*Updating my review to something more neutral but still reflects my experience. I found out that this store's short staffed and that's probably why there's a lack of clear communication. I hope they're able to get the help that they need to help support their community, but I still stand by the frustration experienced when attempting to reach out multiple times.* I've spent a good amount of time calling this store trying to get ahold of a worker for clarification on a tournament they are holding. The phone doesn't even fully ring before you get sent to voicemail so I want to assume they're declining the call, but hopefully I'm wrong. Called since their opening and between the hours and still no luck talking to someone. They don't respond to their socials either. This feels very unwelcoming to new folks trying to stop by and support their shop. Unfortunately I cant comment on anything else from this shop as this was enough to deter me and my friends from wanting to visit, but it's great to hear from their community about their situation which clearly means their locals are happy playing there. read more

Amazing staff and super chill environment. You can tell the people here have a lot of friends here in the community. They host a lot of cool events and tournaments and the owner is really nice. I saw him give kids some "help" getting their grail cards multiple times. He's a kid at heart so he always tries his best to help their eyes light up. I always go here to check out their new Gundam models even though they're mainly known for their TCG and other collectables. If you're looking for TCG, always come early and speak to the staff about what they have coming in because you guys know the struggles are real right now! read more

I had heard about this place a few months ago and when my son stopped playing Pokemon, just kinda filed it in the back of my head. Just as sudden as he stopped with Pokemon, he started with Yu-Gi-Oh. Being a former Magic player myself, I had always heard the horror stories about the overly aggressive YGO community. As he bought a starter deck and started to learn how to play the game, I decided to finally stop in to Sugoi on our way home one day. Was met with an incredibly friendly staff in a quant little store filled with tables and inventory to satisfy any tcg nerds needs. Was surprised when the staff took their time to sit with my kid and went over the basic mechanics of the game and how to play his deck. Meanwhile, the community within also seemed to embrace a new YGO player and did not seem to throw any attitude or "holier than thou" mindset as I had always heard about. Prices are fair and they seem to have a huge singles inventory in the back of the store to pull from. Overall, this store and it's community is like a breath of fresh air for a TCG store. I could not recommend it higher and really appreciate how Sugoi takes care of it's customers and fosters a welcoming environment. Highly recommend, will be back for sure. read more

Review is based only on Shadowverse Evolved. Everyone here is friendly and the prices for individual cards are really good, they even price-matched TCGPlayer for me once when I asked. Pretty good turn out for the weekly Saturday Shadowverse tournaments at 1:30. Also, the tournaments are generous for prizing unlike Top Spot. They start a little later though to give people time to come if they're late so it is never exactly at 1:30. Other players who join have all been friendly and chill people too. read more

Came in for the store's One Piece treasure cup during November, had some questions for the TO. They didn't receive their participation items yet and had to pull back the event. TO handled it the best way possible given the circumstances, been going here for awhile. Kudos for them for being transparent and setting expectations, hoping moving forward their mailing courier is able to get their packages and items arrive on time. They're honest people trying their best to give back to the community and new players. Parking is pretty large, wild selection of games (magic, One Piece, Pokemon products and singles). They run multiple Bandai IP Card Games along with Magic: Commander, Yugioh for their locals and events. read more

Usually have a good selection of new and old stuff at good prices. They also have a lot of tournaments weekly including street fighter. Don't come here for Pokemon prerelease events. I understand that they did not receive a lot of build and battle kits to accommodate everyone but here's where I observed a couple shady business practices: 1) A store worker told me they were starting signups at 2 PM for the 3 PM event. When I had arrived before 2 PM, there were nearly 40 names on the signup sheet which means they had been taking signups much earlier in the afternoon. They knowingly had less than two dozen kits to host the event and probably had around 50-60 total signups to fill their list. In comparison, a nearby store on social media posted their prerelease was sold out several hours before the start of their event. 2) One of the store employees who was announcing roll call said they were "present" for the tournament, effectively taking up one slot that should have been for another customer. Sounds pretty immoral to me. I had high hopes for this place since I've been a customer in the past and attended what I thought were good prize support weekly tournaments. I won't be visiting here anymore and will tell my friends to avoid this place. read more

I love coming to this shop to see what new things they get. I usually come here to get my pokemon elite trainer boxes. They have a good variety of trading card games like yugioh, digimon, and a few others I believe. They also got pretty cool gundams and I heard they host Gundam night at the shop where people come to build gundams together and just have a good time. I couldn't make it to the last one, but the event looked fun on their story. The staff is also very friendly so feel free to ask any questions or if they don't have it in store maybe they can order it for you as well. Attended a Digimon pre-release event. It was a nice surprise thatthere were more people than I was expecting since Digimon locals tend to have low attendance depending on location in my experience. People were friendly and I was even lucky enough to get a textured secret rare in one of my packs. Altogether, a pleasant experience. read more

Don't come here unless you want to be overcharged for a Pokemon pack... 10$ for one pack of paldean fates is crazy. Right now, it's listed on tcg for 4.79 and our local shop sells to us for 6! My brother recommended me this shop since we recently collect Pokémon cards. I use to go to target and they were always out. Then whenever I go to frank n son most of the booth have their stuff at a premium. What I like about sugoi was they didn't try to upcharge me of products. They also gave me a good deal for buying more so that is always appreciated. I come every few weeks to see what they have and they been getting a good amount of products in. I see that they recently got Digimon cards that look pretty awesome if you are into that. I brought my friend and he said their gundams are pretty cool and hard to find around here.
