It's the only card shop my boyfriend and I purchase from…read more The staff is extremely knowledgeable and they have a huge selection of cards, which are priced based off of their current market value (per TCGplayer, I believe), meaning you won't end up overpaying for what you purchase. Nowadays, so many card shops and vendors are beginning to list their product above market, but we've gone to Trainer Center for years and they've never done this! The pricing is always fair and this, combined with their HUGE selection of singles, is why we only shop here. Love this place!

I will say these guys have not been corrupted by greed like the LGSs out in the inland empire where everything is sold at 10-25% above market and bought at 60%. The owner who goes by "Chef" offered me 80% on my sealed collection which is very fair and even went as far as pricing out an up to date list on each item I brought in. Everyone I saw walk in greeted Chef by name and seemed genuinely happy to see the guy. It was a very pleasant and welcoming environment.

Walking into this shop as a person who knows absolutely nothing about Pokémon cards felt a little…read morelike walking into a foreign country... where everyone speaks fluent Pikachu and I only know how to say "uh... this one looks shiny" My 9 year-old son recently got into Pokémon cards, and when I realized this shop was right near our house, I stopped in to grab a few packs. They had blind packs where you could win a graded card, and I made the bold parenting move of promising my son we'd come back the next day to open it in store, which, in taking your kids anywhere means you're probably buying more stuff. When we came back, Mark (the owner) didn't just help... he fully embraced my son's excitement like it was the highlight of his day. He answered question after question, the kind of rapid-fire, deeply specific, extremely serious questions that only a 9-year-old Pokémon enthusiast can ask with genuine enthusiasm, patience, and kindness. He also took the time to show my son how to look up the value of the cards online. And let me be clear... there were a LOT of questions. Like... enough questions that I started learning things myself and now feel slightly more qualified to nod confidently when my son talks about grades and anything other than Pikachu. Even though the store was packed, Mark made every person feel like they were the only customer there. No rushing, no brushing anyone off , just pure enthusiasm, kindness, and a welcoming knowledge. It's rare to find a place that isn't just a store, but actually feels like a little community hub. My son walked out feeling excited, proud, and already asking when we can go back... which tells me everything I need to know. If you're looking for Pokémon cards, sports trading cards, or just a place where kindness still exists and kids are treated like VIPs, this is it. 10/10 would absolutely return... and next time I might even know what I'm buying...maybe...and even not I know I'll be returning and buying. something

They said they give 50% of what they're worth and then cards that are worth less than a specific amount. They only give you like $.12 or $.15 and I was OK with that, but they didn't say anything about that had to be ultra rare and have a star on the bottom versus having a diamond or a circle, so I wasted my time and my gas and within 30 seconds the guy goes thanks for coming by, but we're not interested. I was very disappointed that I was told one thing and when I got there, it was completely different.
