I found out last minute that I needed to notarize a minor travel consent form and needed someplace convenient and fast. I called late this morning and the man who answered was very nice and suggested I make an appointment just in case, so I did for 5pm. It was located in the Nob Hill shopping center at Snell and parking was easy. When I got there he reviewed the document and advised we use the official Secretary of State form, which he conveniently had copies of there. He pulled one out and it was pretty simple to fill out. I told him I had a hard time finding the form online so I had created my own using a legal website. He said the one online has been outdated for years anyway. The notarization and payment ($15) took about 10 minutes. He said to call him if I ever have questions about any other travel related documents like passports, forms, etc. Really nice and knowledgeable guy. I think he is the owner. I definitely will use him for any other notorization I need and will refer others to him. He sent me off with warm wishes for a great trip. Excellent experience!! read more

The owner has severe mental problems, we just asked a simple question and he freaked out cussing and starting ranting about how my mail is not his problem. Shippers beware! I have used this place many times before and always thought their prices were higher than shipping direct from USPS, UPS, FEDEX etc. (And they are, I have checked) I would shrug it off and use them out of mere convenience. Very close to my home and Starbucks. Their customer service was just ok. Well today, I go to drop off PRE-PAID UPS packages which I have done a million times. I would always get frustrated looks when I would do this since they weren't making any money off me. Well the gentleman tells me that they charge $1 per box now, because (get this) UPS charges them! Are you kidding me! It felt to me like he was just making it up. Well I grabbed my packages and drove up the street to UPS and dropped the packages without a problem. Regardless they are a drop-off location if they are in this business. It's part of the deal if you ask me. Just another way to scam their customers out of money. For a "mom and pop shop" this is a great way to go out of business! They will definitely never get mine again. read more

I am shocked at the customer service I witnessed today. I was coming here to drop off some mail I needed sent out. This is the closest place near my house. And I witnessed what looks like the owner of the store yelling at a customer. Moments later cops showed up and approached the customer. Turns out the owner called the cops because this customer had written a bad review. I couldn't believe it. I guess this is what happens when you write a bad review for the mail stop. Well mail stop... you will not be getting MY business anymore. I don't appreciate seeing that kind of behavior. A bad review should make you want to strive to do better. read more

Outstanding customer service. Used a few times for Notary, always friendly and professional. Had an inexperienced business reject a notarized statement, and even though it was not his fault (because he did it correctly), he notarized additional documents at no charge. Also, the first time I visited the shop a woman called who was rushing to meet him before closing time and he very graciously told her not to worry and to drive slowly and safely, he would wait for her. My elderly parents went in for a passport photo, and the owner /manager was incredibly rude. When my mom asked if she receives 1 or 2 photos, he began to shout anti-American and racist remarks. He said that he hated "people like us" who always asks questions. We are naturalized Chinese-Americans, and this type of behavior in this wonderfully diverse area is horrific. STAY AWAY! read more

Have came here a few times in past years. And always worked great. But was so irritated the last few times I came either it was closed because the owner was remodeling or computer was down. I even called once to make sure he was open, and told me the computer was down come back tomorrow. So I did and yet the computer was still down. Asked to come back the following the day. I agree the owner is the rudest person , I had the same experience that W.S. there was a problem with a shipment and when I when to ask why it was returned he kicked me out of the store ! he called me a liar , he said that he didn't have to help me and the fact that I paid $200 for the service was my problem. Of course I made a formal complaint to DHL, and asked the credit card company to dispute the charges since I didn't get the service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE TRASH! The owner is a really rude person having absolutely no idea how to treat his customer right. We used to bring our business there because of convenient location for notary services and drop-off packages. Today I went in this store with very tiny package to send and asked if he could please kindly tell me UPS and FEDEX postage prices for my package. Besides me there was a lady with a girl in the shop. He started entering all kind of my package information and asked me for the phone number. I was wondering why he needs the phone number for the price check. Finally he got the prices: $23 for FEDEX and $12 for UPS. I did not feel right paying that much money for sending such tiny package, so I said "Thank you very much for your help", took my package and was ready to hit the exit. Then the owner said to me :"You don't have to come back". Excuse me?! Is it the right way to treat your customers?! I told him that he does not need to be so rude and I have absolutely no obligation to purchase his services just because I asked for the price check and not agree with his price. He started yelling that this is a business and I have to pay. I told him I have not and if he has no idea what the business means that this is not my problem. He kept yelling at me "This is business, this is business!" . I promised him I'll leave proper feedback on the internet and YELP is just the first step. I'll also file a complaint with FEDEX and UP regarding this matter. Needless to say that my family never comes back to this shop, and I make sure all the people I know in this area are aware of his horrible attitude and awful customer service. The owner of this store is not fit to be iin business. I sent $120 western union and it was never recieved at the other end. The arrogant owner refused to help and said the only recourse was to contact Western Union. After 25 minute call it turns out that the store owners inability to process was the error, at which the process fee was $12.00. End of story is $132.00 and more of my time than I have to spare, I have to find another Western Union, drive there and get a refund, then resend to my original recipient. When I called to complain, the owners response was, "well then you need to go get your refund". No apologies or assistance. My suggestion, don't walk away from this store, RUN read more

I've used several private mail box shops over the years and Mail Stop is definitely among the best. The staff is helpful and friendly and I've never had any problems with lost mail or packages. Along with the expected mail services they do a number of other things including notary service, shipping/receiving/packing, document copying, house/door key duplication and faxing. They also stock a good selection of essential office supplies. Oddly enough, they carry a unique assortment of jewelery, purses, clothing, greeting cards and gift items. Although they are closed on Sunday, PO box customers can pay a one-time fee of $10 for a 24/7 access key to the mail room. There's always plenty of parking and they are conveniently located in the same shopping center as the "new" Nob Hill Food store, Starbuck's, Subway's, and several restaurants. If you live or work in the Blossom Valley area, Mail Stop is definitely worth checking out. read more
