of work was underestimated, that should have been identified before the work began, not after the customer is already committed. In my opinion, this pricing approach feels misleading and unethical. I would strongly encourage others to get all pricing and expectations in writing before hiring this company.

What confused me even more was receiving a message at 5:42 PM asking me to call back to confirm my booking, when their listed office hours are 8-5. By then, no one was available to take my call or respond through Yelp because it was already past their office hours. Their AI chat is actually pretty cool and responsive, but unfortunately that was pretty much the only consistent communication I had with the company. For a house cleaning service where you're scheduling people to come into your home, I personally need clearer communication with an actual person, especially when the appointment date and time keep changing. Molly Maid of Long Beach seems to have plenty of good reviews, and I honestly would have loved to try their cleaning service. I can't speak on the quality of their actual cleaning because we never got that far. My experience is strictly with the booking and customer service process. Please work on the follow-ups and confirmation emails you guys send.
