Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but that's how I've felt. I came to Kaitlyn with a tangly brown limp mess. I wanted an ombre (a multi toned hair effect) of my natural hair color to white then blue. Instead she offered up a moderate balyage (highlights blending seamlessly) of aquatic. The next time I saw her, more of my hair was balayaged with aquatic, and now basically my whole head is aquatic colored. She transformed me into a sea queen, and everywhere I go people compliment my mermaid hair (no, really, they do). And I legit had nothing to do with it. I never thought I'd have ocean-inspired hair, but it looks so natural that the first time I did it people were like "yeah, that's how you were always supposed to look." WHAT? She also trims me up and offers advice on how to manage the style (french braids are a go, messy buns always work, pony's should be avoided, and can we bring back the scrunchie already?). And I know, without a doubt, that the moment I were to walk in and say, "I'm done with this, could I have something 'normal' please?" she'd find the exact perfect look for me, my face structure, my skin tone, my personality. My partner also sees her every four to five weeks; she keeps his hair and beard line fresh. Love the studio itself - it's small but very modern, minimalist chic. There's ONLY street parking, so if you're in it for more than two hours you might wanna consider Ubering. Also, there are other talented stylists who work here, so maybe go see them? THEY DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION TO MY ALLERGY…read more I had an appointment with Madison for nano brows, and she did not pay attention to my allergies, despite me communicating my allergies multiple times throughout the process. I communicated my allergies upon booking, And she Claimed to have checked all of the products to make sure there were no conflicts. Once I Drove two hours To get there, I filled out some paperwork and confirmed my allergies again. As we were getting started, she says " Let's go over the process so there are no surprises, we're going to take some pictures first, then I will draw on the eyebrows and make sure you like it." I close my eyes, then she immediately put a baby wipe on my face. That's not taking a picture. I asked her what she was doing, she said it was a baby white. I asked her if she checked the baby wipe to make sure I wasn't allergic to it, and I expected her to say that she checked it. Unfortunately, she did not, and I was allergic to it. I washed it off right away, she said we can't do it unless she can use those baby wipes, I asked if she had green soap or something that tattoo artists normally use, she ended up finding some other soap deep in a cabinet, but said she wasn't comfortable going through with the appointment after she exposed me to an allergen in case of a reaction. I can understand that. She refunded my deposit BUT: - I took the day off from work for this - I hired a dog sitter - I drove nearly 200 miles round-trip - 2 hours each direction + being there is about 5 hours of my time wasted - for the past month, I have not done my usual skincare routine in order to prepare for this appointment, and my skin has suffered for it I can't believe that a licensed professional didn't check all of the ingredients once I stated that I had an allergy. I have confirmed with them multiple times that there wouldn't be any conflicts! I scheduled this appointment months ago. I do not recommend this place. They're clearly not detail oriented or safe for anyone with an allergy.

Christie and Betty do an excellent job and they are both really nice girls. Eyebrow waxing is $20 before tipping. Believe me girls, it is worth it. Yes you can go to a nail salon and get your brows waxed for like $10, but you'll get home and finish plucking them yourself (been there, done that). At the Benefit Brow Bar I've never had to go home and finish the job. They are perfect! Once I get them waxed here I'll pluck them myself for a couple months, following the shape. Once they start getting a little wonky though, I'll let them grow in a bit before coming back to get them perfected again. While they are doing your brows, they'll teach you how to use their products so you can make them look just as good at home. They will also put some concealer on you so your face isn't all red and puffy when you leave the store. Benefit make-up is my favorite brand. I wear the lightest shade of brow zings and have been using the same one for about a year. Yes, Benefit brand make up is more expensive than say Ulta's brand or Revlon, L'Oreal etc. but it lasts a really long time and it's higher quality.
