Crunchy Hunan Chicken Pork fried rice

Restaurant was sold, new owners took over just recently not the same great Chinese Food for the past 30 years sorry to see Ray go. This was probably the best in the area. The pork fried rice missing all the little extras like bean sprouts peas pieces of egg, Crunchy Hunan Chicken not the same sauce so sad. Have to find another restaurant.

It may have looked appetizing...it wasn't. Sad face

My partner recommended we go here for dinner as a change up. Ordered 2 meals. Chicken fingers with boneless spare ribs, fried rice and egg rolls. My partner ordered the triple delight. It was neither delightful or even passable. Everything was extremely greasy, the chicken fingers had slivers for chicken encased in gooey greasy breading. The spare ribs tasted off. The triple delight also tasted off, the gravy was gelatinous goo. I didn't bother sending it back. As there was only one server for the entire place with probably a dozen plus tables. I'm giving one star for her attempt to keep up.

Amazing Chinese! Expensive but great great fresh food! Hesitant because $14 a plate is crazy but was definitely worth it

Overall not a bad experience, but not the best available in the area. We came here on a Sunday and the place was empty. The restaurant itself is somewhat hidden in the back of a strip mall behind an apartment complex. The interior is a little run down with peeling wall paper, stained carpets, and little decorations/style. However, in my experience these Chinese restaurants tend to be the best tasting, so we weren't exactly disappointed. We were quickly greeted and seated. We ordered the items pictured above. Our server was fantastic, she was attentive, friendly, even though she didn't know a couple of the items on the menu well (maybe she was new) it did not have much of an impact on our overall service. The food itself was mediocre. The soup was a HUGE portion and we appreciated the fresh vegetables in it however the broth itself was VERY VERY bland compared to other beef noodle soups at Chinese restaurants we have experienced. The sweet and sour chicken certainly looked interesting when it arrived at our table, it was HUGE pieces of chicken. Unfortunately when we cut into it, we learned that the chicken pieces were actually rather small and were covered in a very thick layer of breading. The chicken itself was under-fried so it was just a mushy mess of breading. Finally the spicy shredded beef was actually quite good with good flavor, I'd order it again. Overall, not a bad experience, but far from the best. I think there are better places in the area we will stick with for now.

I did feel that the presentation could have been a little cleaner and a little more rice but the dish still held our tastebuds satisfied. We are both gluten free which can be difficult . We ordered their price fix menu which included salad, main dish and desert. We decided that was a good choice. The salad came with a lot of unsavory dead end pieces in it which immediately affects the taste and look of the salad. I would give that a very poor presentation with just a small amount of taste. The deserts that came with it were all gluten deserts. That required us to order an extra dish, the bananas foster which should be good. The presentation was not good at all. The bananas were not caramelized which is part of this signature dish and the bananas were mushy and tasteless. It came topped with ice cream. All in all a disappointing addition we had to pay for. The service was very good and I did tell the waiter of our disappointment with the bananas foster and he said " I am sorry" , I guess I should have asked for the manager but the waiter did suggest to take home the two deserts that we were owed. My husband would probably enjoy them. The cheese cake was very disappointing. It was dull, heavy and tasteless, I took a taste of the cheese parts. The apple strudel passable. They can do better. I know they have a large volume clientele but taste and presentation are key to returning customers at least it is to this customer and her friend. It will be awhile until we venture there again. Maybe they will take this review seriously and make some changes. I would suggest adding a gluten free desert offering to the price fix desert menu like flourless chocolate cake or chocolate mousse something if you want to attract a larger more versatile clientele. The redfish novelle is a very nice dish that I do recommend.

The mussels were extremely large (alarming) but we had heard that from other reviews. Ordered a lemonade that was nothing special, but server took our request for extra lemons seriously. Finally received our food, no crackers for lobster/crab claws. After five minutes, we asked again and our waitress had an attitude stating they were being disinfected. We waited a minimum of 20 minutes for the cracker, and asked for another. She stated it was one per table. What? We had to ask multiple times for water. The corn was actually served cold like it had been previously frozen. The potatoes were mediocre. There were maybe 7 mussles for what they said was 1/2 pound. There was a ton of shrimp, 2 pieces of snow crab (1#), some clams and a lobster tail for $80. We added another small lobster for $10 (special). Also ordered 1/2 pound (1 portion) of dungeness crab for added cost. My favorite part was the butter and garlic sauce which was tasty. They had run out of both lomein and fried rice, so we ordered a side of plain rice. In the future I might get take out, but seriously doubt will dine in again after such slow and poor service. Total bill was over $200 with 20% gratuity added in automatically for poor service.

It did come with fries, which was a plus, and maybe that justifies the price a bit. The fries dipped IN the bisque were good! Service was matter of fact with no personality behind the counter. It's counter service so I wasn't expecting much. I'd give it a solid 4 stars if you average my two items together. I've been a fan of Chef Momo since his days at Harbor View Hotel on Martha's Vineyard, where his talent was already impossible to ignore. Yes, he's the chef who cooked for President Obama twice, but what impresses me most isn't the celebrity connection. It's his commitment to seasonality, sustainability, and the people behind the food. Chef Momo doesn't just buy ingredients--he builds relationships. He visits local farms, works directly with producers, and supports local businesses throughout Western Massachusetts. That philosophy is the heart and soul of bNapoli. This time, my favorite dish was the Hamachi Crudo. Thin slices of yellowtail, cured with salt, sugar, and citrus zest, floated in an orange acqua pazza so vibrant it tasted like sunshine meeting the sea. Clean, delicate, and beautifully balanced. The squid tonnarelli was equally memorable. Tender squid folded into house-made pasta with a lemon tomato sugo simmered for three hours, enriched with lobster stock, Calabrian chilies, crab, and shrimp. Rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. My daughter's favorite showcased Chef Momo's creativity at its finest. Using a pâte à choux-based dough, he achieved a texture that seemed to defy gravity--ethereally light, impossibly pillowy, and delicate enough to disappear on the tongue. Paired with sweet roasted corn, asparagus, lemon crema, and crispy basil, the dish tasted like summer distilled into a single plate. As an Asian female chef, I couldn't help but reflect on how underrepresented chefs of color remain in fine dining. Some of the most talented chefs I've met throughout my career deserve greater recognition, and Chef Momo is certainly one of them. His food speaks for itself--thoughtful, elegant, technically precise, and deeply rooted in community. If representation matters to you, if supporting local farms matters to you, if celebrating extraordinary culinary talent matters to you, don't just talk about it. Show up. Make a reservation. Support Chef Momo. Western Massachusetts is lucky to have him.
