Gather round. Yelpers. Let me tell you about my new favorite place, Erie & Anchor, a place I never…read moreknew I needed. I have boated in Vermilion my entire life. Living in Cleveland, I had certainly noticed the superfluous amount of "coastal" nautical lifestyle brands flush with so much of the same goods. When I first discovered Erie & Anchor, a lightbulb went off. Vermilion was always missing an AUTHENTIC nautical brand unique to Vermilion's specific identity (NOT Cleveland's). Located on the corner of Main Street in downtown Vermilion, the shop is bright, open, and filled with gorgeous items. A brief but not comprehensive list of what you can find inside: men's clothing; women's clothing; baby clothing; local inspired art; keychains; soaps; bags; tumblers; jewelry; caps and more. If you're a boater or sailor, you'll love the practical gear like windbreakers or light, warm pullovers for evening use. The goods are changing almost weekly with beautiful new items and they house a diverse line of sizes that fit ALL body types. Just check the tags and you'll see my favorite brand, Comfort Colors, which is truly inclusive. Erie & Anchor is the bright spot of downtown Vermilion and the AUTHENTIC nautical brand that captures the spirit of Vermilion in a way others can't. This is my new favorite business of 2020.

Erie & Anchor has lots of different items to pick from - I purchased a cute leather purse along with a long sleeve shirt! Everything was well priced and nothing but quality in the store. Their collection is always rotating, so be sure to stop in a shop local!

I usually find going into a Verizon painful. I have been in some Verizon Wireless' around CLE for simple tasks and felt like I spent an entire day there. I was in and out here in under 30 minutes and it was a DELIGHT. Anthony, the manager, is extremely helpful. He's very knowledgeable, didn't try to upsell me on anything and kept everything black-and-white. He is by far one of the most qualified people I have ever dealt with at a Verizon local store. He knew exactly what he was doing and didn't get "held up in the back" or "need my manager" as I've had had happen to me at other Verizon locations. I stopped in during a late afternoon and was the only person there. Anthony wore his mask properly (key word: properly) the entire time and I felt as comfortable as I could have for needing to be out during COVID. Thanks Anthony for all your help and allowing me to get in and out of the store quickly with no fuss or catches!

The young male worker that was working last week was rude. The service he was going to make me pay for was free at the store in Lorain. I don't even know if I have the words to describe the level of customer service. I suppose the only way I can make sure he doesn't continue is to let people know that there are two stores a few miles away that are nicer, actually have samples of phones and have employees that can speak to you, not at you. The level of disrespect coming from the Vermilion store is unbelievable. I didn't go in angry or demanding I went in looking for help and guidance. I left wondering why I am even with Verizon if this is who represents their company. Just a warning I was told by this worker that they charge for information if it's something they can do. He called it a "tip"! So if you need help with something you've already spent thousands of dollars on, I suggest going to another store.

There are two ladies there that are very knowledgeable, always willing to help and make suggestions if you are open to listening to their advice. Yesterday I walked into the store and did not see the two ladies that I usually work with. Instead there was this young lady with the biggest welcoming happy smile. I knew what I needed to purchase so I went to get my items. She came to talk to me and asked me if I needed anything. "In a genuine manner, not like she was non-trusting". Well she gave me such great advice. I tried the new Ion Color Brilliance-Brilliant Gloss". She suggested some smaller needed items. She was AWESOME!!! Tried the products she suggested and my hair looks great. What I truly loved as well is that she's an actual stylist/colorist. Her advice comes from actual experience. Kuddos Sally Beauty! You definitely hire the best people.

I love their new brand of nail polish called Koki. It was buy two get one free, so with my coupon I only spent $5 on 3 nail polishes!
