First time in a good while. A friend and I ate breakfast early one Saturday morning. I ordered hash, grits, and well done scrambled eggs with a side of French toast. My friend ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, a biscuit with gravy, with a side of toast. We both ordered coffee. Ah, the service you're wondering, well it was very good. Our waitress was promp, attentive, and very friendly. She made the place like home. The food was promptly served hot, and was just as we ordered too! The servings were plentiful. I'll come back much more often.

Chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, Mexican style hominy, salad, drink and desert included for $14.95

Great service, excellent down home cooking and daily specials. Don't get much better than that.

We had a wonderful Texas breakfast at the Main Street Diner. Wendy, our server, welcomed us with a warm smile, and lots of hot coffee! we high recommend the omelettes, bacon, and hash browns!

What a great place for breakfast! A busy place, but don't let the amount of trucks fool you, it's much bigger inside than it looks. It's also, like many locals favorites, a gathering place.. so many of the people are with others, tables get pushed together and the chatter begins. I walked in, found a seat quickly and within a few seconds I had a menu in my hand and a hot cup of coffee on the table.. They have daily specials on a board.. so that's cool!! But.. as I was reviewing the standard menu.. TADA!! Corned Beef Hash!!! BINGO!!!! I also got the French Toast!! Everything came out quickly and was excellent!! I love me some corned beef hash.. so as a first time customer, you have definitely impressed me!! The waitress was also Top Notch!! She came by constantly throughout my meal to top off my coffee!! Always Hot Always Fresh!! This would be a great place to take out of town visitors to start the day off with a WOW! Moment! There is a reason this place is busy.. great food, great service at a reasonable price. I will definitely be back!

I give it 5 stars for the food and atmosphere! What makes it stand out, just a plain Jane as far as looks...but the basic breakfast, with a down home local cafe feel. Lots of good ole boys in here eating breakfast. I don't want to rave to much....don't want it to get over run by out-of-towners!!! Here is a pic of the breakfast & lunch menu. Hours 6am-2pm

Being an avid fan of the TV show "Heroes," it was mandatory for me to find a greasy spoon diner in Midland, TX when I realized I'd be passing through. The atmosphere here is pure Texas - complete with flanel-clad, cowboy hat-wearing patrons stopping by to get their fix of home style cooking. The fare is typical diner food, burgers and fries, and the taste was great. The service was exceptional, and the nice waitress even had the cooks whip me up something that wasn't on the menu (I had a hankering for a Turkey Melt) which was delicious. The fries tasted like they were fried in cottonseed oil, for that maximum potato taste, which I don't really care for but recognize that folks will appreciate. The tap water was bad, but I can't fault them for the city's supply. All in all, it was an enjoyable meal. Score one for Midland, score one for my belly! I recommend stopping by this quaint little hole-in-the-wall I'd you're ever in town.

Great breakfast. All the locals were eating here. The pancakes, French toast and breakfast burritos were 5 star. Awesome Texas cafe.

We used to look forward to having Saturday lunches at Addies. Unfortunately the prices have…read moreincreased by almost 30%. The service and food have been less than desirable. I ordered the chicken fried chicken that includes a house salad. When I didnt receive it, I asked the server said "I didnt think you wanted it." I said "If it comes w/the meal then YES I want it." She walked off with attitude. The mash potatoes that came with the meal looked brown and watery. When I asked what was it she said, "It's just a LOT butter." I looked at her confused, she huffed and walked away while I was still looking at her. I wanted "mashed" potatoes not butter potatoes. My fiance' order biscuits n gravy. He said "It tasted like Dollar Store gravy in a can." Lol Needless to say he tried to eat it but could only get 1/3 of it down. Then we overheard the diners behind us complaining about the pancake taste and the fact they they were the size of old-school LP albums and WHO could eat that much bread. Lol. After trying to eat this "food"...we just couldn't, Then waited at the table for 15 minutes for a To-Go box for my chicken fried (because that was the only thing really edible) we watched the servers play on their cell phones, not paying attention to customers. My fiance had to get up, interrupt their conversation and ask for box. So me being petty, when we paid I didn't leave a tip and if the server had asked why, I would've replied, "Because I didn't think you wanted one!" And where is the other "tomboyish" looking server that used to work there? She was funny, hospitable and knew how run that place! The crew we dealt with today... Absolutely unacceptable. * Dine at your own risk. ;)

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary the weekend we went, so this place became a new memory for us. My husband loves burgers and I love breakfast. We were trying to find a place in Midland that could serve both of our cravings, and we ended up finding our favorite place to eat! I only ate half of my meal and my husband made it through his burger ha! Also, if y'all are wanting hot sauce, ask for the house salsa. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant has been owned by the same family for two generations. The ambiance is a casual, family-friendly time warp with the best food in Midland! Try to take pictures with the novelty items inside and the murals outside. It was such a great experience!

