This is a "MUST" place to try if you're in Brownsville. We stopped by for early lunch on a Wednesday and everyone greeted us and approached us as we glanced at the menu. Very friendly and attentive staff. Place is clean and very tidy. The food is amazing! Price is fair for the portion size, which is a good size for me (Big Guy). We ordered their Fettuccini Poblano w/ Chicken and their Chicken Avocado Sandwich which were perfectly prepared. The chicken is grilled, comes out so tender and super juicy. The sandwich comes with a side of soup of the day which happened to be the "1st" tomato soup I actually liked. I was really impressed with this establishment and the quality of food they serve. The sandwiches here are generally fairly good, but we made the mistake today of also ordering the Chicken Alfredo. Never again - there are better offerings at the local HEB. The food is absolutely amazing!!! Excellent flavor profile and plate combination. Be prepared to have the time of your life tasting the various ways they have made each and every dish their own. I personally recommend the chicken Poblano with that amazing sauce covering the chicken. I wanted to bring a bucket of this home with me. As I was enjoying my meal I couldn't resist but ask our waiter about various other plates that were being delivered to other tables (yes I'm that guy). The Poblano Cornbread was insanely delicious...cornbread with poblano peppers and large chunks of chicken cooked into the 2" thick cornbread, with a creamy poblano gravy generously poured over the top. The salad had field greens, strawberries, Mandarin oranges, grapes, feta cheese, pecans, and a raspberry vinaigrette. I was delighted with the meal, the ambience, and the friendly/attentive staff. My personal favorites are the spaghetti and meatballs, chicken alfredo, and the brownie with ice cream. I ordered a panini and it was stuffed with good portion of chicken breast and the soup that came with it was a perfect combo. My son ordered the poblano chicken and their sauce goes unmatched.
