I live close to Main Garden and it's always my go to spot for Chinese food for the last 5 years. They pack the boxes full so you get what you pay for. I usually go for the lunch or dinner combo boxes to get more for your money. I haven't pictured everything I've gotten here but anything I have ordered has always tasted and looked fresh and never waited longer than 20 minutes to pick up my order. For my college graduation party last year, we ordered over $100 worth of food and we didn't call ahead. We waited less than 45 minutes. Usually our go to for Chinese but lately the quality has gone down ( more rice than entree) as the prices have skyrocketed.

This place is a take out only place for us, it does have indoor seating but it's not super inviting. The food is always on point, no MSG and I don't think I've ever had a dish that wasn't great. Not super greasy, not dry, and the sauces are good. The house fried rice is a standard, as are chicken "fingers", the lo-mein, spring rolls and pu-pu platter are all better than most surrounding restaurants. Can recommend-it's usually a very quick turnaround from order to pick up, but those times have slowed slightly since Covid changed everything. It can be anywhere from 10-40 minutes for the same order depending on time and day. Solid choice for Chinese food in WMass. read more

15 years been eating here since in Southwick. Never have we had COLDER food ! Lucky we have air fryer to heat up our takeout. Called 1 hr ahead & asked to have it ready at certain time. From what I have heard, this was once New Main Moon in Southwick. We love the food. The crab rangoons are made in the store right in front of you. No pre-made frozen stuff. General Tso's chicken is amazing. Highly recommend. read more

I love that they don't use MSG. Always a consistently good meal with big portions and friendly service. There are a few tables but definitely a takeout place. They are almost always busy so sometimes you may need to call a couple times to get through, but worth it. read more

This spot over in Feeding Hills I didn't even know of until a few weeks ago but today I've been in and here are some bits you may want to know. One this is a dine in/take out so no delivery. Food though if you wonder what part of China is Canton East province which is a little bit from Hong Kong but the food isn't bad & also neither is the tea. Had a mixed dish with beef, children, shrimp & veggies & also another one but a pork variant. Had some heat but just wished a slight touch more in the heat department. There is no shortage of chinese style restaurants in our area, but Main Garden stands out as one of the best in town. The food is always fresh and delicious. They have many vegetarian options as well, more than the average Chinese restaurant. Try the sesame tofu or the ten delight vegetables. If meat and seafood is more your thing I would recommend the Hong Sue Gai or Butterfly Shrimp. read more

The food and service were great! I followed Main Garden from their days in Southwick, MA. I am happy to drive the extra miles to get the best Chinese food in this area. The restaurant seems to be very clean from where I stand while waiting for my takeout order. The food is always fresh and they are accommodating when I ask for a substitution. Was super excited to hear about Main Garden! My boyfriend grew up eating New Main Moon and we were eager to try Main Garden. We were not disappointed. We both really loved the beef teriyaki, which we were given by accident (ordered all day special E with general tso's but received golden fingers, teriyaki and boneless spare ribs), but no big deal it was delicious anyway and we'll definitely be back. Update: I've changed my four stars to five. I go to Main Garden once a month or so and it's delicious every time. Friendly staff. read more

Saw this place has five stars from my fellow Yelpers and we decided to give it a go because we've been disappointed lately with every Chinese place in Westfield. Plenty of parking, was easy to find, easy in and easy out. I had the generals chicken, the missus had the beef and broccoli and her kid had chicken and mushrooms and we all had the won ton soup. Everything was delicious, my chicken was crispy and fresh, her beef couldn't have been any more tender, I could've eaten it with my eyelids and the kids chicken was just as tender. The soup was ok, could've used some salt and pepper. There isn't much room to sit and everything gets served in to-go Styrofoam containers which I guess is pretty handy as the portion sizes are ample. The people behind the counter were friendly and courteous. Definitely will be returning. read more

We've tried Main Garden twice and both times I was not thrilled. I prefer my Chinese a certain way so this is very preference based- to each their own. The BBQ spare ribs are larger than your normal Chinese restaurant cuts them. They are hard and tough to eat. The teriyaki beef on a stick is extremely chewy to where you can't get a bite off. Ultimately, tough and chewy is what I'd refer to the meat I've tried. The quality just doesn't seem to match the price. read more

Like most other types of food that may be a dime-a-dozen in big cities, *good* Chinese is pretty hard to find in the lower Pioneer Valley. The original Main Moon was a hometown favorite of mine. Among friends it had a cult-like following for a million different reasons. The chicken fingers. The best teryaki within a 30-mile radius. General Tso's. The D-20 with extra pork fried rice. The old video store next door. Heck, the phone number and the smell of ordering take-out that stayed on your clothes for a full day afterward. Nostalgia be damned, it would turn out that the original Main Moon would eventually become the measuring stick for all Chinese food restaunants, period. After a disappointing trip to the original (now under new ownership), having the new location open up just a few miles away was a relief - and well worth the 25-30 minute drive. The menu is the same. The food is the same. The phone number is (almost) the same. The smell is the same. And I think I speak for many when I say that's how it should be. The only difference? The interior is a bit nicer. But for all the delicious meals they've served up for decades to people who may not fully appreciate the sheer quality and consistency they're getting - it's well-deserved. read more

We stopped here after Six Flags and I gotta say it's one of the best Chinese Takeout spots I've ever had and I've had a lot of them. Party of 6 of us ordered a bunch of combos and everything was good and came out fast. I personally had the shrimp and lobster sauce (dark) combo and it was flavorful without being too salty like most places. The fried rice was perfection and had that nice smokey wok flavor. Egg roll was good too. Crispy and not oily. We dined in and they were able to accommodate us. Decently sized for a take out spot with a decent amount of tables and chairs. Workers were super nice too and place was very clean. I would almost drive an hour and a half again just for this place. read more
