I am sure that since this is a well known towing company and my son was young that they felt is was ok to take advantage of his situation. Towing bill $1153.78 to get a car towed. I understand that it was a unique situation but to charge for a supervisor (2 hours) that was my NOT at my son's request (can't help the people that work for the company can't figure out how to get the car issue taken care of) is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard of. Also not sure two forklifts and the equipment (carrier for fork lift and rigger) to bring them to the site was my son's problem. I think this was nothing but overkill and taking advantage of a situation. And then to top it off they never sent a bill and told my son that he has to come pick it up???? John Moran is unprofessional and swears at AAA customers on the phone. Easy dirt driveway that was cleared, he said he "couldn't get to" because he was running behind. I think AAA should review this contractor! Very poor service! read more

I personally wouldn't even go as far as giving this company a "1" star! We had to have our vehicle towed here from Medway, OH to Springfield which is only approx 17miles! We were NOT sited at fault for this accident but because the idiot that hit us was injured the state patrol said it was procedure and our vehicle was being held as evidence. They charged us 322.80 for a 17 mile tow. Not to even mention the absolutely HORRIBLE customer service they have! The lady (Melissa) who answers the phone is terribly rude and has zero customer relation skills. Moving forward they will NEVER have the chance to tow another one of my vehicles! Also, better hope you have cash on you in the event of an emergency if you need this place to tow you, they only accept cash! read more

Avoid using this company at all cost or it will cost you big time they send semi wreckers to assist in small jobs and charge you big dollars it's not already bad enough your stuck stranded but to gouge you for a routine service is just the acts of huge company that don't care about people any more they sent a semi wrecker to lift my trailer so I could remove the axel that had fallen off and was logged under the trailer my trailer is 18ft and was empty and weighs less than a small compact car they charged me $247.50 to raise the trailer and lower it a 2 minute task makes me wish I would have walked through the rain that night to Walmart 5 miles away and bought a $75 jack and done the job myself highly disappointed I had the same truck and trailer towed this year 32 miles and that company only charged me $140 total hope this helps in your decision to not use maines towing read more

Broke down today and it took them 4.5 hrs to get to me and I ran out of hours and couldn't deliver to all my stores

I've had several cars towed here after they were totaled (unfortunately) and all were covered by insurance (minus deductible) so I can't speak for the cost of that. I did just have my car repaired by them after being given the run around by another "5 star" company in town (you can do the math) and I couldn't be more pleased. The repair was completed for exactly what I was originally quoted and the work was done is less time than I expected. My car was returned to me spotless inside and out. Everyone was very kind and my car looks amazing. I'm glad that the other place acted so ridiculous because had they not been I would have just believed the rumors that "Maines is more expensive", and not gone there. I assure you that Maines was $300 cheaper than the other quote I received and they put actual Honda parts on my car when the other people refused to unless I paid even more than the already expensive quote.
