Have stopped here a couple of times…read more Both times I have gotten earrings and so thankful I stopped for them. The ones I have purchased from from here are the main ones I wear. My ears are very sensitive and they sell good earrings for them. To me the price for them are a steal too. Owner is super sweet and helpful the times I have come. I found a small elongated bookshelf on the left side of the store, with books thrown haphazardly around. While I found a few books that caught my eye, I had to pass on them since I didn't have extra cash. Disappointed. I also noticed a very small display of purses and saw some clothes, too. Not much variety, which could be for a many reasons I understand. Another thing I noticed was Spanish music blaring from the corner of the store. A really big turn off to me. I would say the Goodwill down the street has a much better selection and store layout all around.

The inside of the store has been remodeled and while it opens up the inside space for the products, it makes it feel very cramped inside. I don't know if this is a Goodwill thing or not, but IMO more product on the floor isn't necessarily better. I visited recently on a very busy weekend and while I didn't see any employees, the store was filled with customers. I searched for the book/CD section, and while it's still located in the very back, the product was even less than previous times. Color me sad. My friend just recently found a (hopefully) Tiffany (or least inspo) lamp in great condition for $12. If you spend some time, you can find some good deals. Most dresses were priced at $10.99 and lots of smaller sizes like Small and Medium. Lots of shoes but also in sizes 6-8. I do love the color coordination. This makes shopping for options a lot easier. There was hardly a jewelry selection and not much antiques, more modern house goods. You just never know what you'll find so I always recommend visiting because the treasure is in the hunt!

When speaking with Howard prior to bringing in my Citizen Eco Drive watch, he was very knowledgeable and patient in providing me a mini-education and tips on how to maintain my watch in perfect working condition. It is hard not to become cynical as one gets older and less trusting, but Kim and Howard are honest, professional and kind human beings and take their work seriously. They were worth the 2.5 hour drive to have my watch worked on by them. If you live even closer, then you are that much more lucky to have a jewler and watch specialist near you.

This is why you can't trust reviews. My grandfather had a Sessions mantle clock that he probably…read morehad since the 1930s. He passed away in 1970. Flash forward to Thanksgiving 2024. My cousin had given this clock to my sister, and my sister knowing my interest in genealogy, gave the clock to me. It wasn't running right (some movement, but it would stop, also it chimed endlessly. I took it to a local jewelry store, where they had it for about six months before telling me they could not repair it. I realized I needed a special kind of clock repairman, so I did an internet search and found Hopkins Jewelers, in Burbank. This was early May, 2025. They had excellent reviews. I liked the shop. Very old school. Clocks lining the walls. Clocks to be repaired all over the floor. Sure, chaotic but definitely looked like a shop that could handle a nearly century old mantle clock. The owner said give him three months. At three months I called and he said he had looked at it but still trouble shooting. Here's the thing, having the clock, my grandfather's clock, was the important thing. Having it work like "clockwork" would be a bonus but not if I risked this place going out of business. So after another three months I decided to go in and if he hadn't fixed it I would thank him for his time, pay him for whatever analysis he had done, and retrieve my clock. Well bottom line, he basically did not want to return it to me. He didn't actually refuse but he kept tinkering with it for probably two hours, telling me it was maybe this thing wrong, or that thing wrong, but to leave it with him and he would continue working it. I agreed to this (big mistake). So after 11 months of him holding my clock I went back to the shop where he tells me it's fixed. We had put in an original stipulation that he would do a maximum of $500 work into it, but he plugged it in, showed me the second hand was keeping time, charged me the $500 and away I went. I plugged it in at home and for the next ~2 hours it worked, then the hands stopped moving (except the second hand, figures). I called him up and basically he is asking all these questions, so I responded why didn't he check it before telling me it was fixed and charging me $500. Basically he wants me to return the clock and let him work on it again. I am not going to do that, I have my clock back and I am going to write this review so that you don't get ripped off like I did.
