Prices and selection are fair for a local liquor store but staff is so rude, unfriendly and inconsiderate.

Their improved beer selection has put this on my list of places to go when I crave a certain beer. One of the employees who seems to be a beer expert, has suggested some great IPA's. Truth be told, I haven't shopped much for their wines, keeping it strictly to beers. My go to spot now...sorry Gary's. read more

After striking out at bowling I decided to pay another visit to Main Street Wine Cellars. I was looking for a unique rye and found one in a Pennsylvania Rye. I will be trying it tonight. Saw some stuff for my next visit which hopefully will be soon. Staff always greets you with a smile. Love this place. read more

I was surprised to find such a great selection of Argentinian Malbec wines in Madison NJ. I guess the demand is high. I got the AREO Malbec 2013 bottle which was conveniently located on a rack 10 steps away from the main entrance. They probably knew I was coming. I decided to walk around a little to see if I needed anything else. If you walk in the store and take a right you will see a long fridge full of chilled wine ready to drink and if you keep going towards the main entrance window you'll see a great selection of cigars including dominican. If you decide to take a left and go straight you'll run into the beer section. They have almost every single craft beer out there including Allagash white. One aisle to the right Italian wine, the next one over to the right is California white. Keep going right and you'll hit wine from Spain. Your hard liquor is on the back right corner as you walk in the store. They do have Pisco if you are interested in something new. Done I'm only taking one bottle of wine this time. The people ringing up were young and did not approached me to ask if I needed anything. No hard feelings. Credit card out, swipe done. If I were around Madison again, I'd stop by for sure. Finally! Just relocated from southern California and found this place after two months. It's the first place I've found with a great beer selection the is both large and well curated. This is what I'm used to. Moreover they have fantastic service and reasonable prices. The wine selection is solid and well thought out as well. They said they can do special orders if they have access to the distributor. If you're from the West Coast come here, it feels like a bit if home. I'll be back... A lot. read more

The store is well stocked and has everything most buyers want at a reasonable price. More importantly though, the owner and his staff are warm and friendly and work in a diligent manner to make sure they meet every customers needs. Whether you need bud light, a micro brew, or a special order of a rare liquor, these guys make it happen for you. They'll also deliver and set up for house parties. Sorry to say, but Gary's has a better wine selection and usually the same prices.They are neck and neck with Gary's on Belgian beer, but probably exceed it in terms of US craft beers and international beers from countries other than Belgium. Beer prices are pretty much the same as Gary's. I've only visited the "hard" liquor area at Main Street once or twice, but they might have an edge there as well. In short, go there for the beer and, if Gary's is out of your way, the wine selection wont' disappoint you. read more

I was just informed that this place has been selling KBS beers for $10 dollars a single 12 ounce bottle! On top of which, you are REQUIRED to by a 6 pack of something else! That is horrible! If this is not price gauging, then i dont know what is!!!!! read more
