The name has changed to chesterfield and the menu is a bit upgraded. We had a clarified old fashioned which was spectacular and a sour beer that was smooth but not as tarty as I like. The bison burger was exceptional with a balsamic mayo! The grilled hearts Caesar salad was fantastic! Seating can be sunny and on the street, shady on the back patio or in the inviting interior of the restaurant. Jasmine was an exceptional server!

    Chesterfield Prime Salad.

Chesterfield has the town's best prime (number) salad. It's virtually complementary and complimentary to anything else you might order from kaylaaa who has a knack for rattling off prime numbers on kindly delivered commands.

Loved this place. Really good food imo. The burger, poutine, pie, and ice cream all exceeded my expectations. Good beer selection. Good service. This, however, was the only place I ate at in Revelstoke so I do not have much to compare it to. But, still slapped.

Passing through Revelstoke and looked at reviews for a place for dinner tonight. Despite mixed reviews, we chose Chubby Funsters with the fun name and menu list. We went early enough that it wasn't busy and were seated out on the patio. The patio is casual but nice and comfortable with a breeze. If you can handle the gnats and occasional flies, it is nice. Our server was attentive as soon as we were seated, taking drink orders, and then food orders when she brought the beverages. After 45 minutes more of not being able to get her attention, I wanted to believe she had more tables than she could handle. We had been seated for 55 minutes when the manager brought our meals. The poutine was fine, nothing remarkable. The burger was burnt and dry. It was ordered with cheese but came with bacon. When we asked the manager, her response was, "oh cheese and bacon are next to each other on the screen." She did ask if we wanted it made fresh but another hour was not going to work for us, so we kept what we had. No apologies nor discounts offered. After we finished our meal, our server did show to ask how the meal was. When we mentioned the burger, she said she made a mistake and asked if we wanted anything else, but we asked for the check. I'll go check out their sister restaurant next time. We should have paid heed to the mixed reviews. Meh.

Burger with fried pineapple, provolone cheese, and bacon. In the back is a PB&J burger with tots.

In the front, a burger with fried pineapple, provolone cheese, and bacon added on! In the back is a PB&J burger with tots! We also order the poutine. Everything was delicious. The service and atmosphere was great. We ate out on the patio but the inside was really unique too.

It was a top of the list in Yelp so we tried. Fabulous atmosphere and food. In the heart of downtown Revelstoke. We sat at the patio outside and it was beautiful with vibrant flowers and greens. We had a local beer and poutine. Great taste and loved them!!! Our server was very friendly and attentive. Five stars!!!

We ate at this restaurant twice while we were in town. In both instances we sat at the bar and the service was excellent. The bartenders were very friendly and did a great job. The first time I was there I ordered the Pulled Chicken on pita bread. It was just ok. I wouldn't order it again to be honest. I think it was supposed to have BBQ sauce on in it but there wasn't any. I didn't say anything either. My husband ordered the Pb and J burger even though it sounds kind of weird he said it was quite good. The second time I ordered the zucchini pasta salad. It was awesome. It had feta, dried tomatoes, and the "pasta" part was zucchini. I think it had some other stuff in it too but I can't remember. Nevertheless I would order it again. For our appetizer we ordered the cheese curds, Oh so good! They were super fluffy and came with gravy. I could have ate a second order. Lastly, we ordered the bread pudding for dessert. It was great! super tasty. My only other complaint was the margarita I ordered, was not awesome. That being said, the only place in town that had a good one was at the Mexican restaurant.

Located in their quaint downtown district, we stumbled upon the restaurant based on how appealing it looked compared to their neighbors across the street. A very casual sports bar feel, without loads of TVs. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the employees were all very friendly and accommodated our rush order. I really wanted to try their gnocchi dish, but was sad to hear that the seasonal item has left the menu. I ordered the grilled chicken pita for convenience, and we had a sweet corn appetizer to start us off. The corn looked simple, but it was really good! For such a simple dish, it was wonderful! The sauce accompanying the corn was what made it so delicious, whatever that magical concoction was, it really hit the spot. My pita, was filled with an assortment of veggies and sides, the chicken was seasoned perfectly, and I liked the sauces and flavors that blended perfectly. Everyone was very attentive! You won't be disappointed with the service you will receive! Good food, good service, what's not to like!

We were skiing at Revelstoke and the dining options are limited on the mountain so we drove 10 minutes to town and used Yelp to find Chubby Funsters. Interesting decor, friendly staff and great food. We all ended up ordering burgers but there we were also tempted by a chicken and sausage gumbo and the Alfredo pasta. I ordered the bison burger and the house salad. Both the burger and the salad were really good. My partner had the burger special which was stuffed with all kinds of toppings including a lamb bacon, gruyere cheese and pastrami. A creative combination and all of the flavours complemented each other. Next time we are in Revelstoke we will definitely go back here.

We were seated right away, water was provided, and menus were also provided. We weren't that hungry, so we ordered a main to share, a starter, and a side. Our steak came out perfectly rare. It definitely didn't need the shishito butter. Their homemade ketchup for the fries was delicious though. All the sauces for the Arctic Char Croquettes complimented the fish very well. The Broccolini was also good. Although if you aren't a fan of sour/tartness like we are, you might not enjoy these particular starter and side. Service was very good throughout our dining experience. Our server even had a nice little conversation with us about road tripping across Canada since she had done it a few times herself. It's very stylish and upscale-looking inside, but didn't feel pretentious or uncomfortable at all. Looks like a great spot for cocktails if you're into that.

I'm a cheesecake fan, and I have had some good cheesecakes, including The Cheesecake Factory. This one was perfection. The main cheesecake was super creamy and soft. It was lightly sprinkled with gram crust. This was a great idea, no thick crust ruining the cheesecake to crust ratio. Then they topped it off with fresh blueberries and a blueberry sauce. Plus they added a tasty stained glass candy to make it look cool. Delicious....

The bus depot is at a convenience store which has a motel attached and this restaurant. Many folks slept on the bus the first night but some of us checked into the motel. The motel needs a lot of updates but I was happy to be sleeping in a bed and not upright in a bus seat. Also, the market really needs to be cleared out and restocked. Very random selection of merchandise. The next night a lot more people checked into the motel and some more adventurous kids took the 20 minute walk into the downtown area in the snow to crash at hostels or other hotel options. The bus company paid for four meals from Ol' Frontier for each person so we got pretty acquainted with the restaurant. I like their corned beef hash breakfast. Not a fan of their bacon and the pizza is just okay. The wait staff is great, however, don't come hungry because they are not assigned tables so even if you got there first someone who came in after you could get their order in and food first. I guess I didn't mind too much because I had nowhere to be. The fireplace in the dining area of the restaurant was my hangout spot for most of the 36 hours being stuck in town. Revelstoke is gorgeous. I look forward to returning when I can come and go without worry that the bus will leave me behind. I want to come back and check out the epic mountain and skiing I hear about. Maybe I'll stop by Ol' Frontier for a beer.

They were very generous on the cheese curd which was really nice. Seating can be hard to find given the restaurant isn't very big. There are seatings outside as well. Most people eat and then leave.
