I am beyond angry right now. I don't get mad very often, but I am livid. We took our dog to the vet to get her shots. We went into the exam room, and the vet tech took our information into the computer, and left. As we were waiting for the doctor, some lady comes in to the room and asks Do we have a problem here? I said I have no idea what you are talking about. She says that something was said to the tech. She never introduces herself, and has a horrible disposition. She says that my son said something to the tech while her back was turned. I said he didn't say anything to her. The lady says her tech is in back crying. I asked what the tech claimed my son said. She said the tech said that my son called her a whore under his breath. I said that absolutely did not happen. My son is not in the habit of calling strangers whores. She said well I've known this tech for years, and she would not lie, and walked out of the room. When the doctor came in, I told him I wanted an apology from the lady for calling us liars. He left the room, and 15 minutes later the lady came back in and said she doesn't owe us an apology. I said so you said your technician isn't lying, so we must be lying. She said yes. I said you know, it's possible no one is lying, and your tech misheard my son talking to me. She said it was possible, but she's not apologizing. We have gone to this vet for almost 8 years, and for them to let this horrible manager treat us like this is disgraceful. My son has anxiety is so upset he's having a panic attack. I understand trying to defend your employees from being mistreated, but when she spoke with us, and we told her nothing was said, she should've addressed it differently. She has ZERO customer service skills...she is a liability to the business. read more

Three of my dogs got bit by a snake....scary right...need I say more, lol, but I will. On Thursday late evening 5/12, three of my dogs came inside and we immediately noticed extreme swelling in their faces. They were only outside a short period of time, so I was able to narrow down a time frame and immediately gave them Benadryl. At NO point were they in ANY distress respiratory or otherwise. We stayed up all night monitoring them until we could get them to their vet in the morning. Here is where the story gets crazy. Two of my three dogs are patients at MainStreet Vet and one WAS a patient at JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC (Jackson, Ga.). Long story but for now we will leave it at that. Anyway, I live about an hour away from MainStreet vet so myself and my daughter began the drive at 7 am with the two MainStreet vet patients to be there right at opening time, 8am. My husband was planning to take our third dog to her vet, JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC, so we thought!! My husband called JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC and spoke to Heather. Heather advised him he could not bring THEIR patient there as there was only one vet that day and he needed to take her to the emergency vet as they don't have anti-venom and he will be in surgery as soon as he comes in. (By the way, this was at 7:45 am when he called, and the ER vet closes at 8 am., the closest ER vet to us is about an hour away.) My husband called and let me know about this. I advised him I would try to get her in at MainStreet but she isn't a patient there and this is a walk in situation, however, if they could take her, we would just go ahead and transfer ALL of our dogs from there to MainStreet as JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC clearly is not concerned with the welfare of animals MUCH LESS patients!!! Back to our travel to MainStreet Vet. As soon as the door was being unlocked, I was at the door speaking to Liz. I advised her of the snake bites and the issue with our other dog being a patient at JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC and they were REFUSING to see her. Liz WITHOUT hesitation, said...BRING THEM IN NOW and we will see them ASAP! We have doctors that will/can definitely see them! Liz advised the only thing she needed was the vet records sent from JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC and it would be NO ISSUE at all. I immediately called JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC and transferred ALL records to MainStreet Vet as all my dogs were transferred that day to MainStreet. I spoke to Kaitlyn at JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC, and she of course tried to change my mind and distort what my husband was told on the phone and asked if I wanted the office manager to call me. I advised her no one needed to call my phone as I will be making a compliant online publicly and privately emailing the veterinarians. This was a lot to say but the main thing is that I want people and the veterinarians that work at MainStreet Vet to know what SUPERIOR service and attention your staff gives each of the animals they come into contact with, oh yeh and their owners..lol. My three dogs who got bit by a snake were taken in immediately and treated with such compassion, care, love and attention that I am unable to even find words to express how that makes me feel as a pet parent. Specifically, Liz, Stormy, and another young front end lady (my apologies, cannot remember her name but she was Caucasian, blonde and such a great, friendly personality) all were amazing beyond words. I have never had an issue at MainStreet and trust me, my dogs are prone to being bad and accident prone...lol. The staff and vet(s) have always taken to time to take exceptional care each time I am there. It could be for routine shots or because a snake bit them...but either way it is CONSISTENT, AMAZING CARE every time. My hope is that people reading this take their animals to MainStreet Vet, Madison, Ga. as they are the epitome of quality care for your fur-family!!! And for the veterinarians of this practice, I suggest privately and publicly recognizing their staff to let them know just how awesome they are and what they do makes a difference!!!! read more

