I never went there to play any games but I called them on the phone and I spoke to Ian about selling my cards. They said they give 50% of what they're worth and then cards that are worth less than a specific amount. They only give you like $.12 or $.15 and I was OK with that, but they didn't say anything about that had to be ultra rare and have a star on the bottom versus having a diamond or a circle, so I wasted my time and my gas and within 30 seconds the guy goes thanks for coming by, but we're not interested. I live in Irvine, so initially I was trying to find somewhere close to home. I visited a few of the shops in the area, but none offered the service and patience as Paper Hero's Games. The shop is very welcoming and open to new and beginning players. They have an extensive catalog of various games including, board games, card games (MTG, Lorcana, Pokémon, yu-Gi-oh), and demo games. They have ttrpg accessories, and minifigures, galore. The staff proceed to make me feel nurtured when I enter the building.
