Because it is unique and has entertainment at the mall--it is very busy. That's expected. Where I would say it falls short is in terms of staffing. They either don't have enough people on staff, too many new people who aren't trained, or staff that just doesn't seem to care. Management looks overwhelmed with the demand of business and it's hard to imagine they've even gotten adequate training. The vibe screams emergency promotions and necessity hires. Now I can admit that my view is biased. We had bad service and bad food. We set a VIP reservation and had to wait 1 hour after the reservation to be able to bowl. We were told we would get our own server (nice!). But that didn't happen. The 2-3 servers were so enmeshed with the birthday party in the other half of the VIP room that they basically forgot we existed. They got our drinks--delivered 45 minutes later. Got our food order--came out right before our timer ended. The experience was not enjoyed. But looking around--I think everyone felt that way. From the customers to servers, and management...just everyone having a negative experience. If you wish to go just for the arcade games or laser tag I think you'll be ok. We had a group of 16 and got 3 lanes. Lots of fun bowling. The food was good and service was pretty good. Disappointed in the laser tag though. 6 if our group and 2 strangers played and two of our groups guns would not work. I even switched mine out for another one but still would not work. We even tested mine and the other persons with two players on the other team and standing 3 feet away could not score. Told the attendant and he just said sorry. The wait for a table , we were told 25 minutes, it was about double that time even though there were plenty of empty tables. Finally took our drink orders for 5 of us, my son never got his drink. Main Event is simply another Dave & Buster's. A lot of overpriced games (you get a card, put money on it and swipe away). My cousin, her children, my son and I went. It was super crowded, so her daughter wasn't able to enjoy it. Our sons had a great time playing laser tag and a couple of other games. When it came time to redeem the tickets, everything of value was simply too out of their ticket range. He basically left with candy! Me and my son Went to main event on 1-7-2025. When we went in at 6:30pm there was not a person to greet us or even direct us to how the place operates. After wait in the prize area for 10 minutes that was unmanned we left in search of an employee. We finally found someone and we told him that we wanted to use cash to buy a card for games. He said use THIS machine. It was dead, it didn't work. Then as he was walking away he yelled out " use that one over there!" We tried for 15 minutes but it as also non-functional. This was very frustrating. We both felt like main event did not want us there. And it looks like we were the last to find that out. We will never return to main event. I have eaten here now four times and the food was been absolutely wonderful. The Smashed Burger Tacos are to die for!!! Their Pico Queso appetizer dip is off the charts good. My wife got their buffalo chicken sandwich and it was just perfect. This restaurant in this game room is a hidden gym in Fayetteville. I went to meet up with a friend of mine and her kids from out of town and had never been to The Main Event, and needlessly to say, it was a major disappointment. We ordered our food after letting the kids play for a bit; the food ran an hour behind; the service was as bad as the food; very dry. The games didn't dispense any tickets. And, yet, we let the kids continue to play and not spoil their time. I'm sad that this happened, because this was suppose to be a nice addition to Fayetteville. Food- The food wasn't the greatest we got a pizza for the table and then some boneless wings some wings had more sauce then others even though we got three of the same flavor , the pizza tasted weird so we didn't eat it . The drinks were good the kids loved the cotton candy drink , the service wasn't the best ethier it took over 40 minutes for our drinks and pizza and then an additional 15 for the wings . Price - the price was just plain EXPENSIVE I guess because we have 5 people but there were three kids and two adults our tickets were over 300 dollars !! I visited the Main Event for the first time today with my grandson and granddaughter. They had a great time, but since it was my first visit--filling in because my grandson's mom was out of town for the weekend--I was completely lost on what to do. When I asked for help from some Team Members near the kiosks, one told me to wait, walked off, and came back later. When I asked again, another young short black staff person she just told me to read the screen. Being pretty tech-savvy, I told her I didn't need to be told that, and she walked away with an attitude. I then asked a male Team Member for help, and though he also told me to wait, he eventually assisted me in paying my $25 and even invited me to the register to check the card balances. Later, my other daughter arrived, already knowing how everything worked, and we ended up spending about $100 on credits and a couple of drinks. Overall, my grandkids had a good time, and the visit was enjoyable--except for the very unprofessional interaction with that one impatient little girl Team Member. I would give zero but since that's not possible I will give 1. We got there yesterday to be with family for Fourth of July. And starting with problem number one we were using the kiosk to reserve bowling lane. I wanted to apply my military discount and it told us to wait for crew member. About 10 minutes passed of nobody being in sight. And as soon as we just decided to not wait for discount somebody magically appeared but didn't even approach us and walked away. Once it was finally our turn to bowl we had nobody approach us the whole first game to get our order. And still walked around and couldn't find anybody. Then our screen froze and we weren't able to start a new game. I was finally able to track someone down and our order took over 30 minutes to come out and some of our stuff didn't even come out. We finally found someone to start the new game but he only gave us 20 minutes back. I've been to many main events and this by far has been worse one. Customer service 0/10. We walked in to the restaurant, no one was there to seat us and no one was in any of the booths, so we sat ourselves and waited, and waited. I actually got up and went to the bartender to order, and she told us a waitress would be out, so we waited and waited again. Finally, a waitress came out and took our drink and appetizer order and then we waited 45 minutes for our appetizers and to order our pizza. Absolutely ridiculous service as we were the only people in there for at least 30 minutes. The customer service at the bar was not good! Upon entering the bar, the bar table was not clean and the bartender (Joy) didn't want to clean it. I requested it to be cleaned 3 times and finally the bartender cleaned it. My experience at Main Event Fayetteville NC Got there at 4:30 PM went on over and checked in to get a table to eat. The host said it would be about 45 minutes to an hour, great. It's a Saturday of course there will be some wait time. Got our check in time for a table at 4:37PM. I knew that we were going to play some games and see how long it would be to get a lane to do some bowling. It was going to be two hours before any lanes came open. Went on to play games and just check the place out. This is where everything started going downhill, 45 minutes in went back over to check our table status. Host said that we won't be seated until after 6PM something about staff shift change and not having enough wait staff. Shrugged my shoulders & just said Okay. Told one of the female staff that the ladies' room was a mess stall out of paper. She looked at me like I cussed her out. Said she would tell someone and she kept it moving, Okay. 5:56PM table ready text came in headed right over and sat down. Two tables were seated near us after our order was taken an 8 top and a 4 top. Got our drinks and was waiting on our food. We were seated right next to glass so we could see right into the food prep area. The four top got their drinks, then got their food Hmmm. Then the 8 top got their drinks and some wings. Stopped our waitress asked what the status on our food, she said I will go check. She came out not with our food but the food for the 8 top Hmmm. Stopped her again and asked about our order, I will check it should be up. This whole time I was looking into the food prep area and saw our food just sitting being moved every now and then by the person handing the orders out. 6:43PM our food came to the table as I watched out waitress grab the food that was ours from being moved around. Cold Tarter tots, Cold burgers, Cold wings, Cold fries!!! The only hot item was my kid's pizza. She said that it all just came up. Yeah Noooo!!! It would take another 15 to get hot food, again Nooo.
