First the essential oils placed under my face gave me quite a migraine. I have a herniated disc in my neck which I acknowledge that sometimes that could be an issue but for me this has never been a problem during massages. For some reason she placed several, and I mean several, hot towels on my neck which was immediately pretty painful as this was heavy to be placed with heat on a herniated disc, no matter how healed. Then she quite literally covered me in lotion, like a ridiculous amount where I couldn't even get dressed, barely touched me and ran out of the room, almost before I could even ask her for a towel (I was literally drenched in lotion) and before the session was supposed to be over. So I was left in more pain plus a migraine with a shortened session and covered in lotion, and I did notice that she didn't greet me afterwards to offer me water and make sure I'm doing good like they usually do here. This was all very strange and bizarre, but I assumed maybe this had to do with inexperience and wanted to leave feedback as to why this wasn't the best experience, especially since this is a luxury service that wasn't cheap. The owner called me the next day, and she was genuinely one of the most hostile and unpleasant people I had ever talked to. I am not a confrontational person, and I do think I was being reasonable in leaving feedback. She called me and told me that there is absolutely no way that any of this happened, and that she "welcomes me to not return". I told her that this was unfortunate to hear because I had such positive experiences in the past there, to which she told me I didn't go there enough times to have that much of an opinion. She kept telling me that I am more than welcome to not return, and at this point I wasn't going to but I just wanted her to tell me directly that she was banning me from returning for having a negative experience. She was avoiding saying explicitly that I could not return, but she kept insisting I was welcome to go elsewhere. I told her I would probably leave a review of the situation, to which she said "well that's not very nice of you". I told her it's not very nice to ban me for expressing concerns with my session. She hung up the phone abruptly, and the next day another staff member called and offered to reschedule me with someone else. I politely declined. I also want to mention that the ramp to get in the door is extremely inaccessible, I am a wheelchair user and it's borderline hazardous the way it is oriented. If I am to open the door, I have to be on the ramp which is difficult, or the door will push me down the stairs. If you use a mobility aid or have chronic pain I would not recommend, not because of the staff but 100% because of the owner.

I knew it was time to finally see what I have been missing all these years. And, sure enough, I have been missing out big time! Right from the time I entered the building, Mandi was very professional, welcoming and put me at ease. The entire massage experience and ambiance was fantastic. The room was lovely, the bed was perfectly cozy, the music was so soothing, and Mandi even added some lavender aroma therapy that I loved (she asked me if I would like some). Not only was the environment perfect, Mandi's massage was incredible. She was very responsive to my preferences and specific needs. Since this was my first massage, I opted for a light to medium pressure massage. This was perfect for me. I was so relaxed and whatever area Mandi was working on felt soooooo good. Like a fool I stopped going to our previous chiropractor after only a few treatments, so now we're practically starting all over again in correcting the curvature (or lack thereof) of my neck. My husband is seeing Dr Thea for different issues, mainly for his lower back and his shoulders. Though we see her for different reasons, treatment is similar at its core. What we love about this doctor is that she does not only look at your symptoms, she looks at your overall health, your habits, health history, etc. to get a full picture so that she can provide the best possible treatment. She will take all information and your x-rays and will create a treatment plan and information folder for you to take home, she is very thorough and truly cares about her patients' well being. Before treatment my husband gets to use the traction table, however I think that I am getting the better end of the deal.. Rolling table thing which massages my entire back for a few minutes.. where have you been all my life?! I am not sure what this is called, but I need one at home! I have never been adjusted by a more gentle chiropractor, and I love it. She doesn't try to overdo anything, if it doesn't 'go' she will either apply heat, massage a bit, or plan to get it next time. She'll teach you things which you can do at home to help/keep up with treatment at home such as stretches in-between visits. My pain levels have gone down since starting treatment which makes me extremely happy. Because insurances can be limiting and can be cost prohibitive, we just pay out of pocket on a monthly basis. We get unlimited visits per month at a very reasonable price, much less than copays for the same amount of visits (except now the visits aren't limited) - works for me!

You can also book through their website. My first visit was for energy adjustment of reiki as a treatment for severe leg pain and weakness. My regular doctor suggested it since what their western medicine could not help. I hadn't had any energy work in 3 years. Angela was very patient and understanding. We talked about what I needed and why. She was understanding of my late soulmate who stays close and is very protective. She asked EBS'S permission to work. She could even heard him. The session lasted 55 minutes. I came back a couple weeks later for a deep message therapy for the lower back and legs. This helped my legs more than anything else has. Afterwards she told me to rest and drink lots of water. I plan to come back again for the deep message therapy for the legs. I was very pleased with the facial, Holly did an excellent job and gave me a ton of great tips. Pricing was very reasonable and the facility is nice enough. I was just a little bit irritated by how hard the desk staff was pushing a rebook in 3 weeks (who gets facials every 3 weeks?!?) and a membership under the guise of "no pressure" when I clearly stated up front that I was not interested. I generally avoid chains like this because I don't like to feel pressure to join their programs and I was a bit put off by that.

Unfortunately, I have to be on time and if you aren't on time that eats into your service time. Appointment after appointment I'm left waiting for services to start on time. Something I have noticed with the n current leadership change. I have shared this feedback with Massage Envy staff as well. Hope they listen or they will continue to be impacted by customers looking for a new place.
