NOTE for anyone and everyone who regularly patronizes this place: If you go to this place with somewhat regularity, as I do.... If you find Ali and Rida to be the nicest, most helpful, easy to work with people on the planet.... If you don't know what else you would do without this shop... If the Ditmars location of Mail Boxes & More makes your life better/easier (I know it certainly does mine, in making my Amazon returns process a breeze!!)).... Please please consider giving them a few dollars CASH every now and then, when you drop-off your free/pre-paid Amazon, Macy's etc. Ali and Rida make NO Profit when they process our pre-paid returns, and with so many vendors such as Amazon offering 'free' or low-cost returns, fewer people are using Ali and Rida's paid return services. All of this means a DECREASE in their profits, even though they still process dozens (if not hundreds) of Amazon etc. returns each day, at their shop. Ali and Rida are not the types to ASK for a small payment in return for their processing our Free Amazon returns. They are not the type to put out a Tip Jar. So the onus should be on US, to show our appreciation for them. Honestly, I don't know what I'd do without this store in the neighborhood. And just look at all their 5-star reviews here. Doesn't that also indicate how valued they are? Let's show them how much we indeed appreciate them, by Showing Them the Money! ;-) Seriously...I typically hand them a dollar or two, each time I drop-off an Amazon return. We shouldn't expect that everyone or most everyone who's reading this, is going to do their part and give them a dollar or two. But, if you agree these guys are great...if you appreciate the services they provide...and you don't know what you'd do without them...please show your appreciation! These guys are ROCKSTARS! I had a few amazon returns, and they were VERY patient as I got the correct scan code. For one of them, I had clicked on the wrong drop off option, and they quickly walked me through the correct drop off option. I ended up having to email them the return label, and they were able to quickly pull it up on their computer and print off the label. Even with a bunch of customers around, they were able to help us all very quickly. They also make key duplicates! read more

10/10. Came in when it was down pouring rain and the guy at the counter was super helpful. I bought some huge boxes and jokingly asked if they had a bag big enough to protect them from the rain, and the guy spends 5 minutes wrapping everything up to keep it safe. Having a 20 month old and running errands in the middle of a pandemic is INSANE! Having said that, a couple of days ago my husband needed me to return some pairs of pants for him and so I went to my favorite neighborhood place .. I left my daughter in the car with my cousin and baby niece and ran inside (all I had was the pair of pants and the return label) as soon as I walked in I was pleasantly greeted (we were all wearing masks) the man that helped me quickly put a box together took the pants and label and that was it! It honestly took less than 2 min .. not having change I apologized and asked if they could take my debit card for the $2 charge.. the man politely told me "no need next time"... honestly I loved this place from before this experience a couple of days ago but this just further more confirms that they care about their customers! These guys have perfect reviews for a reason! Ali and Rida have been helping me out for years during my 9 years in Astoria. My uncles have sworn by these guys for years as well. Kind, quick, honest and understanding gentlemen- they will do right by you! What you see is what you get - if you need something shipped, this is your place. I used to live a block away and went there a decent amount. Ali is a friendly guy (as is the other guy - his son?) and they can take care of shipping on any of the major carriers. They have a small wall of PO Boxes, which I don't use, but are a nice option. They also sell a few gimmicky things - cell phone accessories, printer ink refills, etc. Overall, they take care of business. read more

I shipped my boxes across the country through this store and to my surprise it was cheaper then USPS. USPS gave me a different price once I brought the boxes in so I requested a van back and some here. Not only these guys helped me get the boxes out but also taped it really really well (I didn't have to ask) so all my stuff arrived to the destination with no damage. read more

What can I say other than their customer service is outstanding While complimenting the owner and his son about the service they informed me that they are in the Top 10 mailboxes in business dealings in the United States. It did not surprise me. I am a large seller on Ebay so I am constantly shipping items using a variety of shippers. They always take the time to assist me with the best shipping rates. I normally deal with ups on steinway st, but a friend of mine took me to this place. I sent 2 boxes out and 1 box was scanned in the system and the other box is missing in action!!!! i called M&M to find out what was up? the guy tells me ups picked up the boxes and forgot to scan one of them. I call ups and they said the have no record of the box. Then he asks me whats in the box so ups can locate it faster. never heard any shit like that before!!!! He calls ups and they call me telling me that one package is out for delivery, but the other package is still in lala land. I will stick with using ups on steinway st. :( read more
