We got here about 8 PM on a Friday evening. It's in the corner of a strip mall and has a dive bar feel (I LOVE dive bars!) It was a little loud and busy when we arrived but we were able to get a seat right away and a waitress was right there to take our order. She brought my uncle and I samples of beer and we all finally ordered. When she came back with the drinks she also took our food order. A short while later another waitress came by and brought us our food and asked if we wanted more drinks. We ordered another round and another different waitress bought us our new drinks. I really liked this system. I don't believe we had an assigned waitress, rather there was always a waitress around and willing to help. We had excellent service. I had the cheesesteak which was just OK. I was not a fan of how thickly sliced the peppers were and the meat seemed a little tough. However, my uncle's fish was absolutely excellent and the fries were good too. My husband got the monkey burger and he was very happy. My tater tots were very, very tasty. The beer we ordered was really good as well and the price could absolutely not be beat. I'm not sure if they were on special but five dollars a pint for those beers is unheard of, at least in Durham. I did not expect to find it so cheap in Charlotte. We had a wonderful experience here and would absolutely return! read more

Came here for Thursday night dinner. Was going to go to the bunkhouse for dinner. But it was too busy and we needed some beers stat. Lucky there were seats at the bar here. Got our fill of Miller lites. Started the meal with the potato skins. So yummy. The veggies were super fresh. We had burgers as our main I took half mine home. I tried the sweet potato fires. There's a big bar for drinking or eating, and various table sizes to fit groups up to six people. The wait staff is always checking on you. You're not really assigned a server because anyone walking by will ask if you need anything. They have tvs for sports viewing and scheduled trivia nights throughout the week. I can't comment on the food, but the service is as horrible as it gets! After sitting down, I waited for 15 minutes and no one came to my table. The staff was very much interested in communicating with, who were apparently their friends or regulars, and could care less about everyone else! There was a family behind me that said they had been waiting for 30 minutes to get refills! I should have taken this as a clue! I've been a regular here since it first opened and within the last few months the service has gotten unbearable! I enjoyed the atmosphere of this dive bar. I was in the area and just stumbled upon it. The drinks were strong and my wings were good. I don't think I would order anything other than wings and fries and or fried pickles (sides). My mom ordered a Philly cheesesteak and it wasn't good or appealing. She ate half of it but she ended up eating my wings lol. I'd definitely go back. They have good drink specials and the staff was nice and patient with us. Burger was good. However, the fries were salty and soggy. The place itself is a sports bar, the lighting is dark and most of their customers hang around the bar. The booths were empty, just my family and I there and it took them awhile to serve us. read more

We went for the Mother's Day buffet. The buffet line moved quickly. Food was replenished quickly. The quality of food was not quite what I expected for the price. Nothing special. I didn't feel compelled to go back because something was so delicious. The restaurant was very crowded and I felt sorry for the people seated along the buffet line. The restaurant was clean which is very important to me. Our server was friendly and found out about ingredients because of our allergy concern. I'd probably return for a non-buffet meal. I have been here a few times before but never left a review. The server I had was great (keep in mind I got here at like 1130 am) the place wasn't real busy and I received my food pretty quick within 10 or so minutes. I decided on the club wrap. The wrap was pretty good but I wish it had the bacon crumbled in it as sometimes you get a bite that's more chicken and no bacon but it definitely did have bacon on it. Aside from that the fries are good natural hand cut fries they were pretty good. The server left ketchup salt and pepper with us so we could season to our personal liking and I liked that. I went somewhere the other day and the fries were so salty I didn't even eat them. Overall a good experience. I'll update this next time I come read more

I wish I would have read more reviews! I thought it was just my experience or I wasn't "reading the room" correctly BUT NO, like another reviewer stated I should have walked right out, they were not friendly AT ALL.towards me. As I was sitting waiting on my order, other customers started coming in, all of them were greeted and there was much more interaction with them from the staff. I was the only person of color there at this time (11am). So, my order was taken by an older short lady, I didn't get her name. I was asked if I needed to see a menu, but I already knew what I wanted. I ordered the 6 wings well done, Carolina gold and the original steak sandwich I wanted everything that it came with but I asked if they could add lettuce and tomatoes, the waiter proceeded to pull the menu out for me to read what it came with, I told her I understand what it comes with but can you just add lettuce and tomato "yeah, got it" she replies, what sides! I explained I didn't want any sides, and she cut me off and stated well I can't change the price. I should have left at that moment but needless to say they didn't add the lettuce and tomatoes to my sandwich nor did they cook my wings well done the steak sandwich was so tough and chewy I gave it to my dog. They will never get my business again! I relocated to this area after retiring from the military, and the racism I've experienced in this area is mind blowing read more

Karla D, is absolutely right. The owner, the short white female (older woman) is rude and I'm going to also add in most likely prejudiced in her dealings with white and black customers. I clearly noticed her biased service between my white husband and I, and she attempted to give me and attitude and I quickly checked her. Now she kept her distance from me and wouldn't look at me from that point on and that was just fine with me. Another family member of mine went there and also noticed how she continuously smiled at her white patrons and was snarky and frowning at the black patrons.