We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Williams and the Main Street Vet staff. We have been bringing our many cats to MSV since Dr. Williams opened his practice years ago and they have received the best care. From colds to kidney problems to surgeries with our latest, Bobby who Dr. Williams has been treating for glaucoma. To having to say a final goodbye. They not only take care of our family cats but have TNR'd over 30 cats over the years that we care for. MSV is a huge help to the feral/stray community. The whole staff is professional, courteous and they're love for their patients shows through each time one is brought in. We are so fortunate to have Main Street Vet in our community. read more

"DOGGIE DAYCARE WARNING!!" On April 8th I took my 5.5 month old bloodhound puppy for booster vaccine and as I was talking to one of the vet techs she was telling me that they offered daycare for the dogs. Socializing during covid hasnt been the easiest so River had no dogs to play with so my husband and I thought this would be perfect. The following Monday (April 12th 2021) I decided to take River. The whole daycare program was confusing and disorganized. For starters I had a few questions of course and no one seemed to know anything about it or even how to enter my payment for it into the system yet I was told they have been offering daycare there for several years now. This had me a bit concerned but I thought maybe just not an unorganized office. I was never allowed to see where River would be playing, what size dogs he would be playing with, ect because with his size (60 lbs) I wanted to make sure he wouldnt be with tiny toy breeds for safety. NEVER was I asked ANYTHING about my dog (aggressive, allergies, on any meds, ever bitten, NOTHING!) Luckily my dog is a very sweet boy. Another concern I had was that they would not allow his collar on him when I left him. My concern is that his collar has a tag on it with our name and  number in case of emergency. His name is also on it as well which I would think help identify who the dogs are until staff knows them well. After reading one of the reviews about owner having a tracking device on her dog she dropped off for daycare and her discovering her dog was crated for 8 hrs I guess I know now why collars are removed. When I confronted the owner she did not deny this and used excuse of miscommunication. Beyond unethical! My dog was only dropped of for half days. On the 3rd day (April 16 2021) I asked my husband to go and pick our dog up from daycare and ask him to see if he could see through the privacy fence where the dogs in daycare were being kept because I wanted to make sure my dog was happy there and playing well with the other dogs. What my husband saw was nothing but ABUSE and shocking!! My dog was tied up to a fence with a choke collar and being sprayed with a freezing water hose! Yes a water hose in April not the middle of hot summer!! Of course he was freaking out. Staff member by the name of Abby Everett is the one that had him tied up spraying and jerking the lead if he moved! Another staff member (Mary Ann Mullins) came outside and asked what dogs needed to be dried off and my dog was one of the names called out so my dog was released from the fence and of course ran away fast. Then he was yelled at and called an Asshole. But it gets worse! One of the staff members named Breanna Godwin that is in charge of the daycare dogs sit down in a chair and closed her eyes like she wanted to go to sleep or something and several dogs came up to her playfully and she HIT THEM!! My husband immediately went in and asked for owner! We were just wanting to see our dog enjoying his day at daycare. We NEVER exspected to see such animal abuse and neglect from a VET'S OFFICE!! ALL THIS HAPPENED WITHIN 10 MINUTES! I AM SCARED TO IMAGINE WHAT THE REST OF THE TIME IS LIKE. That evening we were contacted by the vets wife (Jaimie) and she did say that another staff member (Tara) that was out there did confess that all was true and she apologized and said 1 of the workers was terminated (Breanna) but not the others. She also said that they were going to install cameras in the yard but only the ones that THEY can view not the clients which offers NO security for their clients to be able to log in and check on their dogs. We are still in disbelief and would never recommend this place until they learn how to run a business and hold ALL employees that were involved responsible for their actions. I have been very pleased with Main St. They are professional and cordial. I travel 45 minutes to Main St. I have not been pleased with the vets in my area but found Main St to have the expertise and up to date equipment that I feel correlates to a good diagnosis. I highly recommend them. read more

Customer service is not of importance to Mainstreet Vet Hospital. I called and set up a apt for a farm call to spend over $500 with them to have my goats taken care of. They set the appt and even sent me a follow up text message to assure me of our appt. Then I got a phone call this morning, the day before our appt and was told that they could not make our appt due to the doctor now all of a sudden has meeting's and ask if I was able to reschedule for next week. Umm. I have moved my schedule around to be off and available for the time we set?? No I'm sorry no can we help just sounded as if they didn't care. Guess that's what happens when no one takes the time to write reviews about how poorly they are treated. I would not recommend them to anyone for anything. read more
