I was having trouble with my 4 year old gas range upper over and after charging a trip fee and $'s for diagnosing with a technician on his phone, they came back with it needing a new control board so they ordered it, came back with it, installed it but in fact it was a wrong diagnosis, it didn't work. So he took out the new board and reinstalled the old one questioning if I wanted more diagnosing or just stop. But at this point with wrong diagnosis I was still expected to pay a half trip fee plus time spent. My range oven is still in same condition as before the first visit. My island vent hood motor went out. The model is no longer made but the part we needed was available. I ordered the part and Logan came to install as scheduled. After inspecting the hood, he determined that the job needed 2 people to safely complete the installation. We were scheduled for 3 days later. My almost new dryer stopped working and Samsung set up warranty work with main appliance. The original message said "10-2" for a service time. The next day I got a reminder of my "11-3" appointment "give or take 90 minutes". I said "so really...9:30-5?" Their reply was "expect us 12-2:30. I was having problems with my new Samsung refrigerator. The water picture would not fill. Samsung warranty department is the worst but Drew from Main Appliances came in diagnosed the issue and now it seems to be working just fine. He did great work and cleaned up after himself. It's under warranty so all it cost me was time. Wish Drew had been the first one to come out. The part that was ordered did not have to be installed. I had an appointment set for 12 noon -4 pm to have service done on my washer. I had already been waiting a week for service. On the day scheduled, I received a message on my home phone (I was out of the house) at 11:00 am that the tech was on his way; he would arrive in about 15 minutes. Another message on my phone at 11:15 am stated he was at our home, no one answered the door so I would have to reschedule. I called the home office, explained that the tech had come early, with no notice. I was home at 11:45 am, in plenty of time for the originally scheduled service time. They said the tech would come back at the end of today. They called me shortly after and said, no, he would not be back. I was rescheduled 1 1/2 weeks later, for August 29 - and they could not confirm it the tech would be coming in the morning block or afternoon block. I would have been grateful even to have to wait until tomorrow but they would not even work me in next week. This was their error and they did not have the professionalism nor the courtesy to to make things right. read more

Dealt with this company twice. The service man was the most pompous service person I have ever come in contact with. The first time he came he preceded to tell me how qualified he was in refrigeration and how he had to be licensed (or certified) to use certain equipment. Ok, well I would hope so. Then he continued to bad mouth the other company that had been out before to help me. Telling me that they did a bad job and probably claimed to do more than they did. When he had to come out again to look at my appliance he started right off by telling me he wasn't getting paid for this service call and that Frigidaire may not pay him. This service call was within the 30 days of when he last came out so should have been covered by Main Appliance. I really can't get over the lack of customer service. My Kitchenaid refrigerator stopped cooling, so I contacted Main Appliance. The technician came and tired to repair it, but what ever he did, did not solve the problem. I contacted him directly, he then ordered some sort of computer board to fix the problem. In just one month, the problem came back - now I'm told I need a thermostat. So far, I've spent 500.00 dollars for two service calls. I'm not sure how much more I'll have to spend in order to get my refrigerator working again. I can't express how dissatisfied I am with this company. I was told I would get a call last night to discuss the cost of a new thermostat - no call! I called today ( Friday) they're closed on Fridays. In my view, they should want to help fix the problem. My 500.00 is gone! I would never use them for any kind of service. read more

Greenway attempted to repair my kenmore elite dehumidifier twice. Both times they failed. When they delivered it back to me after the second attempt it was scratched and dented. It looked like it bounced around the back of the truck all day, and no it did not work. I wish they could have been up front with me and admitted they were not qualified to repair dehumidifiers so I could have called someone else instead of having Greenway destroy it. Josh from Greenway is one of the best service people I've dealt with in my life. Our fridge/freezer died on the Saturday before Labor Day. It was nearly impossible to get anyone to come out and take a look. Josh made time that day in between a full day of scheduled service calls. Unfortunately, we have a limited production GE unit that no one stocked the replacement electronic board locally. The parts depot in Chicago was closed but he had the managers personal cell phone. By coincidence, Josh was planning on being in Chicago on Sunday so he picked up the board and installed on Labor Day (which was also his birthday). There was no additional charge for all of the EXTRA effort and the price was surprisingly reasonable. He saved us in a situation with terrible breakdown timing. read more

After initially agreeing to a repair charge, I discovered that the service tech grossly overcharged for the part. When confronted, the excuses came fast and furious.
