The shop is a bit like a museum, too, but one you can shop! The woman minding the store was very gracious from the moment we walked in. She invited us to check out the three rooms of goods, all in air-conditioned comfort. Individual vendors' booths of fascinating stuff were brought together with clever display tactics like overhead swags, lighting, and fun touches like a hoop skirt hung on high. A pair of vintage boots hung below the skirt. The owner enjoys displaying objects in unexpected ways, making browsing the store a visual treat. The effect was the opposite of staid and dusty. Reimagining the accessories of the past with a contemporary flair works very well. The items displayed out front on the sidewalk seemed pricey to me. But once inside I saw more reasonable pricing. They are willing to deal when possible, which could be helpful when you find a treasure that speaks to you. Worth a visit!

I wouldn't assume that all of your customers have the same beliefs as you. It's very uncomfortable and, for that reason, I won't be back.

Dear Hubby wanted to stop at the antique places in town. I reminded him that the previous shop at this location had closed. I was very happy to see this new entity in the same space. The address is the same, but the interior has been remodeled and modernized. It's much more open, with fresh paint and a different vibe. It's still a vintage mall kind of arrangement, with vendors having spaces for their own unique finds. They feature a full line of Dixie Bell paints and accessories for those ready to refinish furniture. This is something we're starting to pursue, and I picked up a few supplies. It was also fun to browse through the shop and see the treasures that dealers have brought in for sale. Prices are mostly fair. The woman minding the shop was very friendly and helpful. Her sunny attitude complimented the new venue. We always enjoyed browsing the previous owner's shop, and now there's a different experience to be had with the new ownership at this location.

Thanks to the daughter and husband of the owner, I took a chance with looking at this shop. The…read morelady wasn't very acknowledging to us as visitors...especially with this being a new business. I guess the people that had her attention at the moment may have been close friends or something, but I don't know...we almost walked out. However, the husband came over and introduced himself. We talked about the jams/jellies that were for sale, told him I was from Texas, got a good vibe and then decided to walk around. I went to the back where the coverups and frocks were in the clothing area and spotted a BEAUTIFUL one size fits all tan and white checkered coverup imprinted with colorful orange and yellow sunflowers and dropped everything to try it on. While I looked for a mirror, the daughter of the owner came over to help me out. I really liked her. She had a very cheerful, upbeat, Kate Hudson sort of vibe. Anyway, I tried the top on and then we both GASPED OUT LOUD at how beautiful the coverup was and hugged each other! Lol! Number One: I never find anything that fits me. And Number Two: if it fits me, it never fits me well. But no, Honey! This cover up top was PERFECT and only $26! I paid in cash, the owner dropped the tax and all was right with the world!
