Around 1 PM on July 9th the cafe was busy with several employees visible in the dining room. Only 1 of them was working. Meg did what she could while taking care of all the guests by herself. A couple of other girls were visible, one with dark, & another with light, brown hair. Their preoccupation with the idea that Meg needed to "do it all" because she was in the role earning gratuities, was obvious. Teamwork was nowhere to be found. While Meg was outside taking care of guests, the girl with dark brown hair was loudly & rudely overheard tagging one indoors guest with the nickname "Celebrity." This was the employee's response to a beverage refill request. It happened in the front of the house with diners onlooking, & astonished. read more

My partner and I popped in for breakfast before heading to the mountain. This is such a charming spot. Most house/cafe conversions feel cramped and awkward as they try to leave many rooms and walls in place but this spot is really well designed inside, retaining the charm of the home while feeling spacious and open. The food was delicious, too! My BF has the Huevos Rancheros with chorizo and absolutely loved it. His "tell" for a good huevos is whether or not the tortilla is soggy or crisp and this one was perfectly crisp with loads of flavor piled on between the beans and chorizo and sauce, etc. I had the bennie special: sautéed mushrooms, spinach and Brie ....so so yummy! I had the Hollandaise on the side because you never know and it was absolutely perfect! Dipping my fork in the sauce before scooping up a bite was fantastic! They have a standard coffee shop menu with the addition of a flat white, and alternative mills include soy & almond. Loved the service, the ambiance and the food! Right in the downtown area it's walkable with free street parking everywhere. I highly recommend this spot! read more

I abso0lutely love this restaurant. It is a old house turned restaurant and it is so great. It is beautiful and quaint on the inside with a very simple menu- just the way I like it. Some people like more options and I don't because it is easier to decide this way. I also like a more simple menu- especially at restaurants like this- because the food is so freshly made. I got hash browns with my meal and you could tell it was fresh. They weren't from a bag they were homemade. I had the west coast eggs Benedict with salmon, avocado and red onion on a cheese and chive biscuit with homemade hollandaise and it was amazing! read more

Nice espresso machine in the back - you can just come in for a take-out coffee as well. The dining room is the south facing parlour of an old character house, which is bright and cheerful and filled with gorgeous local paintings (for sale). Patio is open in the summer. I'm temped to give this place 5 stars and but I didn't get what I ordered. The girl who served us did offer to make a new coffee, but I decided to stick with what I got. But still the staff here is great and friendly. I left my camera here and they kept it on the side for me. As for the cafe itself it's a little house on the corner, that is converted into a cafe, so naturally has that homey feel to it. I loved the great ambiance, and the huge coffee menu. Lot of seating and patio. I would highly recommend this place if you are on the road and decide to stop for a brunch or coffee. read more

This place gets 4 stars mostly for the location and atmosphere. The food is pretty good, but nothing really to write home about. I my favorite part of this place is the patio, but be prepared to sit inside if you arrive too late in the morning :) The coffee is very good, and I remember the one time I managed to be there when they were offering their eggs benny, they were quite good. I would recommend that, or one of their open-faced breakfast sandwiches. I have less experience with the lunch menu, but from what I remember things there looked equally appealing. read more

We were going to stop elsewhere but there was limited seating at the other restaurant and this place looked so inviting with the tables on the patio. I ordered the banh mi with soup, my husband got the fish tacos with Caesar salad ($2.25 extra) and my kids shared a quesadilla. I loved my food, the kids loved theirs as well, but the fish tacos had a strange aftertaste and the Caesar salad was wilted. My husband complained about his salad after the fact, and the waitress just said she would tell the chef. Otherwise, a good place to eat for lunch in Revelstoke. read more