This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in a long time…read more The service was extremely slow, and after waiting far longer than expected, our food arrived cold. After that kind of wait, serving cold food is simply unacceptable. What really made this experience stand out, though, was the owner's attitude. When I had a question about my bill, he walked up, grabbed the ticket out of my hand in a rude manner, and acted like I was the problem. I made an honest mistake because I didn't realize the kids' meals didn't include drinks. Instead of simply explaining it politely, he responded in a condescending way, basically saying they never come with drinks. To make matters worse, the drinks for the kids were $2.99 each--the same price as an adult drink. The children were only 20 months old and 5 years old, so charging full-price drinks for toddlers and young kids was disappointing on top of everything else. I also couldn't help but notice the difference in how people were treated. The owner was very friendly and welcoming to customers he appeared to know, but if you weren't a regular, it felt like your experience didn't matter. Even by the standards of restaurants I've visited in Midland, this experience stood out for all the wrong reasons. Good customer service means treating every customer with respect, not just the regulars. Between the rude interaction, the cold food after a long wait, and the complete lack of concern, this was an experience I won't be repeating. I won't be returning, and based on my experience, I can't recommend this restaurant.

The place has ample seating and is clean and fresh inside. I was drawn to Jimmy's by their extensive menu. It was super easy for my dad and I to both find exactly what we wanted to eat for breakfast. I had avocado toast with an egg over easy and bacon. The egg was perfectly cooked. The bacon could've been cooked a tad bit crispier for my liking. My dad ordered the Classic Combo and added a side of grits. He is pretty particular about his breakfast, particularly the balance of the value vs the taste, quality and quantity (as one should be) and he raved about his meal and whole Jimmy's Egg experience, especially their grits and sausage. He had so much food and we talked about what he would and wouldn't get next time to better fit his appetite and budget. The coffee was also piping hot and perfect with free refills. Our server, Gwen was exceptional and had the prettiest purple pen, notepad and accessories. Thank you Gwen and the rest of the Jimmy's Egg staff for the wonderful food and service you provided me and my dad! He'll be back and I will be back whenever Im in town.

So let me say the rating of 4 stars has more to do with value than anything. Food amazing!…read moreFreshness awesome! I just know I can get all I can eat at "Souper Salad" for about $12 and this was weighed in with soup and a drink at nearly $18. If you have no problem paying for the true organic experience, then this is your spot. Seating can get really crunched during the lunch rush, since it is attached to Whole Foods, so be ready. If your goal is to eat healthier starting out , have plenty of room to sit and stretch out, then head over to Souper Salad on the loop. You will be much happier for your dollar at SS.

This place is absolute trash. We ate here today for $70!!! Three small soups, king casserole with…read moretwo sides, drinks and premade dessert. The state of the place: dirty dishes on almost all table, dirty plates outside ON THE GROUND to feed stray cats (barf). The macaroni comes out of a Cisco style bag, I watched her take the plastic bag out of the heater, cut it open and put it in a pan... is their food off a food truck instead of "fresh made organic" in house stuff? The friendliness of the staff: the lady working the register was rude and could use a job in the back so she doesn't have to deal with customers. The black lady serving the food was nice. Do I feel any of these ladies used hygienic practices behind kitchen doors, no. Thankfully they wear gloves working the line. The food: the food was disgusting. I'm not going to lie. The soup was gross, can't describe the flavor (broccoli cheese). The tea (plain, unsweet) tasted like it was filtered through a cardboard box. The king casserole lacks seasoning. The macaroni and potatoes were completely cold and also taste of cardboard. The only things that were good were the carrot cake and the bottled Texas tea. Who knows if the carrot cake was made here or not. The seating: you can sit jammed into a small hallway area behind the food line, there are a few four tops and multiple two tops - good luck. We went to sit outside, with the option of two tables on a slope (one up by dirty dished cat food, mentioned above) and three off the slope with missing chairs or the second cat slop dish. A worker had one of the shaded tables taken so we took the cat slop table. All in all, would I take my grandmother here? Absolutely never. This is a slop shop and I'm disgusted. Should be shut down honestly. The grocery store could use the space and it would be an improvement.. even if it was dead space, it would be improved.
