I would strongly caution anyone considering buying a vehicle from this dealership to do extensive…read moreresearch and have any vehicle independently inspected before purchasing. We purchased a used truck that was advertised as being in good mechanical condition and "clean and rust free." We were told this in the listing, in messages, and in person. We did take the truck for a short test drive before purchasing, but the mechanical issues and coolant leak were not apparent during that approximately 10-minute drive. During our hour-long drive home, the truck began overheating, warning lights came on, and we had to stop halfway home to add a gallon of coolant due to a leak. We immediately took the truck to our mechanic, who found multiple mechanical issues as well as severe rust that was concealed with paint, which the dealer later admitted to doing. This was not disclosed to us before purchase. We also discovered the truck had an emissions system deletion that was not disclosed, making the vehicle illegal to operate on public roads. The dealership owner offered to replace the rusted-out bed with another bed sourced from out of state. However, the replacement bed was not the same color and was covered in dents. We declined this offer because we did not feel safe driving the truck the hour back to the dealership, we were not in a position to pay for towing there and back, and after discovering the true condition of the truck and the undisclosed issues, we did not feel comfortable having the dealership's mechanic complete repairs. This is not a case of buyers remorse. We understood we were purchasing a used vehicle and expected that there could be normal wear and age-related issues. Our issue is that the truck was not in the condition it was advertised and represented to be, and that major problems and concealed defects were discovered immediately after purchase. At this point, the truck was not safe for us to continue driving and we were put in the position of owning a vehicle we could not safely or legally use. When we brought these issues to the dealership, they refused to take responsibility and relied on the "as-is" paperwork, despite the vehicle not matching the condition it was advertised and represented to be in. One of our biggest regrets was trusting the dealership owner's words and representations. He presented himself as someone with strong values and honesty, which made us feel comfortable moving forward with the purchase. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect the trust and transparency we expected. Buying a vehicle is a major purchase, and customers deserve honest descriptions and full disclosure. Our experience was extremely disappointing, and we would not recommend this dealership.

When I first did my research on Reel's Auto, I was a bit skeptical since the vast majority of…read morereviews were 5-stars and I figured there was a possibility that this dealer could have bought fake reviews or paid to have negative reviews removed. I can confidently say that after visiting the Chardon branch yesterday, I have full faith that every single 5-star review is well-deserved and accurate. I visited Reel's Auto to purchase a 2016 Ford F-150 from Micheal Ostello. He was more than gracious to me and my wife, answering any questions I had about the truck. He allowed me to take the truck for a few hours up to a Ford dealership so I could pay for my own inspection. When I came back and made a reasonable offer, Micheal and Dan did not hesitate to accept it and start the paperwork process to get me approved for a loan. Before I left, Micheal made sure to fill up the gas tank (about $100 in value) and program a second key fob for me (another $400 in value). I could not ask for better treatment from a dealership, going above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. My favorite part of visiting this dealership is that it is owned and operated by veterans who genuinely care about and give back to the community. Everyone who works here are down-to-earth and more than willing to sit down and just have a normal conversation about anything as opposed to the stereotypical auto salesman who simply wants to buy and sell at a profit. From my experience, this organization is one of the most genuine businesses I have ever had the pleasure to work with, and will most definitely be coming back for any future vehicle needs and recommending them to anyone else.

What an Awful Experience. I purchased a Jeep Patriot from Adam. He he told me he was doing this…read morefor 12 years and that he can sleep at night knowing that he sold somebody a safe car Bs . Adam Told me to come up that the car had already been serviced I get there and he says we suggest you not drive it it needs new brakes that they are smoking. 4 different tires for which were all dry rotted , water in my parking light lens the heat shield was supposedly dragging and making terrible noises when I backed up. If your buying under $10,000 don't go there they treat you like what you pay for . One problem after another I've had that car less than 3 months and it's been in the shop ever since ended up paying $500 for new spark plugs and new sensor for the gas tank which doesn't work and then we're going to charge me again to bring it back up when they didn't have it right the first time they don't seem to know what they're doing up there and Adam convinced me that there was no issues and that I would no longer have to worry now my check engine light is on. Adam is very arrogant unprofessional and very selective on those they are nice to. Adam if you think my vehicle is so safe and reliable as you said they are why don't you take my vehicle home to your family for a week?! you looked me right in my eyes and told me I had nothing to worry about that I had a warranty and that everything will be okay to trust you!? you're very arrogant & fake I will be reporting you to Better Business Bureau and your loan company is going to be aware how you don't honor their warranty.
