I used some of my airline miles to fly up here. Yeah, this is a real big airport, big as LAX or SFO seems like. My flight came in on time and I had a little time before my friend was going to be picking me up. Godd, no rental car this time, but the rental place is easy to get to. I see plenty of places to get stuff to eat. I didn't have any baggage to claim, I know better, just go with carry on if you can. The signage is good, so it's easy enough to get to where you want, just follow the signs. I get a call from my friend and I head to the pick up area, with my baggage rolling along behind me. I know what car he has and I see it coming so I wave and he sees me and the pick up is quick and fast. I'm glad he knows the way outta here and to my hotel.

Concourse C got its little renovation -- a few seats, a couple food counters, a pat on the head -- but the rest of the terminal is still a full‑scale meltdown. A and D are bad enough, but B is a straight-up endurance trial. Southwest's area feels like someone tried to fit an entire regional airport into a broom closet. You don't "wait for your flight" there; you cling to whatever square inch of floor you can find and pray you don't get trampled when a boarding group is called. Food prices are so inflated they feel like satire. You're not buying lunch -- you're being financially punished for being hungry. And the lounges? They're basically decorative. Always full, always waitlisted, always useless. You could show up with a Centurion card and still end up sitting on the floor next to an outlet that doesn't work. The only part of Sea‑Tac that doesn't feel like a threat to your sanity is the south‑end security checkpoint, which is shockingly competent and spacious. Everything else is a reminder that this airport has outgrown itself so catastrophically that even the improvements feel like band-aids on a sinking ship.

After a gritty over crowded underground train ride the doors open and a mad rush of human waist head for the escalators. I'm included in that afterbirth of people but I'm special. I skip the shops and head for "THE LOUNGE"! Alaska Airlines has their premium lounge for people who pay to be pampered and of coarse I pay for that privilege... I enjoy the spectacular view of planes taking off while having unlimited tasty beverage ( sometimes alcohol ) and typically morning goodies. This refuge allows me to hide out from the scourge of humanity waiting for a plane to somewhere... Ok, there are plenty of dining and beverage places to wet your whistle including a Wendy's can you believe it... In fact grabbing a chili for my flight is a wonderful idea. It will keep the travel people away from me as I'll donate some of myTreblinka fumes into the ozone layer... Moving onto the shopping well many opportunity's to purchase candy or clothing and maybe even a silly souvenir of our local sports team. Enjoy your experience and have a wonderful flight! Date of visit: July 22, 2025…read more The concept of the different "pods" of gates to help control traffic (likely both people and planes!) is a nice one, but the biggest issue I have with it is that you are unable to walk everywhere you need to go and have to rely on the trams to get you where you need to be if you have a connecting flight. I wish all airports would let you stretch your legs and strut from one end of the terminals to the other, like Atlanta does. All that being said, SEA and the North Satellite Terminal are in overall good condition and the letter/numbering system is straightforward and easy to follow. Like most airports, stairs are an after-thought yet all of the escalators and aforementioned trams were in good condition.

Waiting in the TSA line, it was really going to be a very long wait to get through. As we waited in line, an airport lady official came over to us, apologized for not seeing us sooner and said we should be in the ADA access line. My son is a 50 year old Down syndrome adult. This saved us probably an hour wait time in that line. All the staff we encountered were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Trains were easily accessed and very efficient to go to the area of your departure. Lots of interesting shops and eating options. Really appreciated that the seats in the departure waiting areas have plug ins for your chargers and that they actually work!i it has been many years since I was last here and was amazed at how very busy this airport is, planes lined up big time to wait for their turn to take off. It can take a few trains to get there, depending on where you are. You still have the ability to get some snack, use the restroom and such, but make sure you have what you need before getting on all the way to the terminal, because it takes a little longer to get there. It's a little ratty and seems a bit run down. Mostly standing room, like most terminals anymore, unfortunately.

The TSA Agents for the most times are friendly, they are quick and sometimes personable. There are multiple TSA checkpoints in SeaTac and you have many option of entering to get to several of the terminal's many concourses. Word of Advice for savy travelers. Get yourself TSA Pre-check, CLEAR, or Global Entry to bypass regular TSA. Don't forget that the Wifi is also free at SeaTac!

The salad bar was great - a Cobb salad option (shredded chicken, carrots, cherry tomatoes, blue cheese, greens, and dressing) and a kale edamame salad. Other food options included chicken fried rice, Thai curry soup, caprese sandwiches (veggie & turkey options), chocolate chip cookies, chocolate parfait cups, fresh oranges, and some small snack options. Overall it looked clean but dated. The bathrooms are clean and I didn't try out the Wi-Fi this time! Otherwise I wouldn't waste money to enter, especially since Concourse A is largely peaceful, with tons of seating and outlets. This lounge doesn't have nearly enough outlets. Tip: Sit by the restrooms, there's a power strip. Staff do their best, and they're mostly cheery or neutral. Never tried the drinks here. Food isn't bad. There are desserts! The fried rice is decent, and the salad bar is okay. Unusually, they had a whole box of fresh spicy bird's eye chilis available. I've never seen that before, and made sure to enjoy that. Yow!

Wish I got a second scoop of this one The coffee bar staff and wait staff were all friendly. This lounge gets crowded so seating was tight even with the bar stools.
